Chapter 264 Gabriel Actually Agrees with Her

"Get to the point. Don't waste time," Nicholas didn't want to hear her rambling.

Fiona glanced at Jessica, who clearly had no intention of speaking, and then looked at Gabriel's cold, emotionless profile.

It was obvious that Jessica had been bullied, and if they didn't help her get back, not only Gabriel but even Nicholas wouldn't let it go.

Fiona, with red eyes, glared in Jessica's direction and then said, "Mr. Harriman, do you know who Jessica is? She's the daughter of Mr. Jenner from Sunroy Group and Trinity's sister, but she was kicked out of the Jenner family long ago, an illegitimate child who..."

Gabriel interrupted her coolly, "She is Jessica, not someone's daughter, and certainly not someone's sister."

Fiona was at a loss for words.

It seemed he was well aware of Jessica's situation.

Gabriel looked down at Jessica, his eyes extremely calm and steady. His voice, though gentle, carried a strong sense of authority. "If she must have a place to belong, then she will be the future Ms. Harriman."

Fiona clenched the bag in her hands tightly, her nails almost digging into her palms.

She couldn't believe the Harriman family would accept someone like Jessica, who had no status.

Just like her, the daughter of the Miller Group, even wanting to marry into the Harriman family required her elders to find an opportunity to discuss it to see if she could get a chance to go on a blind date with Nicholas.

Jessica was nothing; at most, Gabriel was just fooling around with her. No matter how much he pampered or liked her, she couldn't possibly marry into the Harriman family.

But Nicholas directly called her sister-in-law, as if Jessica's presence wasn't a secret to the Harriman family.

Fiona couldn't figure it out, but given the situation, she had no choice but to surrender in front of the two Harriman family bosses. Offending the Harriman Group would be a costly mistake.

She turned to Jessica and, after a moment, softened her voice, "Jessica, I sincerely apologize to you. Please forgive all my actions today."

Seeing that Jessica still looked at her indifferently, Fiona felt a surge of hatred but slowly bowed her head as if in a gesture of apology, saying loudly, "I'm sorry!"

Jessica finally spoke, "Ms. Miller, do you still want that Himalayan Birkin?"

Fiona looked up and met Jessica's gaze. She understood exactly what Jessica meant without needing another word.

Fiona closed her eyes in anger, suppressing her frustration. She never thought she would be trampled on by someone as lowly as Jessica.

"This bag is already yours. How could I dare to take it? To show my sincerity in apologizing, I'll pay for this Hermes Himalayan Birkin. Put it on my tab."

Jessica seemed to smile, but her voice was slow and deliberate. "We've already paid for it. Wouldn't it be too much trouble to refund and pay again?"

"It's no trouble, as long as Ms. Jenner can forgive me," Fiona said, still bowing her head to Jessica, her hand gripping the bag tightly.

"Since you insist on expressing your apology this way, it would be rude of me not to accept," Jessica said with a smile, "Then please, Ms. Miller, pay for it. Thank you."

Fiona's mouth twitched in anger. "You're welcome, as long as you forgive me."

"With your two or three hundred thousand dollars of sincerity, how could I not forgive you? Ms. Miller, you're so generous, I feel bad. We're about to have dinner, would you like to join us?"

Fiona thought she had misheard; her eyes widened in surprise. She glanced at Jessica, unable to read her thoughts, and then looked at Nicholas.

Nicholas frowned and whispered to Gabriel, who had no intention of stopping Jessica, "Why does Jessica have such an illogical idea?"

Gabriel, with one hand in his pocket, made no comment on the matter and said, "Jessica still has a cold. Choose something light for dinner."

Nicholas fell silent.

He didn't expect Gabriel to be so accommodating to Jessica!

Nicholas thought, 'Damn. Was it so great that you have a woman to pamper?'

Fiona hesitated for a few seconds before agreeing. "Alright, this counts as getting to know each other better. Since Jessica has forgiven me, let's take this opportunity to sit down and chat, and let Mr. Gabriel Harriman and Mr. Nicholas Harriman clear up any misunderstandings about me."

She said this, but Nicholas had already turned and walked away, not wanting to see her two-faced act.

Gabriel asked Jessica, "What do you want to eat?"

"I saw a Japanese restaurant across from the mall. I heard it's pretty good. Let's go there," Jessica said, then looked at Fiona and asked"What about you, Ms. Miller?"

"I'm fine with anything," Fiona said, glancing at Nicholas's back.

As she turned to follow them out, she suddenly heard the clerk at the service desk say, "Ms. Miller, we've just processed the refund for Ms. Jenner's bag and put it on your tab. Please sign the bill."

Fiona's face froze Suppressing her anger, she quickly turned to sign the bill.

Tonight, she not only lost money but also ruined her first impression in front of Nicholas from the Harriman family. She had to find a way to salvage her image at the restaurant.

But salvaging her image was easier said than done.

In reality, when Jessica entered the restaurant, she would choose a table with a partitioned window.

Men and women sat on either side of the long table, and both had to unlock the partition to dine together without being disturbed.

Fiona's ordered dishes had already been served. She tried several times, gently knocking on the partition between her and Nicholas, hoping he would open it and chat with her.

However, Nicholas's side remained unmoved, never opening.

When Fiona got up to go to the restroom, she passed by Jessica's side and saw that the partition between her and Gabriel was already open. Gabriel was moving a secretly ordered ice cream away from Jessica, signaling with his eyes that she couldn't eat cold food while sick.

From her angle, Fiona couldn't hear their conversation clearly, but she saw Gabriel serving Jessica a bowl of noodles, faintly hearing him remind her to eat light to avoid getting a fever at night.

After returning from the restroom, Fiona knocked on the partition again, but there was still no response.

Although they came to dine together, she had hoped to find an opportunity to chat, but the entire dinner was just her alone, with no appetite, constantly thinking about Nicholas on the other side of the partition.

But until the end, Nicholas never paid her any attention.

Even when they left the restaurant, she didn't know when Nicholas had finished eating and returned to the car.

Though it was a shared dinner, it was entirely and completely a solo meal.
