Chapter 337 As Expected, an Accident Occurred

Jessica replied coolly, "Alright, see you."

"Can I get a hug? You know, as a goodbye," Jack suddenly asked.

Jessica, always the practical one, shot him down without hesitation, "I don't think so."

Jack gave a bitter smile, looking at her. "Honestly, if it weren't for all this mess, I would've really wanted to date you properly. But now, no matter what I do, you probably won't believe me anymore."

"You'll find the right girl."

"Hope so."

After Jack left, Jessica felt a huge weight lift off her shoulders. No matter what, it was definitely good news that he was taking Patricia away. But as long as Patricia was still around, Jessica couldn't relax. Patricia's intentions were crystal clear. Would she really leave willingly?

Jessica's fears came true overnight when Patricia's video went viral online. To make things worse, all of Jessica's personal info got leaked. Her name, address, and affair were all out in the open.

For a while, Patricia was getting slammed by everyone online. Her Instagram was flooded with hate comments.

When Jessica heard the news, she had a bad feeling. Sure enough, Jack stormed into her office before noon, cornering her. His eyes were bloodshot, staring at her like he wanted to tear her apart.

"Jessica, I trusted you. You wanted an apology, I brought my mom to apologize to you. I even promised to take her away. Why won't you let us go?" Jack demanded. "Go ask Gabriel and his mom, how far do they want to push us? Do they really want to drive us to death?"

Jessica's mind was spinning. But one thing was clear: they didn't post Patricia's video online. It wouldn't be Gabriel, and it wouldn't be Danielle. They had already agreed they wouldn't stoop so low or break their word.

"Jack, calm down. They didn't post the video," Jessica said firmly.

Jack laughed coldly, staring at her mockingly. "Not them? They're the only ones with the video. If not them, then who? Or are you saying the video just magically appeared online?"

"Jessica, I gave them a chance. I even thought about backing down. Seems like they don't appreciate it, so don't blame me for being ruthless." Jack warned, his voice dripping with menace. "We'll see what happens next."

Just then, his phone started ringing incessantly. He answered it, and within moments, his face went pale. "Call an ambulance, call an ambulance right now. I'll be back soon. You have to take care of my mom."

Jessica heard him shouting and giving orders over the phone. Especially the word "ambulance," which gave her a bad feeling.

Sure enough, after hanging up, Jack glared at her with pure hatred. "My mom tried to kill herself. Are you happy now? Jessica, if anything happens to her, I won't let them off."

With that, Jack stormed out, leaving Jessica in stunned silence.

'It's all over. Patricia tried to commit suicide!' Jessica thought. She knew Jack wouldn't believe her, no matter what she said, at least for now.

The feud and all the drama were just about to be resolved, and the Walton family could finally have some peace once they left. But Jessica never saw this coming. Now, there was no way Jack was leaving.

If something really happened to Patricia, she couldn't even imagine how crazy Jack might get. Jessica felt a chill run down her spine and immediately called Gabriel to fill him in.

Gabriel listened intently, then said firmly, his voice steady despite the tension, "Stay at the hospital. I'll send someone to pick you up. Don't go to work for a few days, just rest at home."

Jessica knew he was right and nodded. "Okay."

When Jack rushed home, he burst into the bedroom. The sight that greeted him was horrifying—pools of blood everywhere.

The floor was soaked, with blood streaming from the bedroom to the staircase. The room reeked of blood, making him nauseous. Water was still flowing out from the bathroom.

A servant stood nearby, trembling, "Mr. Smith, Mrs. Smith is in the bathroom. She locked the door from the inside, I can't open it."

"Move aside." With a roar, Jack kicked the bathroom door.

"Mom, open the door."

"Mom, I'm here. You have to hold on!" Jack shouted, kicking nonstop.

Finally, he used a chair to smash the door open. As soon as the door opened, the smell of blood hit him like a punch.

Jack, trembling, ran inside. The sight of Patricia in a white dress, soaked in a bathtub full of blood, broke him completely.

He held Patricia, shouting, "Mom, please, wake up! Open your eyes and look at me. I'm here!"

"Mom, hold on, please hold on. I will save you. I won't let anything happen to you." He then carried Patricia, rushing down the stairs.

The stairs were wet, and Jack was running too fast. He stumbled, causing Patricia to roll out of his arms and tumble down the stairs.

Desperate, Jack crawled to her, gathered her back into his arms, and rushed to the ambulance.

The ambulance sped towards the hospital. Patricia was rushed into the emergency room, and Jack, with bloodshot eyes, waited outside.

He couldn't tell how long it had been, but the emergency room light stayed on. Then, clear footsteps echoed down the hallway, and tall, upright Jonah appeared.

Seeing him, Jack's eyes burned with rage. "What are you doing here? You're not welcome. Get out!"

"How is your mother? I heard about what happened to her. I came as soon as I got off the plane," Jonah said, looking weary.

Jack sneered, "So, do you want me to thank you for coming to see my mother? I've never cared about being part of the Walton family, nor do I intend to compete with Gabriel."

"But this time, if anything happens to my mother, I won't let them off. Especially your wife, I won't show any mercy."

"I know you're very emotional right now and worried about your mother. I won't argue with you. But at least tell me what happened. What does your mother's suicide have to do with Danielle?" Jonah asked, confused.
