Chapter 468 Introducing Vincent to Tina
Jessica thought and replied, "No need, just have the driver bring them over after class. I'll meet them at the entrance."
"If you come, I'm worried you and Vincent might have a conflict. He might not be too eager to see you."
Gabriel nodded. "That's true."
The next day at work, Jessica originally planned to check on Vincent first.
But as soon as she arrived at the department, she was called to assist in the operating room. Even lunch was quickly finished before she went back to help.
After a series of surgeries, it was already about six o'clock by the time she came out of the operating room.
She changed her clothes and quickly took a sip of water.
She had just sat down to rest for a moment when her phone rang.
It was Freddy and Gilbert, who had already arrived at the hospital entrance.
Jessica immediately ran to the entrance to meet them.
"Mommy!" Gilbert and Freddy shouted in unison, running towards Jessica as they called out.
At that moment, Jessica felt all her fatigue disappear, and she was focused solely on Gilbert and Freddy right in front of her.
Holding them in her arms, she felt an unprecedented sense of fulfillment.
"Mommy, is this your work uniform?" Freddy asked, blinking as they took the elevator up.
"Yes, it is!"
"Mommy, you look so beautiful in this outfit." Freddy sweetly complimented.
Gilbert added, "Not only beautiful, but Mommy is also an angel in white, saving lives and helping the injured. It's great."
Listening to Gilbert and Freddy's compliments, Jessica felt very proud.
"By the way, Mommy, why did you bring us to the hospital?"
Just before reaching the ward, Jessica stopped and seriously answered the question, "Freddy, Gilbert, I brought you here because Mr. Lucas is sick. Mr. Lucas has always taken good care of you, so we're here to visit him and keep him company, okay?"
"Is Mr. Lucas's illness serious? Does he need surgery?" Gilbert immediately got to the point.
"It's a bit serious, but he's much better now. When you see Mr. Lucas, you need to be well-behaved."
"Okay, Mommy, don't worry!"
At the door of the ward, Jessica reached out and knocked.
"Come in."
Vincent thought it was just a routine check or a nurse coming in.
So he didn't pay much attention and continued reading his book.
As the door creaked open, suddenly, two soft and familiar voices came from behind.
"Mr. Lucas!"
"Mr. Lucas!"
Gilbert and Freddy called out one after the other.
Hearing the voices, Vincent almost immediately put down his book and turned around excitedly.
When he saw Freddy and Gilbert, and finally his gaze landed on Jessica's face, a slow smile crept across his serious face. " Why didn't you tell me in advance?"
"I should have come to see you earlier, but I got delayed. I hope you don't mind," Jessica said with a gentle smile.
"How could I mind? I'm just happy you came."
The last time at the mall, when he left, he even thought he wouldn't see Jessica for a long time.
But thinking about it carefully, if it weren't for his illness and being sent to this hospital, he might not have seen Jessica again.
He did have some selfish motives.
There were several hospitals at the same distance.
But he firmly chose this one, not only because the medical care here was better but also because she was here.
Although he wasn't sure if he would run into Jessica.
He thought, at least being in the same hospital, maybe he would see Jessica!
But these thoughts, he kept to himself.
They were no longer suitable to be mentioned to anyone.
"How's the wound healing? How do you feel?" Jessica asked.
"The wound is healing well, don't worry."
"And you? How have you been lately?" However, after asking this, Vincent realized he was being redundant.
This time, her face looked much brighter than the last time, her complexion was better, and she looked even more charming.
There was no need to ask, everything about her showed that she was doing well.
Indeed, now that they've gotten back together, Gabriel must be treating her very well.
Before Jessica could speak, Freddy walked over and gently tugged on Vincent's clothes.
Vincent squatted down. "Freddy, do you have something to tell me?"
Freddy leaned in, covering his mouth with his hand, and whispered, "Mr. Lucas, I have a secret to tell you. Daddy said he wants Mommy to give us a baby girl. Gilbert and I are very happy."
Although Vincent tried hard to suppress it, there was still a pang of pain in his heart.
Quickly, Vincent masked his emotions and then smiled, ruffling Freddy's hair. "That's great, I'm happy for you."
"Mr. Lucas, you can't fall behind. You have to work hard too!" Freddy encouraged.
At this moment, Tina knocked on the ward door and walked in.
"What are you all talking about? You seem so happy!"
Seeing Tina, Gilbert, and Freddy immediately ran over from Vincent's side and held her hand.
They both spoke in their soft voices, "Ms. Ingram, you look so beautiful today!"
"Gilbert, Freddy, how do you talk like that? Be honest, are you tricking me?"
Gilbert immediately shook his head. "Mommy said we shouldn't lie. We only tell the truth."
Tina laughed and then looked at Vincent. "How are you today? Have you been applying your medication on time?"
"Yes, always following the doctor's orders."
Vincent was sitting in a chair with a book on his lap, the sunlight falling on the contours of his side profile, making him look exceptionally elegant and refined.
And Tina stood beside him, her face adorned with a gentle smile, her lips curved in a soft and beautiful arc, like a graceful debutante.
Vincent and Tina looked so beautiful in the sunset that made one sigh.
Jessica looked at Vincent and Tina and thought they were a perfect match.
Recalling Gabriel's suggestion to introduce Tina to Vincent, her heart suddenly stirred. Looking at them now, they indeed seemed like a perfect match.
Originally, she didn't think much of it.
But now, it seemed Vincent and Tina might become a couple.
Reaching out, Jessica gently pulled Tina aside and quietly spoke, "Tina, since I've been back for a while, I have a personal question to ask you. And it's fine if you don't want to answer."
"It's fine, Jessica, go ahead and ask!"
"I want to ask, if there's someone with a good appearance, personality, and profession introduced to you as a boyfriend, would you consider it?"
Tina shook her head. "No, Jessica, but thank you for your kindness."
Jessica looked at Vincent and felt a bit of pity.
"Then it seems Vincent doesn't have the luck to have such a good girl like you."
Tina was suddenly stunned, and after a while, she reacted, "Jessica, are you saying that person is Vincent?"
