Chapter 810 Heart-Wrenching Pain 1
Mark's eyes grew darker and darker, finally resting on Grace.
Should he tell Grace?
He was hesitating.
In the moonlight, Grace curled up, crying so sadly, like a soft little kitten.
She didn't cry out loud but rested her head on his shoulder, sobbing quietly and softly.
But those sobs pierced his heart.
Grace, the person he believed most deserved happiness in this world, was in such pain at this moment.
And Mark, besides offering her a shoulder, could do nothing else.
When Grace looked up, her delicate face was covered in tears.
Her appearance made him even more heart-wrenching.
She gently wiped the tears from her face, but suddenly, when her gaze fell on the car not far away, her whole body stiffened.
Then, her frail shoulders began to tremble violently.
She didn't expect Quentin to come.
But since Quentin had already let go of their relationship, why did he come to find her and stir her heart again?
Grace quickly looked away, forcing herself not to look in that direction.
"Grace," Mark spoke up, "I think Quentin is here."
In the end, he chose to say it.
He didn't want to make decisions for Grace; he wanted her to decide for herself.
He originally thought Grace would be very surprised, but she just nodded lightly, "Yes, I saw."
"But whether he comes or not has nothing to do with me anymore."
"Or maybe he's just passing by, and we're overthinking it."
As soon as Grace finished speaking, suddenly, the car door opened suddenly, and Quentin's tall figure stepped out.
In the moonlight, he walked gracefully, exuding an air of nobility with every move.
Leaning lazily against the car, he didn't come closer, just watched Grace from afar.
At that moment, Grace looked over, too.
In the moonlight, across the distance, Quentin and Grace's eyes met.
But they looked at each other in silence, neither saying a word.
Finally, Grace turned her head to look at Mark. "Mark, can you help me put on a show?"
Mark nodded, "Grace, I'll do whatever you say."
As soon as he finished speaking, Grace gently took Mark's hand.
With a faint smile on her lips, they walked forward step by step.
The scene looked extremely ambiguous.
In the distance, Quentin's eyes were deep, his hands clenched tightly, veins bulging on the back of his hands.
He almost took a step forward, rushed over.
But at the last moment, he held himself back tightly.
If he was destined not to bring Grace happiness, he should bless her, wish her to find her happiness.
Thinking carefully, Mark was indeed a very good choice, with a handsome appearance and a well-off family.
Grace would surely not suffer with Mark.
But why did Quentin feel like his heart was being torn apart?
Grace held Mark's hand, their steps getting closer and closer to Quentin, almost passing by.
"Grace, are you really going to walk over?" Mark asked.
At that moment, Grace suddenly woke up.
She laughed at herself, quickly hiding the loneliness in her eyes.
'Grace, you fool, are you really going to walk over? Could it be that you still have fantasies about Quentin? Do you think that by holding Mark's hand and walking over, Quentin will get angry, will get jealous?" She thought she was really confused.
She wanted to use his anger and jealousy to prove that she still had a place in his heart.
Turning around, Grace held Mark's hand and walked towards a small path.
A few minutes later, she gently let go of Mark's hand.
"Mark, thank you for helping me with this act."
"But I seem to have done something very foolish."
Mark rubbed her head, looking pained. "Grace, why do you say that?"
Grace laughed at herself, "I just hoped he would rush over, pull you away, and hold me."
After saying that, she raised her head, laughing while tears fell crazily down her cheeks, "How could I have such a thought? Do you think I'm crazy?"
Grace's mental state was very bad.
So Mark insisted on taking her back.
However, neither Mark nor Grace knew that Quentin's car was quietly following them.
On the way, a strong wind suddenly blew, and thunder rumbled.
Fearing a heavy rain, Mark urged the driver to speed up.
Fortunately, it hadn't started raining when Grace got out of the car. Worried about her safety in the elevator alone, Mark said he would only be at ease if he saw her enter her home.
So Mark and Grace entered the community and took the elevator together.
Seeing this, Willie, sitting in the car, didn't dare to make a sound.
Quentin's eyes were deep, his lips pressed together, his whole aura low and cold.
At that moment, no one knew what he was thinking.
At home, Grace poured Mark a glass of water to thank him.
After drinking the water, Mark was ready to leave, but at that moment, a strong wind blew, and the clothes on the balcony were blown into the living room, rain pounding on the windows.
The heavy rain had come!
After helping Grace tidy up, Mark got up to leave.
Just as he was about to step out, he received a call from the driver, "Mr. Stoll, the car seems to have a problem."
The driver's voice was loud, so Grace heard it too.
Mark immediately turned off his phone in a fluster, saying, "Grace, you should rest well, I'll leave now."
He quickly stepped out the door, but behind him, Grace's voice suddenly called out, "Mark, wait a minute."
"What's wrong, Grace?"
"It's raining so heavily outside, and your car is broken. How are you planning to get back?"
Mark scratched his head and smiled, "It's okay, I'll just call a cab."
"It's too late, it's hard to get a cab here. If you don't mind, you can stay here for the night and leave in the morning."
Mark was suddenly stunned.
After a while, he spoke, "No, if the media catches this, it won't be good for you."
"It's okay!" Grace said, "Aren't we on a dating show right now? If we do get caught, we can just use it to boost the show's popularity."
"After the show ends, we can each issue a statement to explain."
Mark nodded, then pointed to the two rooms behind him, "Grace, which room should I sleep in?"
Grace pointed to the room on his left, "Wait a moment, I'll change the bed sheets and covers for you."
"Okay, thank you, Grace!"
When Grace came out, she saw Mark pointing his phone's camera at the door of the guest room.
