Chapter 217 Fool, the man I've loved for ten years is you!

Gabriel answered, "It doesn't hurt anymore. I'm fine now, really."

Seeing Jessica still frowning, Gabriel reassured her, "Jessica, seriously, it doesn't hurt. If you don't believe me, I can move to show you."

As he spoke, Gabriel tried to move his arm.

But before he could lift it, Jessica grabbed it, saying, "Okay, I believe you."

Gabriel immediately cupped her face and kissed her, then asked, "Now are you relieved?"

She quickly replied, "Yes!"

Jessica's hand gently stroked the scar on his back as she advised, "But you have to take care of yourself from now on. You can't get hurt again. Do you know how much it pains me to see you hurt?"

Suddenly, Gabriel thought of that person.

Without thinking, he asked, "Compared to that person? Does it hurt more?"

Jessica wondered, 'That person?'

Jessica was stunned, completely confused.

She asked herself, 'Which person?'

Jessica asked, "Who are you talking about?"

Gabriel awkwardly replied, "The guy you said you had a crush on for ten years, the one you liked for ten years."

Hearing this, Jessica was momentarily taken aback.

Then she immediately understood.

She pursed her lips, a bright smile forming at the corners of her mouth.

Gabriel, this silly guy.

He still didn't know that "that person" was himself.

The first time on the playground, she wanted to tell him, but he didn't listen.

The second time in the bathroom, she had said it while leaning on the bathtub, but he left the bathroom and didn't hear it.

As for the third time, she seemed to have only said she liked him.

She hadn't mentioned that he was the one she had loved for ten years, so he didn't know and kept misunderstanding he the whole time.

Fine, since he didn't know, she would let him be jealous on purpose. After all, he used to make her sad and upset all the time.

Jessica huffed, "Hmph..."

This time, she would take it easy and let him worry for once.

Seeing Jessica's smile, Gabriel felt even more stifled.

He shouldn't be too concerned because she loved him now and was with him. He should be satisfied.

Moreover, when she liked someone else and had a crush on someone else, he wasn't around. How could he blame her?

But after falling in love with her, he became possessive and petty.

He cared.

He cared a lot.

Jessica propped her chin with one hand, her clear eyes looking at Gabriel, sparkling like stars, bright and dazzling.

Her lips always carried a faint smile, making her look charming and captivating.

All the questions Gabriel wanted to ask were stuck in his throat.

It seemed like he didn't need to ask anymore.

Her behavior had already explained everything.

Finally, Gabriel, filled with jealousy, spoke, "If you care so much about that person, why do you like me and come to me?"

Gabriel claimed, "Jessica, I'm giving you a chance now. I won't stop you. You can go look for him."

Jessica just smiled.

In her heart, happiness had already bubbled up.

She felt as if she had eaten honey, her heart filled with sweetness.

But on the surface, she held back and deliberately didn't speak.

Gabriel turned his back. He didn't want to look at her now. He needed some time alone.

This must be what it feels like to go from heaven to hell.

Just a moment ago, she was so worried about him, and he was overjoyed.

But the happier he was a moment ago, the more miserable he felt now.

Jessica didn't leave. She just quietly watched as Gabriel sulked.

After turning around, Gabriel regretted it.

He just wanted to test her reaction and have her comfort him.

He would never let her leave.

He couldn't bear it!

And he had already prepared himself mentally. As long as she comforted him, he wouldn't mind it and would continue to be with her, never mentioning that man who ruined his mood ever again.

However, he miscalculated.

She didn't even call out to him, let alone comfort him.

In the end, Gabriel couldn't hold on any longer.

He deliberately touched his wound and let out a muffled groan.

Sure enough, hearing him in pain, Jessica immediately softened. She got up, poured a glass of water, and handed it to him, offering, "Want some hot water?"

"I don't want it," Gabriel said arrogantly, turning his head away.

Jessica remained silent.

She held the glass, tapping it lightly with her fingers, and asked again, "Really?"

How could she not know that Gabriel was sulking!

Gabriel, ultimately, had no backbone. He took the glass, drank a few sips, and then handed it back to Jessica, and grumbled, "If you care so much about that person, why don't you go get him?"

"How do you know I haven't?" Jessica replied.

Hearing this, Gabriel felt a lump in his throat.

Why did he ask?

He shouldn't have asked.

She had actually gone to look for the man she had a crush on. Just thinking about it made him uncontrollably angry, and the anger made his chest hurt again.

But this time, he was no longer as tolerant as before.

He reached out and pulled Jessica into his arms, then declared, "I don't care. Since you've already looked for him and didn't get back together, and since you love me now; I won't let go. I won't give you to him."

Gabriel warned, "If he dares to come after you again, I won't let him off."

Jessica smiled, asking, "Oh? How won't you let him off?"

Gabriel said arrogantly, "That's between us men. We'll handle it in a man's way."

"And I remember you said he's been married and remarried, so in terms of market value and financial strength, he can't compare to me," Gabriel said.

Jessica held back a laugh, suddenly finding Gabriel incredibly adorable.

His look was just too cute!

Jessica teased, "Gabriel, he hasn't remarried, and didn't you also get divorced? You make it sound like I'm shopping."

Gabriel remarked confidently, "Well, think of it as shopping. I'm a good deal, so you should choose me. Besides, how can he compare to me? My first and second marriages will only be with you."

Jessica reached out and couldn't help but pinch Gabriel's cheek as she asked, "Since when did Mr. Walton become so shameless?"

Gabriel said nonchalantly, "Always shameless with you."

"So, do you really hate him?" Jessica asked again.

Gabriel replied, "Of course I hate him."

Jessica added, "And you don't like him?"

Gabriel shook his head as he answered, "No."

"Okay." Jessica nodded, then looked at him seriously and said, "I don't like him either because he's too stupid. After all this time, he still doesn't know that person is himself. He's jealous of himself, so stupid, not cute at all."

Wait a minute.

Gabriel's brain was working fast.

Jealous of himself?

Jessica meant that person was himself.

Gabriel was so excited he could hardly believe it. So, that person wasn't someone else; it was actually him?
