Chapter 609 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 94
After Isaac finished talking, he noticed Jessica rinsing her mouth. He quickly turned and rushed out to tell Marshall that Jessica was sick.
Jessica didn't have time to call him back. She gagged a couple of times over the sink, clutching her stomach, and turned around, "Isaac, really, it's not necessary."
Isaac had already sprinted out, but after just a few steps, he almost collided with Gabriel, who had appeared out of nowhere, his tall and stern figure nearly blocking the way.
Fortunately, Gabriel sidestepped just in time, and Isaac managed to stop himself, avoiding an awkward situation.
"Mr. Harriman."
"Why are you in such a hurry? Where's Jessica?" Gabriel nodded towards the restroom.
"Ms. Jenner is still inside. She just threw up, and I was about to inform the director!"
Before Isaac could finish his sentence, Gabriel had already started walking inside.
Jessica was just about to come out when she saw Gabriel approaching. She froze for a moment, "Gabriel..."
Before she could say more, Gabriel had already wrapped an arm around her, feeling her forehead, then her face and neck, and finally taking her hand to check her temperature.
Jessica's hands were cold from washing with cold water, and Gabriel's warm touch made her unsure whether to feel too hot or guilty for the concern in his eyes.
They were all here to film a show, and if her illness delayed the schedule, it would be a huge inconvenience.
Why did she have to get sick now?
"I'm fine." Jessica raised her hand to pull Gabriel's hand away.
Gabriel, satisfied that she didn't have a fever and her temperature was normal, though her face was pale, frowned slightly, "If you're not feeling well, don't push yourself. There's a doctor with the team. Let them take a look."
Gabriel knew what Jessica was thinking. She didn't want to leave the island just after arriving and disrupt everyone's schedule.
But they needed to find out why she was vomiting, especially since this wasn't the first time recently.
"Alright, I'll see the doctor later. Everyone had a hard time getting here yesterday, especially the crew who slept even later than us. I'll wait a bit." Jessica knew delaying wasn't a solution.
Gabriel observed her, seeing she could still walk, though her face was pale, likely from vomiting earlier.
Gabriel gently placed his arm around her back, patting it softly as they walked back. They noticed Isaac had already slipped away to find the director.
It wasn't just about whether Jessica wanted to disturb the crew anymore. By the time they returned, the female doctor who came with the team had already been woken up by Isaac. She was wiping her face with a cold, wet towel and immediately approached Jessica and Gabriel, "Ms. Jenner, where do you feel unwell? Sit down, let me take a look."
Though it was early morning and still dark on the island, the sky was starting to lighten, and the sea breeze was chilly.
Gabriel took off his jacket and draped it over Jessica's shoulders as she sat down.
Jessica said softly, "I've just had a poor appetite these past few days. I smelled something bad in the restroom and threw up. It might be heatstroke or motion sickness from yesterday." She spoke quietly, not wanting to wake the other guests still sleeping in the cave.
