Chapter 431 Good Morning, Mrs. Harriman

Suddenly, hearing Jessica's "questioning," Danielle quickly covered her little mouth, her eyes wide as saucers in Gabriel's arms. She looked up at him with a face that screamed, "What do we do? Mommy's gonna be mad!"

Gabriel chuckled and asked, "Do you know what time it is now, kiddo? If you don't sleep, you'll be a zombie in the morning."

Even though Danielle had caught a nap at his office, it was super late, and her internal clock was already sounding the alarm. She was starting to feel really sleepy.

"But I wanna sleep between Mommy and Daddy," Danielle whispered, sneaking a glance at Jessica, who had just walked into the bathroom.

"Danielle, come take a bath. You can only sleep after you bathe," Jessica called from the bathroom as she ran the water.

Gabriel carried Danielle into the bathroom. Jessica, sitting by the tub, turned to look at him. Seeing his gaze, she could guess what Danielle had just said. She quickly looked away, avoiding his eyes until Danielle came over to the tub. Gabriel then closed the bathroom door from the outside.

Jessica and Danielle took a quick bath together since it was already super late. After drying Danielle's hair until it was half-dry, she carried her to bed.

Danielle, already nodding off during the bath, immediately burrowed under the covers and fell fast asleep once she hit the bed. Her little feet stuck out from under the blanket, and Jessica gently covered her with the blanket that had been kicked aside.

Jessica didn't dry her hair either, feeling too tired to get up. She lay there holding Danielle, unable to resist closing her eyes. Hearing the sound of water from the bathroom, she knew Gabriel was also taking a bath.

Half-asleep, Jessica suddenly felt a towel being placed on her hair. She drowsily turned her head slightly and saw Gabriel gently drying her still-wet hair with a towel.

"There's no hairdryer here. If you don't dry it more, you'll catch a cold," Gabriel whispered in her ear as he continued to dry her hair. He gently brushed two damp strands of hair from her forehead to her cheeks. Seeing how sleepy she was, he couldn't bear to wake her. After a few more wipes, he removed the towel.

Jessica turned back to continue holding Danielle. She felt the blanket lift slightly and half-opened her eyes to see Gabriel indeed planning to sleep on the other side of Danielle.

Gabriel's arm rested on both her and Danielle, embracing both mother and daughter.

Danielle, already asleep, seemed to sense something in her dream. She turned over and buried her face in Gabriel's chest, snuggling comfortably and placing her little feet on his leg.

Gabriel chuckled softly, holding Danielle while looking at the half-asleep Jessica, who was squinting at him.

Jessica also snuggled closer to him, making it easier for him to hold them both.

A night of sweet dreams followed. In the morning, Danielle woke up to find herself lying between Mommy and Daddy Gabriel. She lay there happily, covering her mouth to stifle her giggles. Danielle didn't know how to express her overwhelming joy and couldn't stop laughing. Jessica was inevitably woken up by her. She opened her eyes to see Danielle and was about to ask why she got up so early.

Unexpectedly, Gabriel, with his eyes still closed, suddenly reached out and pulled both of them into his arms. He opened his eyes, looked at Jessica, then at the giggling Danielle. He kissed Danielle on the top of her head and said gently, "Great-grandma's probably up already, waiting for you. Wanna go see her?"

"Yes!" Danielle quickly wriggled out of his arms, sat up on the bed with her messy hair, kicked off the blanket, and stood up, ready to jump for joy. Jessica quickly held her down.

"Careful, kiddo. Go wash up," Jessica pointed to the bathroom with her eyes.

Danielle obediently hopped off the bed and dashed into the bathroom.

Jessica was about to get up when Gabriel pulled her into his arms, kissed her on the top of her head like he did with Danielle, and looked at her sleepy expression. He said in a deep voice, "Morning, Mrs. Harriman."

Jessica looked up, her mind racing with everything she had learned last night. She remembered how she had thrown herself at Gabriel in the car seven years ago.

Her fragile heart started to race again. She hurriedly said, "Morning," and quickly got out of his arms, afraid that her blushing face would make him think she had dreamed about something last night.

Even though she had slept well and dreamlessly, the memory of that night seven years ago became clearer. Every detail flooded her mind, leaving her no escape.

As she hurried out of bed, she thought she heard Gabriel chuckle. She quickly put on her slippers and rushed into the bathroom.

Early in the morning, Mackenzie posted a photo of the entire studio working overtime in the group chat, along with several dramatic emojis, tagging Jessica and threatening that she must buy everyone coffee, or they would all go on strike.

Lynn replied in the group chat: [Wheeeee, it's tough being a worker, especially with overtime.]

Zoey: [Exactly.]

Employee: [Boss, one cup of coffee, thanks! @Jessica]

Employee: [One mocha, thanks, boss! @Jessica]

Jessica quickly sent money in the group chat, telling everyone to buy whatever they wanted, trying to appease her team.

She had guessed that the studio would be busy these days, but she hadn't expected them to be so busy that they had to work through the night and hadn't gone home even after dawn.

After Gabriel and her relationship went public, it was a shock she still couldn't fully digest after a day. For everyone in the industry who had ever had a grudge against her, it was not just shocking but terrifying.

The studio had been monitoring Instagram, dealing with the media, and preparing press releases. Because it involved Jessica and Gabriel, every step was scrutinized and handled with great caution, inevitably leading to a lot of work.

Although Jessica hadn't checked Instagram again, the buzz about her and Gabriel remained high.

No matter how many fans there were or how much they searched, they couldn't find more information or gossip about Gabriel. There was still only that one profile photo. Fans wrote hundreds of short fanfics overnight, imagining countless versions of their love story.
