Chapter 163 Gabriel Admits He's Hooked

Jessica, originally with freedom of movement, now found her wrists bound and her hands and feet forcibly pinned between him and the wall.

"Stay alert," Jessica said.

"Let me go!"

No matter how Jessica struggled, she was still completely pressed against the wall by Gabriel's tall and dominant body by the elevator door.

Even when Jessica tried to bite him hard, Gabriel didn't release her due to the pain; instead, he pressed her closer to him.

Jessica struggled to catch her breath, her hands that had finally broken free were firmly planted in front of him.

Suddenly releasing the hand that was restraining her waist, Gabriel forcefully pulled down her obstructing hands and pressed them heavily against the wall beside her body.

Jessica seemed to have completely lost all her defenses. As Jessica felt the grinding pain of his teeth against hers, she retaliated by biting him hard once again.

Finally, Gabriel stopped his actions.

Though he didn't let her go, his gaze lingered on her, whether it was due to her intense struggles or something else, causing her cheeks to flush red.

At the same time, his dark eyes focused on her lips, now red like rouge.

Jessica, exhausted from his forceful advances, leaned against the wall, breathing heavily, glancing sideways at him.

For a moment, silence enveloped the space between the room and the elevator as both remained motionless. The motion-sensing light in the hallway suddenly went out.

In the darkness, only a faint light seeped through the slightly ajar door, dimmer than expected, as Jessica hadn't even turned on the living room lights, only relying on the bedroom and kitchen lights.

Unaware of how her heavy breathing and defiant gaze captivated him.

Jessica appeared like an enchantress in the dim light, her azure nightgown and snow-white skin exuding a subtle glow, each breath and movement seemingly carrying a seductive allure.

Gabriel admitted to himself that he was enticed.

When did it all begin?

Perhaps it was on a certain morning when Jessica held a spatula, persistently asking Danielle who cooked the better steak.

Or maybe it was in Nicholas's lens, where she could be fiery and fierce in red or casually eating by the car with a mouthful of food.

Perhaps it was that night in her old house when Jessica's towel slipped, leaving her bare and falling onto him.

Or maybe it started even earlier.

Feeling a growing sense of danger in the darkness, Jessica sensed Gabriel before her was the danger itself, already too close for comfort.

"Aren't you supposed to have a good tolerance for alcohol?" She tried to break the silence, attempting to dispel the sense of danger.

As she spoke, the motion-sensing light abruptly illuminated the space again, too bright for her eyes to adjust.

Meeting his intense gaze, Jessica tried to look away but found no escape, only witnessing Gabriel's fingers lightly brushing against her lips in the opposite direction.

At that moment, Jessica's eyes widened in alarm, sensing something amiss, only to see Gabriel smile lightly.

She attempted to push him away abruptly, but Gabriel effortlessly restrained her flailing body and limbs.

Leaning down.

Heavily.

He kissed her again.

This time was more dominant and overbearing than the last, as Jessica struggled fiercely in Gabriel's embrace to no avail.

Jessica usually maintained a good figure through dietary control, although she didn't exercise regularly.

Despite not being particularly strong, her struggles were in vain against the man's imposing, unyielding physique, which suppressed her as if her movements were merely tickling him.

Jessica, in a moment of urgency, searched her memory and struck him heavily on the spot where he had been seriously injured before, only to find him unresponsive.

Was this truly the end?

With his strength, why didn't he stand up and return to the Harriman family when they were at the edge of the cliff?

Unable to push him away, Jessica, drained of her last reserves of strength, leaned weakly against the wall, ceasing her struggles, allowing Gabriel to silently envelop her in his arms in the returning darkness, his embrace growing heavier.

Suddenly, a drowsy voice came from the slightly ajar door, "Mommy?"

Danielle was awake!

Hearing Danielle's voice, Jessica instinctively wanted to push Gabriel away, but before she could, Gabriel, who had been firmly pressing her against the wall, abruptly ceased all movements in the darkness. She could only hear his slightly heavy breathing in the dark, then see him collapse onto her shoulder under the newly lit light, his nearly six-foot-tall frame almost entirely on top of her.

Jessica was speechless.

Was he trying to crush her alive if he couldn't gulp her whole?

Effortfully supporting Gabriel's slumping body, she turned to scold him, only to catch a whiff of alcohol and smoke on him, indicating where he had been before coming here.

"So busy, why not go home and rest after you're socializing instead of coming here to act drunk?" Jessica grumbled, fearing Danielle might see something she shouldn't, and quickly helped him towards the door, sternly warning him, "Walk properly! If you fall, I won't be responsible!"

Perhaps her tone was too harsh, or perhaps speaking so close to his ear made a difference, as Gabriel's previously unsteady steps seemed to stabilize, and with her assistance, he entered the room with less difficulty.

Danielle, waking up and needing to use the bathroom, found Jessica missing, standing in the dark living room holding a large teddy bear, still not fully awake. Suddenly, the lights in the living room turned on, and she saw Jessica gritting her teeth as she helped Spencer inside.

Danielle instantly woke up, wide-eyed and incredulous, looking at Jessica and then at Gabriel being led in by her with closed eyes, exclaiming, "Wow!"

Jessica warned, glaring at Danielle. "Go back to your room!"

Danielle blinked, pointing curiously at Gabriel beside her mother. "What's wrong with Uncle Spencer?"

Jessica couldn't spare the time to explain Gabriel's drinking outside, urging Danielle with a glance to quickly return to her room.

While the autumn night outside was cold, the house was warm inside.

She helped Gabriel sit on the sofa, removed his coat, stretched her arms, and hung it up nearby before turning to attend to him
