Chapter 315 Anyway, the Person In Front of Her Is Gabriel

Gabriel stood tall, but Jessica, fueled by a sudden burst of energy, kissed him once and found it wasn't enough. She grabbed his collar and pulled him down for another kiss.

Gabriel looked down at the passionate Jessica, wrapped his arm around her waist, and held her close. After Jessica, standing on tiptoe, kissed him messily, she was about to pull away when Gabriel held her in place and kissed her back deeply.

Jessica was almost out of breath and struggled to say, "I can't breathe, I can't breathe."

Gabriel finally let her go with a low chuckle and kissed the corner of her lips again. "Still trying to seduce me?"

Jessica frowned, her eyes hazy, and glared at him, saying, "I'm just trying to repay you for saving me."

She could barely stand as she spoke, and as soon as she finished, she leaned into his arms, her head bumping against his collarbone, and she started playing with the buttons on his shirt.

"Hiss." Gabriel let out a low hiss, whether from the pain of her bump or her words. His hand, which had just released her waist, tightened around her again, even more firmly than before. His deep voice sounded above her head, "Saving you once comes with such a big reward?"

As Gabriel spoke, Jessica felt her clothes gradually being removed.

She couldn't care less; after all, the person in front of her was Gabriel.

She cooperatively raised her hands to wrap around his neck. As her clothes were peeled off one by one, she closed her eyes and mumbled, "Yeah, I left Danielle with Cynthia. That bad Cynthia, took Danielle's favor but didn't come to save me. I'll deal with her tomorrow."

As she finished speaking, Jessica felt the cool air on her skin. Suddenly, she was lifted off the ground and carried into the bathroom by Gabriel.

"Ah, I'm cold." She barely got the word "cold" out before she was submerged in warm water. Gabriel came over her body at the same time, his arms propped on the edge of the bathtub beside her.

Jessica looked up at him, seeing Gabriel's Adam's apple move and the intense desire in his calm eyes.

She frowned, groggily wanting to say she didn't want to bathe together, instinctively recalling the last time in the hotel bathroom in H City. But before she could speak, her words were swallowed.

The steamy air in the bathroom seemed to carry an inescapable heat.

Despite the cool night air, a gentle breeze brought with it a welcome warmth, softly billowing the curtains.

The next morning, after two snowfalls, Xyleria was blessed with rare sunshine.

The light pierced through the lush greenery of the Harriman family estate, melting the thin layer of snow on the leaves, mingling with the crisp morning mist.

Jessica turned over but couldn't get up, an arm pressing down on her. In the groggy, slightly hungover morning, she finally opened her eyes and sluggishly turned to Gabriel, who was lying beside her.

Gabriel was clearly awake but hadn't opened his eyes. The arm around her pulled her into his embrace, his morning voice low and husky, "Awake so early? Does your head still hurt?"

The memories of last night were fragmented and disjointed. Jessica obediently nestled in his arms, trying hard to recall what had happened. She vaguely remembered that Cynthia hadn't replied to her messages, and then Gabriel had suddenly appeared.

She had even forgotten that she had messaged Gabriel for help after getting drunk, not knowing how he had suddenly shown up.

"Ouch, it hurts," Jessica muttered, raising her hand to her forehead. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed this seemed to be a bedroom in the Harrimans estate. Despite her hangover headache, she couldn't help but ask, "Why did you bring me back to the Harriman family?"

Gabriel's long, strong fingers landed on her head, massaging her forehead and temples. He looked down at the quietly lying Jessica. "Yesterday was New Year's Day. I came back to see Grandpa Michael. I was already at the Harriman family before I went to pick you up, so I brought you back."

Jessica's headache eased a bit. Though warm and comfortable in his arms, she suddenly realized she was wearing his clothes again.

Even with her fragmented memory of last night, she had a vague impression.

Her mind suddenly buzzed. Hopefully, no servants had passed by his room last night.

Just as she thought this, Sarah's voice suddenly came from outside the door, "Mr. Harriman, breakfast is ready. Today's breakfast is in the front hall."

Jessica heard the voice and quickly tried to sit up, but Gabriel calmly pressed her back down, whispering in her ear, "Go back to sleep."

Jessica looked at him in surprise and whispered, "This is the Harriman family. You don't usually have the habit of sleeping in, and since we're both awake, shouldn't we go greet Grandpa Michael?"

In her impression, although there weren't many old-fashioned people around anymore, in a family like the Harrimans, with Michael's love for opera, there would definitely be some family rules and etiquette. Not getting up for breakfast together would be considered quite willful.

"Not today." Gabriel gently patted her, his hand stroking her head. "Listen to me, go back to sleep."

Though she wasn't in great shape due to the hangover, and it wasn't a good time to meet people, even though she had bathed last night, she was still worried about any lingering smell of alcohol.

But Gabriel was always disciplined and never willful.

Yet he was lying in bed with her, showing no intention of getting up.

Sarah, not hearing a response from outside, waited for a while before leaving without knocking again.

In the front hall, Nicholas, who had gotten up early, had just finished washing up. His short hair was still damp as he sat at the dining table with a grumpy expression.

Imogen and Kimberly were already there.

It wasn't until Michael, who had already sung two operas in the courtyard, came in with his cane, that everyone noticed Gabriel was missing.

Michael immediately looked in Nicholas's direction. Nicholas, just picking up his knife and fork, shrugged under Michael's gaze, indicating he didn't know.

Michael then glanced at Fred, who immediately walked over and whispered in his ear, "Last night, Mr. Gabriel Harriman brought Ms. Jenner back. It was already very late."

Hearing that Jessica had been brought to the Harriman family, and clearly taken to Gabriel's room, Michael's frown relaxed, and he said in a good mood, "Ah, let them sleep. Tell Sarah not to wake them up."
