Chapter 634 Dealing with Callie
Gabriel asked nervously, "Which police station? I'll be there right away."
Gabriel hung up the phone and handed Stella to Quentin.
At the same time, he instructed, "Jessica is in some trouble. I need to go to the police station. Can you take care of Stella for me?"
Quentin looked at the soft and cuddly Stella in his arms, feeling extremely flustered.
"She's too small. I have no idea how to take care of her!"
Gabriel gave detailed instructions, "She's very well-behaved. She sleeps most of the time. When she's awake, just play with her and keep her entertained."
"In half an hour, give her some milk and change her diaper. It's very simple."
With that, he grabbed his phone and quickly left.
Quentin was helpless.
He looked at the adorable, soft, and rosy-cheeked Stella in the swaddle, feeling completely at a loss.
At that moment, Gilbert and Freddy walked over considerably.
Gilbert and Freddy smiled and remarked, "Mr. Taft, your posture is too strange. When Dad first held Stella, he was just like you. Mom said Dad's posture was too stiff and unnatural."
"Really?"
Quentin looked down and seriously examined his posture while holding Stella.
It did seem too stiff.
But with such a soft and tender baby in his arms, Quentin was really nervous, afraid of dropping her.
Back in the day, Quentin wasn't even this nervous holding a gun.
Gabriel drove quickly to the police station.
When he entered, Jessica and Grace were sitting in the lobby, and Callie and her group were also there.
"Honey," Gabriel called out anxiously, running over to hug Jessica.
"Where are you hurt? Let me see!"
With that, Gabriel carefully checked Jessica from head to toe.
Finally, his gaze fell on Jessica's soft cheek.
At that moment, the five finger marks on Jessica's face were particularly clear and made her face look especially swollen.
Gabriel's expression immediately darkened, and his voice turned icy, "What happened? Who hit you?"
Hearing this chilling voice, Callie couldn't help but shrink back.
Callie's heart raced with anxiety, leaving her feeling extremely uneasy.
Suddenly, Lydia seemed to have seen some shocking news.
Lydia immediately covered her mouth and reached out to pull Callie's hand forcefully.
"Callie, listen to me, go apologize right now."
"Lydia, I..."
"The person you just hit is the mistress of the Walton Group. Mr. Walton is famous for doting on his wife. If you want to protect your acting career, go apologize immediately."
"No matter what it costs, you must get their forgiveness, understand?"
Hearing this, Callie was completely terrified.
She quickly shuffled over and bowed deeply, apologizing earnestly, "I'm sorry, I accidentally hit your wife."
"Accidentally? Are you sure?"
Gabriel's sharp eyes stared at her, and his voice brooked no evasion.
Knowing she couldn't hide it, Callie quickly changed her approach.
Callie lowered her head, speaking in a pitiful, weak voice, "Mr. Walton, I'm sorry, I hurt your wife. It's all my fault. I'm willing to bear any consequences for my mistake."
"Please, be magnanimous and forgive me this once."
With that, Callie immediately looked at Jessica, her face pale as she apologized, "Mrs. Walton, I'm sorry, please forgive me."
Seeing Jessica standing there with a cold expression, saying nothing, Callie became even more frightened, her voice trembling.
"Mrs. Walton, it's all my fault. I offended you."
"As long as it makes you feel better, Mrs. Walton, I'll do anything."
Finally, Jessica spoke, "Really, anything?"
"Of course." Callie nodded frantically.
"Alright, let me be blunt. That slap made me feel extremely humiliated, so I'm in a very bad mood right now."
"I always believe in getting even. If someone slaps me, I'll make sure to pay them back ten times over or even more."
As soon as Jessica finished speaking, Callie understood.
Then the sound of slapping echoed.
Callie raised her right hand and slapped her right cheek forcefully and mercilessly.
Once, twice, three times...
Then with her left hand, Callie continued to slap her left cheek forcefully.
A few minutes later, Callie lowered her hands, looking pitifully at Jessica, "Mrs. Walton, are you satisfied now? Do you feel better?"
"It does feel a bit better, but..."
Jessica's tone changed as she walked over and held Grace's hand, "Grace is my best friend. We grew up together. If you humiliate her, you humiliate me."
"Unless Grace forgives you, it won't matter how much you beg me."
From Gabriel to Jessica, and now to Grace, Callie found herself begging for forgiveness.
A wave of anger washed over Callie; it felt like she was being played with.
But in the face of power, Callie had no choice but to compromise and retreat.
Reluctantly, Callie walked over to Grace and lowered her voice, "Grace, earlier I..."
However, before Callie could finish, Grace interrupted her.
"You don't need to apologize to me. I'm not a noble person, nor am I compassionate."
"So, Callie, for your insults and mockery, I refuse to accept your apology and will not forgive you."
"Take care of yourself."
Seeing Grace leave, Jessica immediately followed.
"My wife, I wouldn't even touch a hair on her head. You dare to hit her. Be prepared to pay the price." Gabriel scolded and then followed after them.
On the other side.
Quentin had just finished changing Stella's diaper.
Originally, Quentin had hoped the maids would help.
But Freddy and Gilbert said in unison, "Mr. Taft, Mom gave them all a day off today, so they're not here!"
Quentin looked at the soft Stella in his arms, feeling helpless.
"Mr. Taft, you should change the diaper yourself. We'll guide you."
Finally, under the guidance of Gilbert and Freddy, Quentin figured out the front and back of the diaper and the correct way to change it.
Quentin finally finished changing the diaper, and when he looked up, his forehead was covered in a fine layer of sweat.
To Quentin's relief, Stella was very well-behaved.
Stella not only cooperated but also gave Quentin the cutest smile.
Seeing her smile, Quentin felt that all the effort was worth it.
After changing the diaper, Quentin fed Stella milk.
Stella's tiny pink mouth sipped bit by bit. Soon, the milk in the bottle was almost gone.
When she let go of the bottle, there were some milk stains around Stella's mouth.
Quentin's hands gently wiped them away.
Looking at Stella's adorable face, Quentin's heart softened, and he couldn't help but tease, "Stella, give me a smile, just one smile for me."
