Chapter 130 Gabriel Accurately Holds Her Wrist

The sound of knives chopping heavily on the cutting board occasionally came from the kitchen.
Each sound heavier than the last.
After Gabriel lifted Danielle onto the sofa, she sat up straight upon hearing the noise, unable to resist staring at Gabriel with a curious expression. "Uncle Spencer, since you kissed my mommy, does that mean I can't marry you when I grow up?"
As Gabriel sat down, facing Danielle's sharp question, he solemnly nodded at her. "It could be so."
Danielle's face instantly showed a mix of joy and worry. "If I can't marry Uncle Spencer, and you've already kissed my mommy, then you should just be my daddy."
Gabriel chuckled silently, patting Danielle's head gently. "Do you enjoy making decisions on behalf of your mother so much?"
Danielle blinked her big eyes, looking distressed as if burdened. "Other little kids have dads by their mom's side, but my mom doesn't have one. She's all alone and seems to have forgotten to find me a dad. So, I guess I'll have to find one myself."
After saying that, Danielle shifted closer to Gabriel, hooked her little finger around his, and whispered in his ear as Mr. Harriman lowered himself to listen to her. "And mommy allows me to call you daddy!"
Gabriel raised an eyebrow slightly, showing a hint of hesitation towards Danielle's ambiguous statement.
Danielle continued to hold onto his neck, whispering softly in his ear. "My mommy, that time she said to call you 'Sugar Daddy'!"
Gabriel was speechless.
Jessica suddenly emerged from the kitchen, holding a spatula in her hand, her gaze unfriendly as she passed by the two on the sofa and walked straight ahead.
The apartment was spacious enough that the kitchen and dining room were separate. She went to the dining area, grabbed a box of tissues, returned to the kitchen, and then walked past them again and back to the kitchen.
Later that evening, thanks to Danielle, Gabriel finished his meal under Jessica's stern gaze, standing by the dining table with a serious expression and holding a spatula.
Jessica had to admire Gabriel's composure. Despite her unfriendly gaze, he calmly ate dinner with Danielle, occasionally glancing in her direction, indicating she should join them.
Brandishing the spatula like a weapon, Jessica glared at him. Eventually, realizing Gabriel was unfazed by her intimidation, she couldn't resist her hunger any longer, set down the spatula, sat at the table, and began to eat.
The apartment was well-equipped with furniture and appliances, including a dishwasher and sterilizer, making post-dinner dishwashing unnecessary.
Danielle, unafraid, held onto Gabriel, insisting he stay, and proceeded to show him each of the Disney princess dresses she wanted to try on for him.
Jessica couldn't help but interject, "Uncle Spencer came all the way from the office to have dinner, and he probably needs to return to work or go home. Danielle, you can't keep bothering him like this."
Even though the Harriman Group was nearby, it was still inconvenient, especially late at night.
That was Jessica's assumption.
Clearly, she was unaware of Gabriel living upstairs.
Upon hearing this, Gabriel didn't explain but allowed Danielle to lead him to the dresses.
Seeing him being led away by Danielle, Jessica felt dizzy again.
Earlier, she had searched Gabriel's name online, finding no photos or specific information, but how did the media evaluate him?
Mysterious, aloof, noble, inscrutable, exuding an aura of coolness, wherever Gabriel went, no one dared to act recklessly within tens of meters.
Glancing back in that direction, Gabriel was patiently helping Danielle choose the colors of the dresses.
Danielle took forever to try on the dresses, fidgeting and posing after putting on each one.
Ignoring them, Jessica returned to the bedroom to study her script.
Propped against the headboard, she skimmed the script and went over tomorrow's scenes before closing her eyes to embody Katrina, silently running through her lines. The script for tomorrow wasn't extensive, focusing mainly on the interactions between the heroine and the hero. After rehearsing for a while, Jessica began to relax, eventually falling asleep with the script in hand, leaning against the window.
In the adjacent room, Danielle's cheerful laughter could be heard from time to time while Jessica slept deeper and deeper. After a while, the script slipped from her hand, making a faint noise as it fell to the floor.
Gabriel entered the room, Jessica still asleep. He picked up the fallen script, placed it on the bedside table.
Before drifting into slumber, Jessica was engrossed in earnestly perusing the script, maintaining a semi-reclined position against the headboard of the bed. As she fell asleep, her head cocked to one side, her neck similarly askew, persisting in this posture throughout the night. Consequently, even if she managed to evade a stiff neck in the morning, she would undoubtedly find little solace in comfort.
Bending over, Gabriel cradled the back of her neck in the palm of his hand, while his other hand threaded through the crook of her knee, lifting her slightly before gently easing her back down into a comfortable supine position. He then casually drew the nearby blanket over her form, ensuring she remained snug beneath its comforting embrace.
In her sleep, Jessica's brows furrowed slightly at the disturbance, but as she was gently laid back down, she quickly drifted back into a deep slumber, even turning her head to bury it in the soft pillow, sleeping more soundly.
Due to Jessica's position, her loose clothing revealed a bit of her collarbone and fair skin beneath her swan-like neck.
Gabriel gazed at her for a moment, adjusting the covers and tucking her in further, watching her peaceful slumber.
His dark gaze lingered on her cheek, recalling the scene in the kitchen.
Jessica's skin from her cheek to her ear was fair and clear while in the kitchen, it had appeared overly flushed.
Nicholas's words echoed in Gabriel's mind.
"Seeing her makes your heart race, hormones surge, unable to control your desire to possess her."
Gabriel stared at the sleeping Jessica, his gaze deep as he focused on her slightly parted lips, leaning down slowly.
Perhaps the sense of invasion in Gabriel's gaze startled Jessica awake. Without opening her eyes, she instinctively tried to pull the covers up to shield her face.
Her hand was swiftly and decisively caught by Gabriel, accurately halting her attempt.
