Chapter 704 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 189
As soon as Marshall finished speaking, everyone's eyes darted to Brent and Clayton, eager to see their reactions.
Despite the suspenseful music playing in the background, the two men stayed seated, completely still.
The crowd was momentarily stunned until a gasp from one direction drew everyone's attention to Jessica.
Or rather, to Gabriel, who had been standing silently beside her the whole time.
Seeing Gabriel rise with a calm expression, Elise, who was next to Jessica, was the first to react, her jaw practically hitting the floor.
The other guests turned their heads in disbelief. "Mr. Harriman?"
"No way!"
"Is it really Mr. Harriman?"
"Oh my God, this is crazy."
"How did we not notice?"
"It's actually Mr. Harriman."
Jessica was the only one who seemed to have accepted this truth from the start.
She had been certain that Gabriel was the culprit all along.
But knowing the answer in her heart, she couldn't vote for Gabriel because of the budget constraints.
"Marshall, you really went all out this time. For the first time, you made Mr. Harriman the killer?" Brent said, trying to keep his jaw from dropping. "How did you get Mr. Harriman to go along with this?"
The implication was clear: Gabriel's cooperation was either a huge concession to the show or a significant favor to Jessica.
No one had expected it to be Gabriel.
From the beginning, no one had dared to suspect Gabriel.
Everyone thought Gabriel was just a cooperative participant, not someone who would go to such lengths.
Except for Kevin.
"How could it be Mr. Harriman? There has to be a motive for murder, right?" Cindy said, still in shock.
Jessica was also curious about the backstory Marshall had given Gabriel.
Marshall then finally revealed the truth. The kitchen surveillance footage, which the hotel had claimed was broken, was now being shown.
The timestamp indicated it was around 3:30 AM. The camera captured a tall, upright figure emerging from the elevator. At that hour, only a few staff members were on duty, most of them dozing off at their desks. The person came out of the elevator, not through the main entrance, so no special alert was triggered in the lobby.
Gabriel's movements were so natural that even if a staff member had groggily noticed him, they wouldn't have thought anything was amiss. They might have assumed he was just a guest getting a drink from the kitchen's fridge, a common occurrence.
So no one paid attention.
In this unassuming manner, Gabriel silently entered the kitchen.
The chef's death was executed in a simple yet untraceable way.
Gabriel's actions in the kitchen were methodical. He first opened an overhead cabinet, took out a juicer, and applied an unknown substance to its edges before placing it conveniently next to the microwave.
Next, he positioned a folding table against the wall, cleverly hiding a knife wrapped in plastic wrap.
The video then switched to another angle.
