Chapter 741 The Most Beautiful is You 2
As the two went down and exited the elevator, Quentin handed the card to the young man from earlier.
Grace thought of a question suddenly, "By the way, you said the grand opening is in a week, so how did we get in today? Did you use some connections?"
"Ms. Morgan," Quentin looked at her and explained seriously, "This is an investment by the Taft Group. I'm the owner, what do you think?"
So that was how it was.
Having money was great; it provided so much power. One could invest anywhere and be the boss everywhere.
"I'll be a boss too when I make money."
"Isn't being my wife good enough?" He squeezed her hand tightly.
"It's different. It's more fulfilling and gives a greater sense of achievement when you earn it yourself."
"Alright, whatever you like, it's up to you."
They got home, and it was already very late.
After taking a shower, they fell asleep holding each other.
They had no idea that the entire Instagram was buzzing the next day.
When Grace woke up, the spot next to her was already empty.
Quentin had mentioned that the group had an early meeting today, so he had to leave early.
While having breakfast, she took out her phone and opened Instagram.
The first post she saw shocked her.
She clicked on it and saw that it was a picture of her and Quentin kissing at the observation deck yesterday.
And the photography skills were amazing, the angle was perfect.
Without thinking much, she quickly downloaded the highest resolution picture she could find.
Then she zoomed in and examined it carefully.
She was relieved to see that only their side profiles were visible, and her face was mostly obscured by Quentin's tall figure, making it unrecognizable.
Thank goodness.
But she wasn't completely at ease and called Linda.
"Linda, um..."
Hearing Grace's hesitant tone, Linda said bluntly, "What's up? This isn't like you!"
"I just wanted to ask if you've seen today's trending topic?"
"What trending topic?"
"The one with a couple kissing at the observation deck!"
Grace tried to keep her voice steady.
"Not yet, let me check."
After looking, Linda remained calm.
"Linda, can you make out the faces of the people in the picture?"
"From such a distance? I heard that the observation deck is 100 stories high, it's impossible to see clearly, just a blurry outline."
"Yes, I think so too."
Grace sighed in relief.
But then Linda realized something was off.
"Wait, Grace, since when do you care about these trivial trending topics?"
"Just some strangers, not worth..."
Halfway through her sentence, Linda had a sudden realization. She quickly opened the picture and zoomed in.
Sure enough, she had overlooked something.
The faces were unrecognizable.
But that light tan trench coat was one Linda had personally bought for Grace.
And Grace's figure was unmistakable to Linda.
"Grace!" Linda exclaimed excitedly, "I knew something was up with you this morning. Are you telling me that the people in the picture are you and Mr. Taft?"
"No wonder they look so much like you!"
Grace was helpless.
Being too familiar wasn't always good; it was hard to hide anything.
"Linda, you're wrong, it's not 'like'."
Hearing her denial, Linda started to relax, but before she could fully exhale, Grace continued, "It is us!"
Linda was silent, stunned.
But then, realizing the truth, Linda shouted, "Wow, Grace, that's amazing, it's so romantic!"
"Who would've thought Mr. Taft, who seems so cold and domineering, could be so romantic in private?"
"Alright, I support you two as a couple."
Just after talking to Linda, Jessica's call came in.
Grace answered immediately, "Hello, Jessica!"
"Looks like you two are getting married soon!"
Jessica's tone was cheerful, genuinely happy for Grace.
"You recognized me, too?"
"Of course not, it's too high up, just a blurry shadow."
"Then how did you know?"
Jessica laughed and explained, "Gabriel mentioned that the observation deck officially opens in a week. Quentin is the owner, so he has the privilege to go up before it opens. Plus, who else would be on the 100th floor?"
"Jessica, does that mean people online might figure out it's me and Quentin, too?"
"Don't worry, news about Quentin isn't something people dare to dig into easily."
"Okay, then I'm relieved."
Assured that their identities wouldn't be exposed, Grace started acting like a regular netizen.
She leisurely ate her breakfast while scrolling through the comments.
[Wow, what a perfect love story, so romantic!]
[Even though it's just their side profiles, it's beautiful.]
[I declare this the most loving couple of the year, no contest.]
She was enjoying the comments when Quentin called.
"Quentin, are you done with your meeting?"
"Not yet," he replied, "Willie just told me about the trending topic. Don't worry, I've already asked him to handle it."
"Let's not handle it for now," Grace said.
"Not worried anymore?" he asked.
"I read the comments, everyone is just saying how happy we look, thinking we're just a regular couple. No one is trying to figure out our identities."
Quentin raised an eyebrow, intrigued, "Oh, what kind of comments?"
"I'll screenshot them and send them to you!" She replied.
"Alright, I'll check them after the meeting."
"Okay, go back to work then."
With the task of sending screenshots to Quentin, Grace became even more diligent in reading the comments.
Meanwhile, on the other side.
"Ms. Stewart, here's your coffee," the servant said as she handed it over.
But she accidentally spilled some coffee from the cup.
Caroline's eyes widened as she looked at her, "What are you doing? You can't even serve a cup of coffee properly, spilling it on my hand. Are you trying to burn me?"
The servant bit her lip in grievance, "Ms. Stewart, I only spilled a few drops on the carpet."
Caroline was already in a bad mood.
Hearing her explanation only made her angrier, "How dare you argue? Luckily, it was just a few drops. What, do you want to spill the whole cup on my hand?"
"What's the point of keeping you around?"
James had just come downstairs and saw the scene.
"Go make another identical cup of coffee for Caroline, and be quick about it."
Then he walked over to Caroline, "Why are you so angry this early in the morning? Who upset you?"
Caroline threw the tablet in her hand to James, "Dad, look for yourself, how can I not be angry?"
"It's just a picture, what's there to be angry about?"
"Dad," Caroline stomped her foot in frustration, "Look closely, the people in the picture are Quentin and Grace."
