Chapter 345 Chelsea's Identity

Gabriel finally cracked a smile when he heard that.

"What's so funny?" Jessica asked, eyeing him.

"I'm just happy. Happy that my Jessica is getting jealous over me again."

Jessica shot him a playful glare. "You still haven't explained yourself!"

"You hit me with three questions at once. I need some time to answer them."

Jessica huffed and plopped down on the sofa, crossing her arms. "Fine, I'll give you time now. Answer them one by one. And if your answers don't satisfy me, today's lunch and this cake are mine."

Seeing her so serious, Gabriel straightened up too. He adjusted his suit, walked over to her, and cleared his throat.

"Ms. Morgan, to answer your first question: Her name is Chelsea Haugen. She's the daughter of the Haugen Group. Our dads were classmates, and our families lived close by when we were kids, so we hung out a lot."

"She moved abroad with her parents when she was 12, and we lost touch. She just came back a month ago."

Jessica stayed silent for a moment, then gave him a stern look. "You remember all that so clearly. Tell me, do you still have feelings for her?"

Gabriel felt a bit wronged but quickly explained, "Jessica, it's not like that. I only see her as a sister. She left right after her 12th birthday, and we were invited to her party. That's why I remember her."

Jessica reluctantly accepted his explanation.

Gabriel continued, "Second question: She's a few years younger than me. I've always treated her like a little sister, and that's all there is to it."

"Really?" Jessica raised an eyebrow. "But she seems pretty close to you, more like childhood friends than siblings."

Gabriel shook his head. "Do you know how many years it's been?"

"It better not be," Jessica said, touching her belly. "Otherwise, our child might end up not liking you."

Gabriel felt both amused and helpless. "Now, for the third question: Based on everything, I think the chance of her liking me is very low."

"Well, I think the opposite. I think Ms. Haugen likes you a lot," Jessica said.

"Why do you think that?"

"A woman's intuition and sixth sense."

Gabriel pulled Jessica into his arms to stop her from overthinking. "Even if she does, it doesn't matter. My heart is full of you and the babies. There's no room for anyone else."

Those words really hit home. Jessica felt a warm glow inside. It wasn't just sweet talk; it was better than any promise.

After lunch, Jessica planned to sit on the nearby couch and watch Gabriel work. She didn't need to talk, just being able to look at him whenever she wanted was enough.

But just as they were about to settle in, Oscar opened the door and said, "Mr. Walton, everything's ready. The meeting starts in five minutes."

Knowing he had a meeting, Jessica didn't want to be a distraction, so she offered to head home. "Alright, you go handle your meeting. I'm a bit tired and could use a nap with the babies."

Gabriel nodded, glancing at his watch. "I'll have someone take you."

"It's fine, you focus on your meeting. The driver from home brought me here."

"Okay, just let me know when you get home."

After saying goodbye to Gabriel, Jessica took the elevator down. Just as she reached the lobby, she heard a clear voice call out, "Ms. Morgan."

It wasn't familiar, but Jessica recognized it from their previous encounter in Gabriel's office. She turned around and saw Chelsea standing there with a gentle smile.

"Ms. Haugen, are you calling me?" Jessica asked.

"Why the rush? Let me buy you a cup of coffee."

"Ms. Haugen, How do you know I have the time?"

"Women understand women best. I know you must be curious and wary of me," Chelsea smiled. "Let's talk. Maybe I can answer some of your questions."

Jessica nodded. "Alright then, thanks for the treat."

There was a café next to the building. After sitting down, the waiter brought the menu.

"A latte, hot, no sugar, thank you!"

"I'll just have a glass of water, thank you!"

Neither of them looked at the menu and ordered directly.

"Ms. Morgan, just a glass of water?" Chelsea looked puzzled.

"Drinking coffee after 10 AM messes with my sleep," Jessica explained briefly.

She didn't mention the babies. She wasn't sure if Chelsea was a friend or foe, so she wouldn't reveal her cards. Even if Chelsea was a rival, she wouldn't use the babies as leverage. No need to tell Chelsea about her pregnancy.

Soon, the coffee was served, its aroma filling the air. Chelsea took a sip, then gently put down the cup with her slender fingers. Jessica couldn't help but notice the rich-girl aura Chelsea exuded in her every move.

This kind of aura and upbringing wasn't formed overnight. It was the result of long-term learning and influence. Unlike Diana, Chelsea was a true socialite.

In the past, Jessica would have felt insecure and anxious. But this time, she was very calm.

Finally, Chelsea broke the silence. "Ms. Morgan, aren't you curious about who I am? Aren't you curious about my relationship with Gabriel?"

"I am," Jessica answered honestly without hesitation. Taking a sip of water, she continued, "But Gabriel has already told me everything."

Chelsea gave a self-deprecating smile. "Looks like he's really afraid you'd misunderstand. But that's not what I want to talk about. It's something else."

"What is it?" Jessica's heart tightened, her sixth sense giving her a bad feeling.

"Do you know the crisis the Walton Group is facing now? Do you know his current situation?" Chelsea's voice was steady, but her eyes searched Jessica's face for a reaction. "To be more specific, I ended my studies early to come back, and today, it was him who invited me to the group."

Jessica felt a turmoil inside, clenching her fingers. Despite the inner chaos, she maintained a calm exterior. "So, Ms. Haugen, what exactly do you want to say?"
