When Rachel made that comment, Jessica glanced over at her. Gabriel, clearly uninterested in the petty conversation, focused on unwrapping another veggie sandwich they had just bought. He handed it to Jessica, signaling her to eat and ignore the pointless provocation.

It was unclear whether Rachel was in a bad mood because of a fight with Lester or something else, but she often had a slightly confrontational tone when speaking to others. However, it seemed like Jessica was her main target.
Jessica and Rachel didn't have any professional conflicts; their work was in different fields, and they had never collaborated before. There was no apparent friction between them.
But Jessica's intuition told her that Rachel had a significant issue with her.
Jessica didn't pay much attention to it. She smiled, took a bite of her sandwich, and continued watching Brent and Melissa.
Melissa, seemingly ignoring Rachel's "joke," sat next to Brent with a smile, picked up her chopsticks, and tasted the food in her lunchbox. The food was delicious, and her eyes lit up. "This is pretty good."
Rachel, feeling ignored, didn't say much more. She looked down at the other dishes on the table and suddenly said, "I think I'll help Ms. Jenner and Cindy with lunch. I want to learn how to cook."
Cindy nodded. "Sure, but make sure to have a good breakfast. We have a lot of activities this morning, and you'll need the energy to get through the day."
Rachel then turned to Jessica. "Is that okay with you, Ms. Jenner?"
Having been addressed multiple times, Jessica couldn't pretend not to hear anymore. She took a big bite of her sandwich and nodded, her mouth full, signaling her agreement.
In this group of artists, Debra and Cindy were like the family heads. Jessica, caught in the middle, was almost ready to retire and didn't need much exposure. She saw this as a unique travel experience with Gabriel and a way to fulfill her contract with Marshall. She didn't need to do anything attention-grabbing or engage in conversations that would draw too much attention. She just wanted to enjoy the filming of this show peacefully.
Moreover, she had little interaction with Rachel before. If she found Rachel's way of speaking inappropriate, she would just minimize their conversations. Everyone was here with their own family teams, so there shouldn't be any major issues. After all, they were on camera, and their personalities and temperaments would be magnified. Even if someone wanted to cause trouble, it would depend on whether the group allowed such disruptions to affect the show's outcome.
Gabriel's phone rang. Although he wasn't in Xyleria or at the company, he was often there and rarely took breaks. The company was used to having him around, so even on a temporary leave, work still required his approval and coordination.
Since it wasn't a live broadcast but a recorded one, some footage could be edited out. Gabriel said, "Enjoy your meal, everyone. I need to take this call."
He gave Jessica a look, reminding her to eat her breakfast, and then stepped away with his phone.
Rachel watched Gabriel's tall, upright figure and casually remarked, "People from different circles really do have different auras."
After saying that, Rachel glanced at Lester, who was eating his fried egg, with a look of obvious disdain in her eyes.
