Jessica didn't even blush, knowing he couldn't do anything about it.
She ran her hand over his still bare arm, her voice full of mischief, "You've got a great body. Even after all these days of sleeping in caves and braving the elements with me, you still look this good."
Gabriel, though fair-skinned, didn't have the delicate complexion of a male celebrity or the look of someone who wore makeup. His skin was naturally healthy, and his obsession with cleanliness since childhood meant he was always spotless from head to toe. It was a kind of cleanliness that made people feel comfortable.
When he was injured and unconscious at her place, she hadn't ogled him like a rogue. But now, her eyes roamed over him shamelessly.
Gabriel still had a towel wrapped around his waist; otherwise, who knew where her eyes would wander.
Gabriel looked down at her, his eyes dark and intense. He bit her lip, and when Jessica winced and glared at him, he didn't let go. Instead, he kissed her deeply, his lips and tongue ravaging hers until she felt numb. When she finally struggled a bit, seeking mercy, he released her and said in a low, husky voice, "Two or three months will pass quickly. If you dare to tease me, don't blame me for keeping you up all night when the time comes."
"There's still some time left," Jessica said, lifting her chin with a mischievous smile. "I'm not afraid."
Gabriel's stern expression softened slightly as he looked at his bold and lively wife. He stared at her for a moment until Jessica heard a notification from her phone on the bed. Feeling she'd teased him enough, she tried to wriggle out from under him.
But as soon as she moved, Gabriel suddenly flipped her over, making her end up on top.
"I need to check my phone. I got a Facebook notification," Jessica pointed towards the bed.
Gabriel held her waist firmly, not needing to restrain her with his hands. As she tried to steady herself on the soft bed, she ended up collapsing onto him.
"You've got me all fired up. It's not that easy to just stop now," Gabriel said, his hand on the back of her neck, his forehead resting against hers. "Want a good night's sleep? Fine, but first, let me cool down, and then you can sleep well tonight."
Jessica looked at him in surprise. "How are you going to cool down now? We still have to go out for dinner..."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow and glanced down between them.
Jessica was speechless.
She never expected that having a private room and teasing Gabriel, who seemed easy to bully, would lead to this.
Half an hour later, when Jessica emerged from the bathroom, her hands were trembling so much she almost dropped her phone.
As they left the room, Jessica had one hand in the pocket of her tracksuit, giving it a break, while the other hand held her phone. The first thing she saw was a few messages from Elise.

Jessica wanted to say she had indeed been trying to rest, but she glanced at Gabriel, who now looked composed but had been anything but in the bathroom. She pouted slightly and silently sympathized with her right hand.
