Chapter 279 Mr. Harriman Has Indeed Never Misjudged

Trinity looked furious and suddenly charged at Jessica.

Out of nowhere, today's sponsor appeared backstage, grabbed her hand, and sneered, "Miss Best Actress, give it a rest."

The sarcastic "Miss Best Actress" made Trinity's face go pale as she pressed her lips together.

In D.C., the meeting had just ended.

Gabriel was already in the car when he got a WhatsApp from Nicholas.

He was watching a live stream replay.

At the same time, he saw Nicholas's message.

Nicholas: [Wow, what a comeback! My sister-in-law is a star! I remember that movie; she danced so well! Can't believe it was her!]

Gabriel ignored him and kept watching the replay.

He watched the whole thing without skipping. By the time he was done, it was dark, and the car was back at the hotel. Wayne and Landon didn't rush him; they just waited.

Even though Landon and Wayne weren't into entertainment news, Jessica was all over the place today. They had a pretty good idea of what went down.

Just went to show, you couldn't judge a book by its cover.

Jessica looked so bright and beautiful, but a few years ago, she was bullied into dancing for someone else.

Now, Jessica seemed low-key and quiet, but today she fought back hard.

Absolutely brilliant!

Mr. Harriman had never misjudged anyone; a perennial iron tree finally bloomed, and it was the best flower!

Jessica's comeback after five years not only caught Trinity off guard but also surprised the Jenner family, who never expected Jessica to have such a day.

From every step, it was clear she was never the silent, quiet little victim they thought she was.

She was sharper and tougher than anyone.

But Trinity wasn't going to let Jessica walk all over her. So what if she had a bad rep now? She was still the Best Actress, and in this industry, even bad fame was still fame. She'd been in this game long enough; hadn't plenty of others with bad reps made comebacks?

She didn't have a manager or PR team with her now, and even Linda called to remind her to stay quiet and rest for a few days.

But Trinity couldn't stand it.

She forced herself to calm down and suddenly posted an apology on Facebook that, on the surface, seemed like an apology but was actually an attempt to clear her name.

She admitted on Facebook that it was wrong to have someone else dance for her. She apologized, but she explained that five years ago, her leg injury was severe, and the "Red Cavalry" crew was unsympathetic, constantly urging her to return to filming. At that time, she had just signed with Four Seas Entertainment, and both the crew and the company were pressuring her. She had no choice but to take this wrong path. She said that she had put a lot of effort into the movie, except for that dance scene, which wasn't performed by her. Nowadays, even non-action scenes had stand-ins, let alone action or dance scenes. She hoped people wouldn't blow this out of proportion and posted the contracts between her and the "Red Cavalry" crew and Four Seas Entertainment, shifting all the blame onto them.

Since this issue was trending, Trinity's long response that night redirected all the attacks towards Four Seas Entertainment's official Facebook and the "Red Cavalry" director's Facebook, including the official Facebook of "Red Cavalry" from back then.

Trinity had already made up her mind; losing the Best Actress title didn't matter. She didn't rely on the entertainment industry to make a living; she wasn't short on cash. Since she was in this circle, she wanted fame, whether good or bad. As long as there was attention, it was a good thing. If she could turn this situation around, it might not be a bad thing. She absolutely couldn't let Jessica have her way.

The "Red Cavalry" director, an veteran one in the industry, was already fuming about the stand-in scandal. Suddenly being attacked by Trinity's fans with thousands of comments, the old director started to fight back!

The official "Red Cavalry" Facebook page mercilessly mocked Trinity as a fraudulent actress trying to use a five-year-old movie to gain popularity and step up. They stated that all the behind-the-scenes staff and on-screen actors would not allow it! Although the movie was five years old and most fans had moved on, it was still a cherished memory for many. Fans and the general public united to counter-attack Trinity.

That night, stories about how pretentious Trinity was on set, frequently taking sick leave for minor issues, being unprofessional, and needing numerous takes to get a scene right, started to surface. The director was so frustrated that he couldn't sleep at night, and the whole crew had to put in extra effort to teach her how to act and empathize with her character. Because she often took sick leave, the crew's schedule was delayed. Later, when she took sick leave again, the crew didn't allow it, leading to misunderstandings rooted in Trinity's unprofessionalism and laziness.

Trinity wasn't willing to be scolded, and the two sides continued to battle all night and into the next morning.

Jessica also picked up her phone and, for once, personally posted on Facebook.

Jessica: [Don't condemn all crews that have used stand-ins. Nowadays, with the increasing demands of the audience, filming has become extremely difficult. Various stand-ins are common, but every actor's schedule clearly states which scenes used stand-ins, and the contract terms are clearly written. Stand-in actors, though unsung, are legitimate members of every crew, not invisible people hidden by those with ulterior motives. Your mistake wasn't in using a stand-in, but in letting everyone believe that you achieved greatness and won the Best Actress award because of that dance, and you told everyone it was you who danced. I always believed that the conflicts and misunderstandings between us sisters could be resolved within the family, but you took advantage of my reluctance to fall out with you as your elder sister and repeatedly pushed your limits. @Trinity]

Jessica had rarely responded directly to any scandals or rumors, and the last time was when her conversation with Donna's fans was recorded and made public.

No one expected Jessica to personally clap back.

[Indeed, those who have nothing to hide stand firm!]

[Wow, Jessica is standing up and fighting back!]

[What's going on? Elder sister and younger sister? I think I heard something like that in the live stream yesterday. Are Jessica and Trinity from the same family?]

[Both of them are really named Jenner. I thought it was just a coincidence.]

[Oh my God, Trinity's family seems pretty powerful, right? What kind of shocking news is this?]
