Chapter 606 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 91
Even though everyone agreed, they were still clueless about what to do next.
Seasonings were definitely essential.
Sure, they had water and food, but how could they eat without salt or any seasonings?
Before they got on the island, all their obvious large luggage had been confiscated. Each person was left with just some emergency food and drinking water, and no one had thought to bring seasonings.
They'd probably have to trade something with Marshall again.
"No need for that, I bought some," Jessica said confidently, waving her hand and not giving Marshall a chance to exploit them.
Cindy was surprised. "When did you buy it?"
"At the last rest stop on the highway. I bought some and hid them in my bag. They didn't search my bag thoroughly because it wasn't that big," Jessica whispered to Cindy.
Cindy suddenly remembered Jessica mysteriously buying something when they were on the bus. She had been curious at the time, and now she realized Jessica had thoughtfully bought seasonings.
Cindy gave Jessica a discreet thumbs-up.
Marshall hadn't expected this turn of events. Although Jessica's voice was low, he heard that she had secretly bought and brought the seasonings to the island. He glared at Jessica and then at the staff who had failed to search her bag properly.
But since Jessica had the seasonings and there were other guests around, confiscating them now would be inappropriate.
Marshall stroked his chin and said, "Alright, we'll leave it at that for now. If you need anything else, come talk to us. Our production team has everything you might need; it just depends on your sincerity."
"I've been in the entertainment industry for a few years, and I've never seen a director as shameless as you," Brent said through gritted teeth.
Gabriel suddenly looked at him. "Did they confiscate your cigarettes before we got on the island?"
Brent looked at Gabriel with a helpless expression, clearly indicating the answer was yes.
Gabriel chuckled, and the other guests laughed too.
"Just be glad they only took your cigarettes. Other reality shows don't let guests use their phones at all. I just ask that you don't use your phones on camera during filming. You can check them during breaks and downtime. That's pretty considerate," Marshall said, defending the production team.
"Yeah, so considerate that we even have to change our own light bulbs," Lester scoffed as he headed into the cave, taking advantage of the light inside.
Seeing the guests getting into the swing of things, Marshall smiled and told the camera crew to get good shots of the cave.
"How could you not clean up in here? You only checked if it was safe," Lester complained as he tried to sit on a rock, only to get dust all over himself. He quickly stood up, brushed off his pants, and borrowed a wet wipe from Cindy to clean the rock.
The other guests also started tidying up the cave. They needed to clean it up a bit before they could put their stuff down; otherwise, everything would get dirty.
While the female guests cleaned inside, the male guests set up a rain shelter outside the cave. They mimicked the director's stinginess by not allowing the crew to use the shelter.
Brent even wrote a sign on a piece of paper that said "No entry for Marshall and crew" and stuck it under the shelter. Then he happily went to find Melissa to help clean the cave.
