Chapter 149 Go Find Jessica

Quentin showed Gabriel the photos from his social media. When Gabriel saw Jessica, it was as if he instantly sobered up.

The two of girls seemed to be at the beach, their smiles gentle and radiant.

"Send me the photo," Gabriel said.

After receiving the photo, he enlarged it with both hands, carefully examining the smile in Jessica's eyes.

The more he looked, the more he missed her.

At this moment, Quentin picked up his phone and made a video call to Grace.

Grace was having a great time with Jessica, the two of them holding hands and playing in the waves. Hearing the video call, she let go of Jessica's hand. "Jessica, wait a moment, I need to take this call."

Only when Grace answered did she realize it was Quentin calling.

That wasn't the main issue; the main issue was that Grace, with her sharp eyes, immediately noticed Gabriel next to him.

Instantly, her smile disappeared, and her tone turned cold. "What's up?"

"Not happy? Why the long face?" Quentin asked with concern.

Grace wanted to convey that she was feeling really down and super upset.

"You've got time to video call me? Not out there with your best buddy, living it up? Or is he over the moon, and you're both painting the town red?" Grace said.

Quentin immediately understood when he saw the liquor cabinet and Gabriel in the video, and quickly started to complain, "Grace, no, you have to believe me, I'm innocent."

"I don't trust you, Quentin. Birds of a feather flock together. Gabriel broke Jessica's heart. I don't want to see any of you right now. Bye."

With that, Grace hung up with a snap.

Quentin looked at his phone, feeling lost.

Then he looked at Gabriel with an upset expression. "She said, 'Birds of a feather flock together,' and she doesn't want to see any of us. You've really screwed me over!"

Gabriel shot him a sharp look and asked, "Where is Grace filming?"

"Seabrook Valley!"

Upon getting the answer, Gabriel said nothing and got up to leave.

Quentin shouted immediately, "What are you doing? Leaving?"

"Yes, going to Seabrook Valley," Gabriel replied.

Quentin's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at Gabriel. "Don't tell me you're going to see your ex-wife?"

The term "ex-wife" was particularly grating to Gabriel.

"Grace is there too. Are you going or not?" Gabriel countered.

"No," Quentin said with pride, "She said she doesn't want to see me, so why should I go?"

Gabriel withdrew his gaze and turned to leave alone.

Just as he was about to open the door and leave, Quentin suddenly got up from the couch, stretching lazily on purpose. "Oh, I've been pretty free lately. Going to Seabrook Valley for a vacation with you doesn't sound bad. Let's go, but you cover all the expenses!"

Loren laughed from the side and threw a cup at Quentin. "You sure know how to take advantage."

Quentin threw the cup back, teasingly saying, "Well, someone is eager to find Jessica. He's got the money, so I'll just tag along."

"Good luck to you guys!" Loren left first.

Gabriel and Quentin headed to the airport together.

As the night deepened, the beach became cooler, and more people gathered.

Fortunately, it was already dark, and it was hard to see faces clearly, so they didn't have to worry about being recognized and could play freely.

The waves grew larger; they were initially only reaching their ankles, but now up to their knees.

Watching the waves surge forward and feeling the coolness of the tide, Jessica suddenly grabbed Grace's hand and ran forward.

They kept running.

Finally, they reached a more open and less crowded area. Jessica stopped, cupped her hands around her mouth, and shouted, "Gabriel, I'm going to forget about you. I'll definitely move on."

She didn't want to have a crush anymore; it was too painful.

Grace joined in, putting her hand on Jessica's shoulder, shouting, "Jessica, just shout it out. We have to live our lives freely. Don't be sad. There will be many good men after Gabriel, and each one will cherish you like a treasure."

"Gabriel is nothing special. We don't care about him at all."

As she spoke, she took out her phone's photo album, pointed and introduced, "Look, I have all kinds of styles here—super fit celebrities, strong gym enthusiasts, cute and soft younger guys, mature and charming older men. Each one is charming and gentle. There's definitely one for you."

"This one, this one, and this one—super sexy, great bodies. I was obsessed with them for a while."

"And this one, Alan Jordan, my idol. He's absolutely top-notch," said Grace.

Mentioning Alan, she immediately became a fangirl, enthusiastically promoting him.

Jessica wasn't initially interested, but when she saw the sparkle in Grace's eyes, she suddenly became intrigued. "You know what? If he's not interested in me, there's no point in me obsessing over Gabriel."

Hearing this, Grace became even more enthusiastic, showing Jessica all the good stuff in her photo album.

By the end, Jessica felt overwhelmed, looking at the photos of handsome men.

There were indeed many handsome men in the world, and half of them seemed to be in Grace's phone.

But what could she do?

She suddenly felt disappointed in herself. Even after seeing so many handsome men, she still thought Gabriel was the most handsome, the most manly; she still thought he had the best body.

'Oh gosh, Jessica, you're just hopeless!'

After silently cursing herself, she suddenly realized something, stating, "Grace, doesn't Quentin get jealous when he sees your photo album?"

"Nope!" Grace replied, "We each have our own phones and never snoop on each other's. It's a mutual understanding."

"Jessica," Grace's voice softened, tinged with rare sorrow, "Actually, Quentin and I aren't in a normal love relationship. Everyone says I fancy his power, and he fancies my looks, so we hit it off. He probably sees it that way too."

"Given his family background, I know he won't marry me. There's no future for us," Grace added.

"Do you love him?" Jessica asked.

Grace looked up at the starry sky and said in a soft tone, "To me, there are many stars in my life. They blink in the night, shining brightly, looking beautiful; but only he is my sun, full of warmth, lighting up my life."

"Jessica, I don't want to hide it from you. I've found the guy for me." Suddenly, Grace said.

Jessica immediately turned around, her eyes wide with shock. "Are you saying that person is Quentin?"
