Chapter 558 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 43
After breakfast, everyone headed back to their rooms to change, freshen up, and get ready for the next round of filming.
Jessica and Gabriel were still using Clayton and Cindy's rooms, as well as Amy's room, to wash up.
Jessica had just finished brushing her teeth when she noticed Amy sitting on the bed, staring blankly out the window with a disposable toothbrush in her mouth, foam nearly dripping down. It was clear she was lost in thought.
If it were anyone else, this scene might suggest they were contemplating life's big questions. But with Amy, it was obvious she was spacing out.
Jessica quickly grabbed a tissue and handed it to Amy. "If you want to daydream, go ahead, but why do it with a toothbrush in your mouth? Hurry up and rinse before it all drips down." She pressed the tissue to Amy's chin.
Amy snapped out of her daze, looked at Jessica, blinked a few times, sighed deeply, and got up to continue washing up in the bathroom.
Seeing Amy in such a state, Jessica followed her, leaning against the bathroom door with her arms crossed. "Are you still upset about Kevin?"
Amy finished rinsing her mouth, wiped her lips, and glanced at the adjoining room. Although the suite had two bedrooms and two beds, it was still technically one room, separated by just a door. She was worried about the soundproofing.
After listening carefully and realizing Kevin had already left, Amy returned to the bathroom to wash her face. Once she was done, she came out looking dejected. Though she didn't say it outright, her face clearly said: Yes, what else could it be?
As Amy started taking out her skincare and makeup products, Jessica sat on her bed. "Gabriel's advice might have been harsh, but if I were in his shoes, I would have done the same. After all, he's your cousin. He was also directing those words at Kevin. Sometimes, men don't need to spell things out; they understand each other. Gabriel was protecting you and reminding Kevin not to hurt your feelings under the guise of the entertainment industry. Kevin is being respectful by keeping his distance. Maybe you can see it this way: you only respect someone you don't dislike, right?"
Amy paused while applying her moisturizer, looking at Jessica through her small mirror. "So, you're saying there's still a chance between Kevin and me?"
Jessica didn't want to speculate on others' thoughts or give false hope. But Amy, at her age and with her current mindset, needed proper guidance.
Jessica didn't think she knew Amy better than Gabriel did. Gabriel had only issued a warning and said nothing more, so she shouldn't overstep either.
But Amy's eyes were fixed on Jessica, as if searching for any reason to hold on, even just until the end of the show.
Jessica pondered for a moment and said, "You're nineteen this year. How old is Kevin?"
"Twenty-eight or twenty-nine? About the same age as Gabriel." Amy replied, noticing that Jessica hadn't used any skincare products after washing her face, so she handed hers to Jessica.
