Chapter 66 Can You Smell It Now?

As the night fell, the neon lights of Xyleria intertwined, and the city lights began to shine.

Just as Jessica entered her home, she unexpectedly bumped into a man who had recently come out of the master bedroom. He had just taken a shower and didn't expect her to come back so early in the evening. Naturally, he didn't deliberately avoid her.

Gabriel casually wiped his still dripping ink-black short hair. The water droplets slid down his face, flowing along the smooth line of his jaw, gradually disappearing downwards. Jessica was so startled that she couldn't move and stood frozen in front of the door.

During this time, to avoid the awkwardness of being alone with him, a man unfamiliar to her, he would typically take a shower when she wasn't at home, or after she and Danielle had fallen asleep, he would quickly shower in her bathroom. She had never caught him doing this before.

At first, Jessica subconsciously wanted to turn around and leave, but then she realized that this was her own home!

She stared fixedly at the man, who had stopped wiping his hair, and inexplicably felt a bit dry in her mouth.

Spencer had a good physique.

This was something Jessica had known for a while.

She had noticed it when she helped him wipe and change his bandages when he was seriously injured and unconscious for several days.

His entire body was perfectly sculpted, with smooth and symmetrical muscles. He looked stylish in clothes, but when he took them off, he had a certain level of strength. He was just the right kind of fit.

Gabriel saw that she was still standing there, unmoving, and didn't avoid her gaze either. He picked up the towel again and wiped his ink-black hair. His voice was low as he said, "Didn't you have a night scene? Why are you back so early?"

Jessica was still standing there, wanting to avert her gaze from him, but somehow she couldn't. She had never thought of herself as someone who would be attracted to someone's physique, even though this man's body was indeed very attractive.
Gabriel waited for her to speak, but he didn't hear any sound for a while.

He looked up and saw Jessica staring at him with flushed ears.

Gabriel paused, put down the towel, picked up the clothes on the back of the sofa, and glanced in her direction.

Jessica changed her shoes and walked in, her eyes wandering uncertainly. "Why did you come out of the bedroom without clothes after taking a shower?"

As she approached, she smelled the refreshing scent of body wash coming from the man. Because he had just taken a bath, the smell of disinfectant and ointment on his body had faded a lot.

"I thought you wouldn't be back at this time," Gabriel said calmly.

Now that he had put his clothes back on, Jessica looked up at him. She wanted to say that the bruises on his body had faded a lot, indicating that he had indeed recovered well. But when she met the man's calm and composed gaze, she suddenly changed the subject, "I found that the men's body wash I bought smells quite good."

Gabriel was speechless.

"What scent is it? I didn't pay attention when I bought it, I just noticed that it was on sale at the supermarket."

Gabriel put down the towel he was holding and looked at her, saying without any discernible tone or emotion, "Can't you smell it?"

"From such a distance, how can my nose be that sensitive?"

Jessica casually sat on the sofa, propping her chin with one hand. She was a bit thirsty but didn't want to drink water. She had been afraid of catching a cold on set today, so she had drunk too much hot tea at once, and now she was a bit sensitive to water.

Gabriel was originally going to return to the master bedroom, but when Jessica finished speaking, he suddenly changed direction and walked toward the sofa.

Suddenly seeing the man standing in front of her, Jessica quickly tried to hide inside the sofa, saying, "Why did you suddenly come so close?"

Gabriel lowered his gaze and glanced at her, saying casually, "Can you smell it now?"
