Chapter 668 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 153

The two men locked eyes, but there was no tension between them. Kevin's smile was easy and relaxed, while Gabriel's face stayed neutral, like he didn't have a care in the world.

But to Jessica, it looked like they had some kind of unspoken agreement.

If Gabriel thought Kevin was shady, he wouldn't have let Amy get involved in this show from the start.

"When's the boat getting here?"

"No clue."

"What time is it?"

"Yeah, what time is it now?"

In the darkness, everyone in the cave was restless in their sleeping bags. They were exhausted and wanted to sleep, but it just wasn't happening. Without a generator, they had to save their phone batteries. They hadn't expected the show to turn into a real deserted island survival scenario.

They used their phone batteries sparingly, mainly for light when they went to the bathroom together. Other than that, they tried not to use them.

Half-asleep and half-awake, occasional low whispers echoed in the cave.

Jessica had initially fallen asleep next to Gabriel, but she woke up when she heard Debra tossing and turning not far away. She guessed that Debra, being older, was uncomfortable and couldn't handle sleeping on the damp ground. The ground was cold and damp, while the air was humid and stifling. The first night hadn't been too long, as dawn came quickly, but tonight had stretched from evening until now, and it seemed Debra couldn't take it anymore.

Despite her discomfort, Debra hadn't complained once. Only Jessica, lying nearby, could faintly hear her restless movements.

Jessica sat up. Gabriel, who hadn't been sleeping, turned to look at her. "What's up?"

"I can't sleep. I'll give my sleeping bag to Debra. An extra layer underneath might make her more comfortable." She didn't explain further and got up to go over.

Gabriel didn't ask any more questions. If Jessica could hear the noise, so could he.

Seeing Jessica go over, Gabriel glanced in that direction and then got up to bring his sleeping bag over as well.

Debra initially refused, saying it wasn't necessary. Jessica insisted she wasn't going to sleep and that it would be useless just lying there, so she persisted.

With both Jessica and Gabriel insisting, Debra couldn't refuse any longer. She thanked them several times and then quietly told Gabriel to take good care of his wife.

After that, she accepted their sleeping bags and lay down again.

A few minutes later, seeing that Debra had finally fallen asleep, Jessica exchanged a glance with Gabriel and then quietly stepped out of the cave.

Mantanani Island was a vacation spot with beautiful scenery and exceptionally clear waters. But over the past few days of filming, everyone had been too busy participating in activities and games to take in the beauty of the place.

It was now past eleven at night. There were no lights around, except for the faint glow from the tourist area on the other side of the island, which provided just enough light to keep it from being pitch black.

As Jessica walked towards the beach, she linked her arm with Gabriel's. He didn't ask her any questions, just accompanied her as they strolled quietly along the shore.

After walking for a while, Jessica looked down at their footprints in the sand. She then leaned her head gently on Gabriel's shoulder, closed her eyes, and let the sea breeze wash over her. "This is quite a novel experience. It feels like there's nothing to rely on—no phones, no electricity, nothing at all. But I have you."
