Chapter 567 Alisha and Celia's Retribution 2
"Gabriel, I'm begging you, I know I was wrong and regret it."
"Please, give us a way out. Look at my mom, she's already lost her mind. She can't even tell who she is or who I am."
"My mom was such a proud person, but she just wet her pants out of fear."
"I'm begging you, have mercy on us, spare us."
Celia knelt straight on the ground.
Her face was covered in tear stains.
She looked so pitiful.
Unfortunately, the man standing in front of her was no longer the Francis of the past.
He was Gabriel, Jessica's husband.
So, he would no longer be deceived by Celia's pitiful appearance, and he would no longer feel guilt and self-reproach.
"You're begging the wrong person," Gabriel responded coldly.
"Besides, your mom hurt someone on purpose, that's a fact. I can't do anything about it, begging me is useless."
Celia felt as if she could hear her heart crack.
Celia had already abandoned everything to beg him.
But he still wouldn't let Alisha go.
It seemed she was wrong; he wasn't Francis anymore.
"Mr. Walton, I'm seriously, solemnly calling your name, begging you to give my mom a way out."
But Gabriel just watched indifferently, his face calm without any other emotion.
He was no longer Francis.
He wouldn't be deceived by such weak performances again.
All of this was their own doing.
"I told you, I can't save you. It's not that I'm not giving you a way out, it's that you cut off your way out."
Celia bit her lip, tears falling heavily.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Walton, I was wrong."
"Please, for the sake of my mom and me taking you in from the beach, feeding you, and giving you shelter, give us a way out."
Gabriel clenched his fists, feeling even more angry.
"Nice words. If it weren't for you, I would have already returned to Jessica."
"I wouldn't have to endure the torment day and night."
At that moment, a police officer's voice came from outside the door. "Is this room 806?"
Gabriel looked at Celia. "Get up. I won't change my mind. I must seek justice for the suffering Jessica endured."
At that moment, the police walked in.
Seeing Gabriel's injuries, they immediately stepped forward to inquire.
Just as Gabriel was about to speak, Celia got up from the ground and rushed to the police. "It was me, I'm sorry, I was momentarily possessed. I stabbed him in the back."
"Why did you stab him?" the police asked.
Celia wiped the blood from her forehead and then pointed at Gabriel, speaking firmly.
"He fell in love with another woman and insisted on leaving me."
"I couldn't take it, so I hurt him."
The police turned to Gabriel. "Is that true?"
Gabriel hesitated a bit.
Finally, he nodded slightly, tacitly agreeing.
Whether it was Celia or Alisha who paid the price didn't make much difference to him.
But to Celia, this was the first time a daughter who had been protected for over twenty years used everything she had to bravely protect her mom.
Alisha had a bad temper and personality.
She was someone people truly despised.
But there was one thing no one could deny.
As a mom, Alisha gave everything for Celia, just to make Celia joyful.
This was the first time Celia did something for Alisha.
So, Celia wasn't in pain.
On the contrary, Celia felt happy and satisfied.
Before leaving, Celia looked at Theron. "Dad, I'm leaving mom to you."
"Mom has worked hard for you all her life, taking care of you. Now it's your turn to take care of her. Please don't despise her, take good care of her, okay?" Celia instructed.
Theron nodded solemnly. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of Alisha."
"Okay."
Nodding, Celia's lips curved into a faint smile.
The bright noon sunlight fell on Celia, adding a touch of warmth to that made her seem less cold and gloomy.
Facing the warm sun, Celia looked at Gabriel and mouthed, "Thank you!"
Gabriel saw the simple lip movement.
But he felt no pity or guilt.
All of this was the punishment Alisha and Celia deserved.
The reason he didn't expose Celia's last lie was because he owed them a part of his gratitude.
Once this gratitude was repaid, they would be even.
Before being taken away by the police, Celia looked at Alisha and called out, "Mom!"
But Alisha sat limply on the ground, her eyes almost vacant, with no reaction.
Celia didn't try to get her attention, she turned to the police. "Alright, let's go!"
However, just as Celia was about to leave.
Suddenly, Alisha pushed Theron away, pulled the curtain, and frantically chased after Celia.
She looked at Celia, opened her mouth wide but cried anxiously, unable to say a word.
But Celia smiled and gently responded.
"Mom, you recognized me, didn't you?"
Alisha nodded vigorously, but could only cry, unable to say a word.
"Mom, don't worry, I'm fine. I just had a breakup, feeling a bit down, and want to go out and clear my mind."
"When I feel better, I'll come back to be with you."
"At home, listen to Dad, take good care of yourself, don't make me worry, okay?"
Alisha continued to nod vigorously.
Before Celia was taken away, Alisha suddenly reached out and waved at her, her lips mouthing unclear words.
No one could understand those words.
But Celia felt like she understood.
Following the police, Celia walked down the hospital corridor in shackles.
At that moment, Cathy walked towards them.
She was originally going to do her rounds, but when she saw Celia in shackles, she immediately asked, "What's going on? What happened?"
"Celia committed intentional assault and must come with us to the police station for investigation."
