Chapte A Sweet World for Two
The moon shyly hid behind the clouds, revealing only half of itself.
Jessica lay on Gabriel's chest, utterly exhausted, too drained to stir.
"Tired?" He lowered his head and affectionately kissed her freshly kissed tender lips.
"Yes."
She replied softly and closed her eyes.
"Then hold me and sleep early."
"Wait a moment, I'll wash up before sleeping," Jessica said, mustering her strength.
But as soon as she finished speaking, she was lifted into the air by him.
"If you're tired, just sleep. I'll wash you," he said.
Jessica felt a bit embarrassed and was about to refuse, but he had already carried her into the bathroom.
Warm water immediately soaked into every pore of her body, feeling extremely comfortable, as if all her fatigue was being relieved.
"So comfortable."
She let out a soft sigh, too weary to hold back, and simply closed her eyes.
Gabriel massaged her head for a while, then let her soak in the bathtub for more than ten minutes before drying her off and carrying her to bed.
During this process, Jessica had already fallen asleep like a baby, completely unaware of anything.
After tucking her in, Gabriel went to the adjoining room to check on the three children.
Stella was very well-behaved, sleeping soundly, her tender skin like jelly, making one unconsciously mesmerized;
Freddy and Gilbert were more mischievous, having changed several positions on the bed they shared.
Gabriel couldn't help but laugh, wondering if Gilbert and Freddy were like this in Jessica's belly.
Then, he lay down next to Stella, while Jessica slept in the previous bed.
In the middle of the night, Stella woke up several times.
She opened her eyes, humming softly.
Gabriel coaxed Stella and made her some milk.
Stella was very good, falling asleep next to Gabriel after drinking the milk.
That night, Jessica had a peaceful sleep.
When she woke up, she was in a warm and cozy embrace.
Looking up, she saw Gabriel's face and instantly smiled happily.
"Good morning, honey!"
Jessica propped her delicate face with one hand, her long hair loose, looking at him with curved eyes.
Having just woken up, her complexion was rosy, more reminiscent of a young girl than a mother of three.
Gabriel was still groggy, his eyes barely open.
He stretched out his hand, pulling Jessica back into his arms, holding her intimately.
His pleasant voice, low and slightly husky from sleep, said, "So tired, sleep with me a little longer."
Jessica couldn't help but laugh at him, "Who was it that said they were full of energy and not tired yesterday?"
Gabriel held her hands to stop her from moving and said, "Serving you isn't tiring, but Stella wore me out."
"How many times did she wake up last night?" Jessica asked.
"Three or four times, I forgot."
Gabriel truly realized how hard it was to raise children.
Jessica had very little milk this time, so Stella mainly drank formula, occasionally breastfeeding.
Seeing the dark circles around Gabriel's eyes, Jessica didn't bother him anymore.
"Then I'll go check on the kids, you rest here."
But Gabriel flipped over and pinned her down, his attitude fierce, but his words were full of affection.
"No, I want you to sleep with me."
"I need to take care of the kids."
"No need, Mom and Dad took them downstairs early, so now it's just the two of us."
Saying this, he wrapped his arm around Jessica's waist, pulling her closer.
Jessica wasn't sleepy anymore, but being held by him and listening to his heartbeat, she fell asleep again.
This time, Gabriel woke up before her.
When Jessica opened her eyes, she met his affectionate gaze.
"Now, even sleeping with you feels like a luxury," Gabriel said, somewhat dissatisfied.
"Just for these few years, you'll have a lifetime after that."
"Okay, thinking like that makes me feel much better."
Thinking about how he stayed a bit longer at his grandfather's grave yesterday, Jessica asked, "By the way, what did you say to Grandpa yesterday when you stayed behind?"
"Guess."
"I guess you were expressing gratitude and apology to Grandpa."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean?"
Jessica reached out and pinched his cheek, "Thanking Grandpa for letting you marry me, so you could have such a good wife. Am I right?"
"When did you become so narcissistic?" Gabriel reached out and affectionately pinched her cheek.
"Just tell me if I'm right."
"Yes, whatever you say is right."
A few days later, Jessica was once again exhausted after making love with Gabriel. After taking a bath, she sank into bed and was fast asleep before she even knew it.
Gabriel dressed her in a dress and carried her to the bedroom door.
Danielle was already waiting outside, "Is everything ready?"
"Everything's ready. The kids are in your hands. I'll go first, you and they follow."
"Okay."
In the morning, when Jessica woke up, she could hardly believe what she saw.
She felt like she was in the sky, surrounded by soft white clouds like cotton candy, the sky was azure, and everything in front of her was incredibly beautiful.
Was this a dream?
She rubbed her eyes and looked again, still seeing the blue sky and white clouds;
She closed her eyes and opened them again, and the scene was the same.
'What's going on?'
'Isn't this a dream?' Jessica thought.
At that moment, Gabriel hugged her, unable to help but laugh at her childish behavior, "Silly, real things will still be there even if you look a hundred times!"
"You mean, all this is real?" Jessica turned to look at him.
Kissing her forehead, Gabriel gave the answer, "Honey, we are on a plane right now."
"Plane?" Jessica was stunned, "What about Stella and the others? Just the two of us?"
"Yes, bringing them along wouldn't be a couple's time. I've entrusted them to Mom and Dad, don't worry, they'll take good care of them."
Although hearing it from his mouth and the blue sky and white clouds in front of her confirmed everything.
Jessica still felt like everything was a dream, too surreal.
At that moment, Gabriel grabbed her hand, their fingers interlocked tightly.
"We've been married for so long, but I haven't given you a proper honeymoon, so this trip is just for the two of us."
"Honey, do you trust me to take care of you?"
Jessica nodded firmly, "Wherever you go, I will go, always together!"
