Chapter 227 Don't move, let me hold you tight.
Gabriel confessed, "Diana, I admit, if your legs healed, I'd feel less guilty."
He said sternly, "But that doesn't change anything with Jessica. No matter what, I'm staying with her. I won't leave her because of guilt or your demands."
He added, "I've told you, I love her."
Diana's eyes filled with tears. She said, "Gabriel, you're so heartless."
Diana remarked, "I'm in this state; can't you say something nice to comfort me? Even if it's a lie?"
"Maybe I'd believe it and agree?" she added.
Gabriel looked serious. He apologized, "I'm sorry, I can't lie to you or myself."
He said earnestly, "Think about the treatment for your leg. I talked to Professor Thomas. He's interested in your case, and his team has advanced methods."
Gabriel said, "It's your decision. If you refuse, I respect that."
Gabriel turned to leave.
Seeing him go, Diana panicked.
"Gabriel," she called out. "Okay, I'll agree to the treatment, but you have to visit me."
"What is the condition?" Gabriel asked as he frowned.
"Visit me three times a week," Diana said.
After a pause, he replied, "Once, that's all I can do."
"Twice," Diana bargained.
"Once," Gabriel said firmly.
Seeing he wouldn't budge, Diana reluctantly agreed. "Fine."
The next morning, Gabriel arranged for Diana to go to the hospital.
Before boarding, Diana waited for Gabriel.
But he didn't show up.
"Where's Gabriel? Why hasn't he come?" she asked.
The assistant explained, "Ms. Bush, Mr. Walton boarded a plane two hours ago. You're not on the same flight."
Diana was furious.
Gabriel did it on purpose.
He was eager to see Jessica.
Diana vowed to herself, "Jessica, now that I'm back, I won't leave easily."
After a day on the plane, Gabriel landed around eight or nine in the evening.
By the time he got to Jessica's place, it was already nine or ten that night.
When he opened the door, it was dark inside.
She must be asleep.
Thinking about seeing her, Gabriel felt nervous and excited.
To avoid waking her, he took his pajamas, showered, changed, and quietly walked to the bedroom, gently pushing the door open.
The bedroom was very quiet.
The curtains were drawn, but the wall lamp gave off a faint glow, so it wasn't too dark.
Moving quietly, Gabriel lifted the blanket and lay down beside Jessica.
In the dim light, he could see her peaceful face, eyes closed, exuding tranquility and gentleness.
Not wanting to wake her, he leaned down and kissed her forehead. He said softy, "Jessica, I'm back. Good night."
But as soon as he lay down, a long leg draped over him, pressing down on his body.
Gabriel froze, not daring to move, even his breathing became cautious.
Despite his efforts, Jessica woke up.
Feeling something weird, she groggily started to wake up.
She sensed someone beside her and caught a familiar scent.
Gabriel?
Is it him? Has he returned?
But he said he needed two more days.
How did he suddenly come back, and why is he lying beside her?
Jessica felt dizzy but tried to calm down.
She thought she might be dreaming because she missed him so much.
She reached out, cautiously feeling forward.
When she touched the warmth and smelled the familiar scent, she couldn't doubt it anymore.
She opened her eyes and saw Gabriel right next to her.
Seeing his familiar face, she could hardly believe it.
Jessica cupped his face, gently asking, "Gabriel, is it you? Am I dreaming?"
Gabriel chuckled softly. He replied, "It's me, I'm back."
"Who else dares to sleep in your bed, besides me?" he continued.
"But why does it feel so unbelievable? It's so sudden, I haven't even processed it," Jessica said, still touching his face.
Gabriel pulled her hand down, holding it tightly.
"It's me, the real me," he said seriously.
Jessica said as she pretended to be angry, "You rascal, you're finally back. Do you know I've been waiting for you all these days?"
She chided, "I'm warning you, no more business trips this month. If you leave me alone again, I won't talk to you anymore."
Jessica finally let out all her grievances.
Gabriel listened, feeling incredibly heartbroken.
It's his fault. He didn't have time to be with his girlfriend.
He reached out, hugged Jessica tightly, and buried his face in her neck, breathing in her scent.
Gabriel requested, "Don't move, let me hug you properly."
He said softly, "Jessica, I've missed you so much."
His soft, sexy voice whispered in her ear, like a feather brushing against her ear, so soft, so comforting.
Jessica wished she could drown in his tenderness.
She was no longer sleepy.
More importantly, her body sensed something unusual.
She wasn't totally innocent, she had little experience.
At this moment, she knew his body was aroused.
