Chapter 712 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 197
Even if they were photographed now, they didn't need to hide like other celebrities.
As their fans had once shouted, "Legal couples are the best!"
Jessica noticed the glances from people around her, shifting between her and the now distant Gabriel. She calmly took a sip from her water bottle and sat comfortably, waiting.
Before long, the other guests began to gather at the entrance of the horse track. Brent, Melissa, Hugo, and Elise were the last group to arrive, holding only a twenty-dollar discount coupon. They looked at the long line of people and then over at Jessica.
Kevin's group had already entered the track since their discount coupons covered the cost. Clayton's group, with Gabriel, would surely get in too, leaving only Brent's group outside.
Jessica noticed Melissa's gaze and saw Elise trailing behind Hugo. Although Elise usually liked to stick close to Jessica, she knew the rules of the show and didn't come over to ask for help.
Jessica waved at them, not mentioning the tickets. Instead, she quickly asked the staff for a few bottles of cold water and handed them over, standing up to offer her seat to anyone who was too tired.
"Did everyone else get in?" Brent asked after taking a sip of water, clearly exhausted and parched.
"Yeah, Clayton and the others are still in line with Gabriel. You should join them," Jessica said, signaling Melissa to lead Brent and the others over, her look clearly indicating not to worry about the tickets.
Before Melissa could respond, Brent understood Jessica's hint. He sat down on a nearby planter, holding the empty water bottle, and said, "Forget it, Marshall is watching."
After a pause, he asked, "Did Clayton's group just follow Mr. Harriman in?"
Jessica smiled slightly, "Yep."
Brent raised an eyebrow in disbelief, "Clayton doesn't seem like the type to give in so easily. How did he suddenly become so shameless?"
It was clear that the morning's incident of mutual accusations during the investigation task hadn't been forgotten, and they were still subtly targeting each other.
Jessica handed him another bottle of cold water and said nonchalantly, "It's just a temporary thing, following the leader."
Brent's face darkened as he took the water. After drinking half the bottle, he sighed deeply, realizing that if they didn't complete the afternoon's task, the upcoming ones would be even harder. He turned to Hugo, "Let's go, time to follow the leader."
Hugo didn't mind and had been wanting to ask Gabriel for help, even if it was just for the show's sake. Seeing Brent's earlier determination to complete the task on his own, Hugo hadn't said anything.
But now, Brent had given in to the lack of funds and resources. Seeing Brent's frustration, Hugo shrugged and said, "Alright, let's go."
Gabriel and Clayton's group were near the front of the line when there was a sudden commotion. Brent, with his sunburned face, approached, and the crowd became even more excited seeing the celebrities gather.
