Chapter 217 Being Carried Out Naked by Gabriel

Chapter 217 Being Carried Out Naked by Gabriel

Jessica's arm was yanked out of the water, causing the towel she was using to cover herself to shift with the flow of the water.

She hurriedly tried to steady herself in the bathtub, eventually sitting up and grabbing the wet towel to cover herself.

Gabriel took a sterilized towel and dried the water around the wounds on her arm and wrist, then used a disinfectant cotton swab to clean the wounds.

Jessica shivered in pain, but Gabriel held her hand firmly, preventing her from pulling away.

"Sit still." Seeing her almost slip in the bathtub due to her instinctive reaction to the pain, Gabriel continued to clean her wounds while sternly reminding her, "If you manage to drown in the bathtub, then you are really too stupid!"

Jessica clutched the towel to her chest with one hand while Gabriel the other was held by him, struggling to regain her balance in the bathtub.

The pain was excruciating as the disinfectant cotton was applied to the already waterlogged wound. She endured it while carefully closing her legs in the water. The towel could cover her upper body but not her lower half, so she felt as if she was almost completely exposed to him.

Gabriel, usually so gentlemanly, seemed to have abandoned that demeanor today, acting so forcefully and directly that Jessica wondered if she was just overly sensitive or if she had truly reached his limit and decided not to tolerate her anymore.

Gabriel was not unaware of her constant efforts to cover herself with the towel. He continued applying the medication without saying a word.

Jessica's current struggle was a stark contrast to her bold actions in the Harriman family bathroom.

She probably didn't even remember the scene where she drunkenly and untied her robe in front of him at the Harriman family.

"How did this happen?" Gabriel turned her arm over, noticing there was a particularly deep wound on the underside of her elbow, with flesh almost turned out. It was severe enough that if it were any worse, she would need to be taken back to the hospital for stitches.

Jessica glanced at it. The situation in the car had been chaotic, and she couldn't remember exactly how it happened—maybe Milton had scratched her with his fingers or she had scraped it on something.

The wound was severe, and applying medicine would inevitably hurt more. Gabriel took another disinfectant cotton swab, leaned slightly over the edge of the bathtub, and tried to be as gentle as possible. "Bear with it."

Jessica was about to say, "It's okay, I can handle it," but as the disinfectant swab touched the wound under her elbow, even with the man's utmost care, she still felt a sharp pain that made her entire body tense up instantly, even her toes. She quickly turned her head and bit down on Gabriel's shoulder.

Gabriel paused at the unexpected bite and looked down at her.

Jessica's forehead was wet, either from water or sweat, and she bit his shoulder hard, with her face full of unbearable pain. After a couple of bites, she seemed to regret it and started to pull away, but as soon as she moved an inch, Gabriel's continued application of the medicine made her bite down even hard again.

Jessica could even taste a hint of blood between her teeth, unsure of how hard she had bitten him. Gabriel, however, seemed unfazed by the pain, not pushing her away. He patiently finished treating the wounds on her arm before moving on to clean the cut on her forehead that had been repeatedly banged against the car door.

Jessica released her bite and looked at his shoulder. The expensive white shirt he wore now had bloodstains from her, and his shoulder bore shallow bite marks that had started to bleed. His shirt was also splashed with some water, not a lot but enough to be noticeable. She stared blankly for a moment until the disinfectant on her forehead caused a sharp pain. However, the man held her head firmly, preventing her from moving.

She felt utterly pathetic.

Even Gabriel had been dragged down by her. Such a clean person, now made a mess by her.

Yet, despite the mess, Gabriel's noble and powerful aura remained undiminished. His demeanor was always so clean and sharp.

After finishing the treatment, Gabriel looked down at her. "Can you stand up on your own?"

Jessica nodded. Soaking in the water had helped soothe her body and emotions, and the wound cleaning had brought her back from her chaotic state. Her eyes were clearer now, no longer dazed or overly sensitive.

Gabriel put down the disinfectant and medicine, stepped back a couple of steps, and gestured for her to get up. "Staying in the water any longer won't be good for you. Get out once you're done."

Despite his words, he had no intention of leaving the bathroom.

Jessica looked at him, and Gabriel, calm and composed, looked back at her, still not leaving.

She steeled herself and tried to stand up by holding onto the edge of the bathtub. But in her current state, she was much clumsier than usual, especially with one arm treated and unable to touch water, and the other holding the wet towel to her chest.

She barely managed to stand up before stumbling back. Just as her treated arm was about to hit the water, Gabriel, as if anticipating it, stepped forward and scooped her naked body out of the water. .As her face filled with panic, he lifted her horizontally out of the water, annoyed by the wet towel that hindered him. Without hesitation, he pulled it off.

Jessica's eyes widened as Gabriel carried her out of the water, her mind unable to keep up with the heat rapidly rising to her face.

When they left the bathroom, the temperature in the room was warm and moderate. However, since Jessica had just emerged from the hot water, her naked skin was exposed to the dry air of the bathroom, and she shivered in his arms.

As soon as she was placed on the bed, she used all her remaining strength to pull up the blanket, quickly rolling herself into it. She poked her head out from the cocoon she had made, stretching her neck to look around.

She had been in a daze earlier and didn't know how she had been brought here. It wasn't until now that she realized this wasn't the Urban Oasis Hotel but an unfamiliar business suite.

Gabriel glanced at her, wrapped up like a caterpillar, standing by the bed with a stern yet slightly amused expression.

Jessica looked down at the blanket wrapped around her and her naked body underneath, feeling speechless.
