Chapter 627 Sweet Extra - Couple Variety Show 112

Seeing that Debra had noticed, Jessica didn't say much. She just smiled quietly, reached out to take back the item, and whispered, "It's all good."

Debra, noticing Jessica's lowered voice, glanced at the others and then in the direction of the camera before turning back to ask softly, "The others don't know yet?"

Jessica continued washing as she replied, "Right, only the director's team knows for now. For the sake of the show's smooth recording, and because I don't plan to make this public so soon, it's best to keep it under wraps for a while. You know how superstitious our industry can be; it's better not to disclose anything before three months."

Debra nodded, "I get it, but this show is pretty demanding. I'm worried you might not be able to handle it after a couple more episodes. If you need anything, just let me know. I'll help you."

"Got it, thank you." Jessica respected Debra a lot, considering the significant age difference between them. To Jessica, Debra was a venerable elder. Debra was kind to everyone, often giving Jessica gentle reminders, and she was equally kind to Rachel and others.

For someone of Debra's age and experience, the minor conflicts and frictions among the younger ones seemed trivial and not worth the attention.

"Then try to eat less seafood and more fish; it's more nutritious," Debra suggested. Although she didn't force anything, she still reached over to take over Jessica's task.

Jessica couldn't refuse her and smiled, sticking her tongue out playfully at Debra, "I'll go handle something else then."

As she turned to leave, she noticed Rachel standing in the small hallway between the kitchen and the living room, seemingly waiting for her turn to go upstairs to shower. The hallway had a bright window and a small camera in the corner.

Seeing Jessica come out, Rachel, who had been waiting, suddenly stepped forward to block Jessica's path.

Jessica looked up at her.

"Ms. Jenner, what happened today was Lester's and my fault. I'm here to apologize," Rachel said, her voice soft and filled with helplessness and apology, but her eyes, facing Jessica, lacked the same emotion.

At that moment, Jessica thought that if Rachel had honed her skills, she might have done well in acting. After all, there are many roles in the entertainment industry, but true talent is rare.

Rachel's performance was for the camera behind her, not for Jessica.

If Jessica played along, Rachel's PR team could twist the show's narrative, potentially painting Jessica as a bully.

Jessica didn't mind or fear this, but she saw no reason to play along.

Jessica looked at her, "What do you mean? Why are you suddenly apologizing to me? Did something happen today?"

Rachel, seeing Jessica's calm and seemingly oblivious expression, smiled, "It's good that Ms. Jenner doesn't mind, but I still need to apologize. Lester and I were impulsive. We've been exhausted and didn't control our emotions well."
