Chapter 604 Sweet Extras of Couple Variety Show 89
Amy walked over, turned her head to take a look, and curiously poked her head into the woods. "Jessica, what did you find?"
Jessica tilted the already opened box to show her. Inside were two cooking pots, a frying pan sponsored by a kitchenware brand, a dozen sets of utensils, and a fire starter.
Just as Jessica found the cooking tools, Kevin called Amy over from the other side. A few minutes later, Amy came back, excitedly holding a small box containing a simple rainproof plastic tarp.
"Didn't we just pass by a cave? It was pitch dark inside, so we couldn't see much. But Mr. Martinez said he took a quick look around. This plastic tarp can be set up right outside the cave entrance to keep the rain out. We can also store the kitchenware outside the cave instead of inside," Amy said happily.
Jessica raised her hand and made an OK gesture, hugging the items she found like treasures. Gabriel, seeing how seriously she took the cooking tools, couldn't help but laugh. He reached out to take them from her. "I'll carry these. There's lightning in the distance, so it looks like it's going to rain soon. Let's get these inside to avoid getting caught in the rain. We can look for more supplies on the way back to the cave."
"Alright," Jessica said, giving Amy a look to signal her and Kevin to follow.
Amy was about to come over when Kevin seemed to have found something else under a pile of rocks. She quickly ran back.
Jessica was curious and was about to turn around and join them, but when she saw Amy unintentionally brush shoulders with Kevin, she paused. Acting as if she hadn't seen anything, she urged Gabriel to accompany her back to the cave, deliberately trying to block his view.
But Gabriel's sharp eyes only lingered on Jessica's face for a moment before he understood.
He wasn't blind or slow; if Jessica could see it, so could he.
Jessica smiled at him, quickly linking her arm with his and heading towards the cave. As they walked, she said, "Let it be. I think Kevin has gotten used to Amy these past few days. They work well together. Just think of them as colleagues and don't worry too much."
Gabriel gave her a sidelong glance. "I think you're the one who's worried."
"Anyway, in Amy's eyes, you're her cousin. No matter what, she'll be under your watch these days. She told me she feels a lot of pressure and is really scared of you. You need to give the young ones some space. If you look at Amy less, she'll be able to breathe a bit easier," Jessica said with a smile.
Gabriel didn't argue, just carried their boxes back to the cave entrance. They were the first group of guests to enter the cave. Earlier, they had spotted a box wrapped in black waterproof fabric hidden by their feet on the way. Gabriel gave a signal to Melissa nearby, and she went to retrieve it.
Although the cave had been checked by the production team and was safe, it was still dark inside for the sake of the show's effect.
Gabriel put the boxes down, pulled Jessica close to prevent her from tripping, and took a flashlight out of her small backpack to illuminate the surroundings.
Clayton and Cindy followed them in, glanced around with the help of the flashlight, and then turned to the production team outside the cave. "There's not even a light in here. How are you going to film this?"
