Chapter 105 Call Her Darling
When this name rang clearly in her ears again, Jessica felt a warm surge rush through her heart.
Over the years, she had put in too much effort just to hear him say "Mrs. Walton."
Just when she thought there was no chance left and felt desperate, he gave her the best answer.
"I really like it."
Jessica nodded, looking at Gabriel with a firm gaze.
"Thank you, Gabriel. Thank you for the gift."
Gabriel frowned slightly, slightly displeased. "You called me Gabriel?"
"Gaby." Jessica changed the address.
Gabriel still wasn't very happy.
Actually, Jessica had guessed what address he wanted to hear, but she really couldn't say it.
They had been married for so long, and although she had been looking forward to calling him that from the beginning, she always felt embarrassed and couldn't bring herself to say it.
And now it’s a good opportunity.
The atmosphere and environment were just right.
Did she want to call him that?
In fact, Jessica was conflicted.
Her hands fidgeted aimlessly. Her heart was pounding, and she was indecisive.
Gabriel knew she was hesitating, and he also knew that all he could do was give her time and space to think carefully rather than forcing her.
However, time passed, second by second.
Just when Gabriel had given up on this opportunity, suddenly, Jessica looked up, gazing at him tenderly, and said, "Thank you, darling."
Upon hearing this, Gabriel felt a rush of joy filling his entire chest, as if spring had blossomed everywhere. He was now full of vitality and energy, because waiting for her to call him like this was too long.
"I didn't hear clearly."
However, Gabriel deliberately said so.
Jessica felt that Gabriel was sometimes like a big gray wolf, always playing mind games with her.
"Darling."
This time, Jessica raised her voice.
After calling out, her whole face turned red. If she could see herself in the mirror, she would definitely be blushing furiously.
Fortunately, she couldn't see herself, or she would really be too embarrassed.
“It's very clear. I heard it."
After saying this, Gabriel walked toward Jessica.
He placed his hand on Jessica's shoulder, then bent down and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Darling, you look so lovely today!"
"I have to go to work, wait for me at home."
After speaking, Gabriel left first.
In the spacious room, Jessica stood there dazed.
He also called her "darling"?
He said she was lovely?
He actually called her like that and even praised her for being lovely?
Were all these words from his heart?
Jessica reached out, shyly cupping her face. She realized that her face was really hot-almost too hot to touch.
Not long after Gabriel left, Jessica received a call from Jonah.
"Jessica, are you free today? I have something to tell you."
"Dad, then I'll come back to the Ancestral Manor to see you."
"Okay, I've arranged for someone to pick you up. You come by car."
"Okay, Dad."
After hanging up the phone, for some reason, Jessica felt a bit uneasy.
Why did Jonah suddenly want to see her? He had already booked a car, suggesting that he had prepared everything beforehand.
After getting in the car, Jessica headed straight to the Ancestral Manor.
Seeing Danielle at home, Jessica felt even more surprised.
Over the years, as far as she knew, except for some important matters, Jonah and Danielle rarely appeared together, let alone stayed in the same place at the same time.
And now that they both appeared at the same time, it probably wasn’t a simple matter.
"Mom." Jessica sweetly called out when she saw Danielle.
"Go upstairs. Your dad is waiting for you in the Study Room Lane."
"Okay."
Standing outside Study Room Lane, Jessica felt extremely nervous.
Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door.
Soon, a deep and powerful voice came from inside " Jessica, come in."
Pushing open the door, Study Room Lane was filled with the fragrance of books.
Jessica walked in somewhat awkwardly. "Dad, did you want to see me for something?"
"Jessica, sit down. Let's talk." Jonah pointed to the sofa opposite him.
After Jessica sat down, Jonah spoke first "How has Gabriel been treating you lately?"
"He's been treating me well." Thinking about their interactions in recent days, Jessica felt a glimmer of hope reignite.
"Jessica, we are definitely on your side, so don't be afraid. If he mistreats you, just tell us."
"Dad, he really hasn't." Regardless of the true intimacy between her and Gabriel, she had never thought of speaking ill of him in front of his family.
Jonah sighed, looking at Jessica full of pity. "You're too naive. Do you think we don't know what he's been up to lately?"
"But you always defend him and speak up for him."
Jessica lowered her head, remaining silent.
Yes, she loved him, and she always couldn't help but defend him.
"Dad, I know you and Mom care about me. I'm sorry for making you worry."
"Grandpa is right. You're just too kind-hearted, so you've always indulged him. We all knew about what he did for Diana's birthday recently. Rest assured, your mom has sent her away. She won't disturb your life."
So Diana had been sent away. No wonder she had been more restrained recently.
Jessica also thought of the phone call Diana made to Gabriel, probably asking him to pick her up.
Now it seemed that Gabriel hadn't gone to get her.
At this point, Jonah took out an envelope from the drawer and handed it to Jessica. "Take a look."
Jessica originally thought it was something Xavier had left for her, so she opened it quickly.
However, when she saw the photos inside, her eyes widened, and she couldn't speak for a long time.
"Dad, is this all real? Is Diana really the person in these photos?"
Jessica stared at the person in the photos, almost unable to believe it.
Although she knew that Diana wasn't as clean and pure as she imagined, she never expected Diana to be so open-minded abroad.
The photos showed Diana with other men, some hugging, some showing tattoos, some kissing intimately, and even some explicit photos.
In short, the photos were almost unbearable to look at.
"I've verified that the people in these photos are indeed Diana."
Jonah put away the photos and then handed the envelope to Jessica. "Now, I'm handing over all of this over to you, including the handling of the photos. Jessica, whatever you decide to do, we will support you unconditionally."
"Hand it over to me?"
"Yes, to you. If one day your marriage really can't be saved, I believe this will be your last trump card," Jonah said.
