Chapter 339 If You Can't Have It, Destroy It
After wrapping up the call, Gabriel headed towards the car. When he noticed the phone in Jessica's hand, he freaked out for a second. But he quickly pulled himself together.
"I found this phone. It slipped out of your pocket. Got anything to say?" Jessica asked, trying to keep her cool.
"Yeah, Jessica, I did hide the phone." Gabriel knew there was no point in lying anymore.
"Why?" Jessica pushed.
He reached out and pulled her into a hug. Holding her tight, he started to explain. "Jessica, I was planning to give you a short vacation, but now that you've found the phone, I can't keep it from you anymore. I'd rather you hear it from me than find out online."
Seeing his serious face, Jessica felt a wave of anxiety. "What is it? Why are you so tense?" she asked, her voice shaking.
"Jessica," Gabriel's voice dropped, "Jack, he..."
Clenching his fists, he forced himself to continue, "He leaked the hotel video, and it's blowing up online. A lot of people have seen it."
For a few seconds, Jessica's mind went blank. She just stood there, stunned and unable to process anything, feeling frozen in place. After a long pause, she finally managed to speak, her voice dry, "So, you took my phone because you didn't want me to see the videos online?"
"Yes." Gabriel held her, his face full of pain and guilt. "I'm sorry, Jessica. I couldn't protect you."
"It's not your fault. If Jack wanted to expose me, he would've found a way no matter what," Jessica said, her voice tinged with resignation. "But what do I do now? How can I explain that the person in the video isn't me?"
As she thought about the video, a memory flashed in her mind: the girl in the video had a mole. Suddenly, a glimmer of hope sparked within her. She grabbed Gabriel's hand tightly. "I can prove it. I don't have a mole on my body, so the woman in the video isn't me."
Her eyes lit up with determination. "I can take pictures and videos to show everyone. They won't misunderstand me anymore."
Gabriel held her tightly, his heart aching. "Jessica, calm down. Jack had someone edit the video to remove any flaws."
"What do you mean?" Jessica's voice was hoarse.
After a long silence, she looked up, tears streaming down her face. "So, I just have to watch him ruin my reputation?"
Gabriel shook his head firmly. "Of course not, Jessica. Trust me, I'll handle this and clear your name."
"Will people still believe me?" At this moment, even Jessica was unsure. She knew how powerful and damaging rumors could be.
Gabriel gently stroked her hair, trying to comfort her. "Trust me, I can fix this."
Jessica lowered her eyes and nodded.
"Take a break for a few days. I'll have Tina go with you to the resort, okay?" Gabriel asked gently.
She touched her belly, thinking of the baby inside, and nodded. "Okay."
Even though she was feeling awful, Jessica had to think about the baby instead of herself. This time, she was determined to protect the baby.
By the time they got to the resort, it was already evening. Night had fallen.
Gabriel stayed with Jessica for dinner and, after she finished her bath, he personally dried her hair. It wasn't until she was asleep that he got up and quietly left the room.
Outside, Tina was waiting.
"Is Jessica asleep?" she asked in a low voice when she saw Gabriel come out.
Gabriel nodded. "Yeah, but she hasn't been sleeping well lately, always waking up in the middle of the night. Please take care of her these days, and let me know if anything happens."
He paused, his eyes reflecting a mix of worry and determination. "And try to keep her away from the news online," Gabriel added.
"Got it, I will."
Under the cover of night, Gabriel took a car back to the company. The entire Walton Group building was lit up like it was daytime, with almost everyone working overtime.
The reason was simple: Jack's video exposure, especially his revelation about his and Jessica's identities, was a bombshell.
In the video, he was dressed formally, wearing a tie, and appeared in person. He not only exposed the twenty-year affair between Jonah and Patricia but also revealed that he was the illegitimate son of the Walton family. The high society circles were instantly shocked.
Following that, he exposed Gabriel and Jessica's marriage and divorce, then released the video of him and Jessica together.
Almost the entire trending list was filled with topics about them:

Following these revelations, the Walton Group's stock plummeted. Overnight, it almost dropped to its historic lowest point. More importantly, the Walton Group's stock was still plummeting at this moment.
"Jack, what exactly do you want? Do you want the Walton Group to go bankrupt?" Jonah shouted, his face contorted with anger.
In the office, Jonah slapped Jack across the face. Jack's rigid back remained straight; he hardly moved, standing like a statue.
Just then, Patricia rushed in. Seeing the situation, she immediately hugged Jack, asking worriedly, "Jack, are you okay? Does it hurt?"
Jack pushed her hand away. "I'm fine."
He then turned to Jonah, his eyes cold and unwavering. "Are you done? If so, leave my office immediately. You're not welcome here."
"You bastard, do you have any idea what you're doing? It's not just the Walton family, but also the lifelong efforts of your grandpa and me. How can you be so cold-blooded?"
"Cold-blooded?" Jack's icy eyes shot towards him. "When they were dealing with me and my mother, did they ever show any mercy? They deserve this, don't blame me."
Jonah, furious, raised his hand again, but Patricia immediately grabbed his arm.
She pleaded bitterly, "Jonah, calm down, please calm down. Jack is also your son, you can't be so unfair to him!"
