Chapter 603 Sweet Extra of Couple Variety Show 88
Jessica glanced at the edge of the forest and spotted a camera, figuring the cave must be that way. She followed Gabriel as they headed in that direction.
Melissa, who had watched plenty of reality shows, knew that where there were cameras, the production crew was involved. She quickly tagged along.
Before Marshall could announce the task, everyone, eager to find a place to rest, quickly located the cave. However, they were called back by the director to follow the show's process.
Once the crew set up the cameras, Marshall announced the evening's task and the rewards for finding the cave and other survival items. They had to restart the process.
Now, their acting skills were put to the test. Even though they knew where the cave was, they had to pretend they didn't and search in all directions, including for other supplies they hadn't noticed earlier.
Gabriel led Jessica into another part of the forest. Jessica looked around, "There aren't any cameras here. There probably isn't anything hidden."
She said "probably" because, although there were no fixed cameras, a cameraman was following them, so they were still being filmed.
"Mantanani Island is big, but the area the production crew is using isn't. There's just this forest and the grass and rocks around the cave," Gabriel said, glancing at her feet. "Watch your step, don't trip."
Jessica obediently followed him deeper into the forest. She spotted a waterproof box wrapped in camouflage fabric on a tree branch and almost jumped with excitement. "There it is!"
But the branch was high. Jessica ran over and jumped a couple of times but couldn't reach it. She instinctively looked around for something to stand on.
There was nothing.
"How are we supposed to get up there? We can't climb the tree, can we?" Lester and Rachel had somehow joined them. Lester clicked his tongue. "It just rained, the tree trunks are slippery. Even if you could climb, you wouldn't make it. Is the production crew trying to kill us?"
Jessica pointed to another area. "There are some rocks over there. Maybe it'll be easier to get something from there."
As soon as she finished speaking, she instinctively moved closer to Gabriel. With just a look, Gabriel raised an eyebrow and motioned for her to climb up.
Jessica smiled and jumped onto Gabriel's back, climbing up.
Gabriel's strong, muscular arms made her feel secure. She almost knelt on his back, finally reaching the edge of the box. She grabbed a corner and pulled it down.
Rachel stood there for a moment, realizing there was nothing they could do to help. She watched the couple's silent teamwork, then turned and followed Lester.
Jessica managed to pull the box down, but it almost fell to the ground.
She let out a small cry.
Gabriel looked up, one hand holding her securely on his back, the other reaching up. He lifted a leg to cushion the box's fall, kicking it gently onto a patch of grass.
Jessica quickly jumped off his back, ran over, and opened the box. Her face lit up with joy.
