Chapter 252 Can I Kiss You Anytime and Anywhere Here?

Actually, the apartment on the 31st floor was also nicely decorated, but since he didn't live there, the style was the trendy minimalist Scandinavian design promoted by many renovation companies.

But Gabriel's 32nd floor really exuded a cold vibe.

So, how could a man like him, who was naturally so aloof, do something so public yesterday?

Jessica opened the curtains, and sunlight streamed into the bedroom. She clapped her hands and turned off the lights; it was just as bright inside.

The view from this angle wasn't much different from the 31st floor, and the layout hadn't changed significantly. The master bedroom window faced the south of Xyleria, and the living room's floor-to-ceiling windows faced the Harriman Group building.

She squinted at the view outside for a moment, then turned and walked out of the bedroom. Her eyes swept across the spacious living room, and indeed, it still had that cold vibe. The light gray leather sofa in the middle was larger than hers, and it looked quite comfortable to lie on.

The living room's floor-to-ceiling windows were large, letting in more sunlight and making it much brighter than the bedroom.

She seemed to hear some noise from the kitchen, hesitated for a moment, and then walked over. As she rounded the crystal stone partition in front of the kitchen door, she suddenly saw Gabriel inside.

In the elite upper class, no matter how capable Gabriel was, cooking was generally something they avoided. In the States, the higher a man's status, the more likely he was to have an instinctive machismo, thinking that cooking had nothing to do with them. Even if it was not entirely considered a woman's job, it was certainly the responsibility of a housekeeper.

But seeing Gabriel in the kitchen, she inexplicably found him more attractive than ever. Perhaps it was because she was still feverish, but she felt her head getting hot and her heartbeat involuntarily quickening.

Gabriel wasn't wearing a jacket or casual home clothes; he stood by the kitchen counter in a white shirt.

His kitchen was separated by a crystal stone partition, which kept the space healthy and free from smoke.

Gabriel must have just showered; the collar of his shirt was unbuttoned, revealing a clean and distinct Adam's apple. His usually pristine dark hair was still slightly damp. He was chopping carrots, and the knife in his long, clean fingers seemed to gleam.

The scene before her was inexplicably captivating.

Gabriel, this man, had an indescribable charm that made it hard to look away.

He made her heart race like never before.

"Need any help?" she asked, her voice still hoarse from inflammation.

Gabriel turned to her at the sound of her voice. His gaze first moved down, seeing that she had obediently put on indoor slippers today, and then he looked up at her sickly face. "Your fever hasn't gone down yet. Go back and rest. I'll call you when breakfast is ready."

"Are you making breakfast?" Jessica blinked.

Gabriel's cold, clear eyes withdrew as he continued chopping the carrots by the counter.

"You have had my breakfast before." Gabriel's back was tall and lean.

But Jessica knew very well that he was only the type who looked thin in clothes. He had a great body and was incredibly strong. When he pinned her down for a kiss, she couldn't push him away; the difference in strength between men and women was too obvious.

"That was at my place, and I couldn't do it because of my neck. Besides, I didn't pay you, so you couldn't always spoil Danielle by ordering takeout. The few times you cooked, it was because there was no other choice." Jessica's eyes remained on Gabriel's attractive back, not wanting to leave the kitchen. But she really didn't have much energy right now, so she leaned against the side and said, "It's different now."

"There's no difference."

Gabriel suddenly washed his hands, wiped them with kitchen paper, opened the fridge with one hand, and unexpectedly reached out with the other to pull the weak Jessica leaning against the partition.

Jessica, unprepared, was taken into his arms. She quickly said, "Then you go ahead and make breakfast, I'll go out first." But before she could finish, Gabriel easily pushed her against the just-closed fridge door.

He gave her a deep kiss, and as Jessica's eyes widened in surprise, he looked at her. In his clear, indifferent eyes, she saw her reflection. After the kiss ended, he pressed his forehead against hers and said, "Not leaving? Planning to be kissed by me anytime, anywhere?"

Jessica's face flushed, and she turned her head slightly, whispering, "I have the flu. Aren't you afraid of being infected by me? If we both get sick, I probably won't even get to eat breakfast."

Gabriel chuckled softly. "Don't worry, you won't starve."

Jessica still turned her head away, avoiding his gaze. Taking advantage of her fever to hide the blush on her face, she covered her mouth and nose, not wanting him to kiss her again. She tried to walk away, but Gabriel didn't let go of her. He raised a hand to feel her forehead.

"Your fever hasn't gone down. I'll get you an ice pack for physical cooling. Go back to your room and drink more water. I'll call you when breakfast is ready."

Jessica nodded, covering her mouth. As he took an ice pack from the fridge, she instinctively reached out to take it. But Gabriel suddenly pressed her against the fridge door again and kissed her without warning.

Jessica struggled in his arms, softly repeating, "You'll get sick," Bu. he didn't let go until an electronic cooker in the kitchen beeped. He pressed her neck and gave her another kiss before letting go.

Finally regaining her freedom, Jessica quickly escaped, holding the ice pack. The first thing she did wasn't to put it on her forehead but to press it against her face.

Jessica was still feverish and couldn't eat greasy foods. After getting a fever-reducing shot last night and taking medication at midnight, there were many things she couldn't eat now, especially beef, eggs, and seafood.

But Gabriel managed to make easily digestible food for her despite her strict dietary restrictions. He even brought her fruits rich in Vitamin C to help her recover faster. He was really considerate.

Since she couldn't eat greasy foods, he made a few other dishes, which were delicious.

Even though she felt sick and had no appetite, the food was so good that she couldn't stop eating.

"Do you like it?" Gabriel asked, serving her some soup.

Jessica nodded. "Yeah."

He placed the soup in front of her. "Even though work is busy, it doesn't mean I can't find time to make breakfast. Consider it one of the perks of being Mrs. Harriman?"

"Cough!"
