Chapter 520 Francis, I Twisted My Ankle
"What solution?" several people asked in unison.
"I'll have Louie come over and find a nanny to take care of me. That should put your minds at ease."
Vincent and Oscar nodded simultaneously.
"That is indeed a solution."
"But it's not reliable to just find any nanny. Oscar, you should go back to the Walton family and select a servant from there to take care of Jessica," Vincent said.
Oscar nodded, "Alright, I'll handle it as soon as I get back. I'll contact Louie first and have him bring a few people over tomorrow."
The next day.
Around eleven in the morning, Louie arrived with a few people.
Before leaving, Tina worriedly held Jessica's hand, "If you ever want to talk, call or message me anytime. I'll always be here for you."
"Okay."
"Don't worry about Gilbert and Freddy. I'll talk to Chelsea when I get back, and she'll take good care of them. Vincent and I will visit them whenever we can."
Jessica nodded, "Alright, with you guys around, I'm at ease."
"Jessica, goodbye, take care of yourself."
"Mrs. Walton, take care of yourself."
Watching them board the plane, Jessica waved vigorously.
Soon, the plane took off, and they grew farther and farther away.
Until she couldn't see them anymore, Jessica turned around, "Louie, let's go back."
"Okay, Mrs. Walton."
Back home, Jessica handed a photo of Gabriel to Louie, "Gabriel has amnesia now. His current name is Francis Gutierrez, and he has a fiancée named Celia."
"I need you to use these few days to find out all his information here and report back to me."
"Understood, Mrs. Walton. I'll get right on it."
After lunch, Jessica took a nap.
With the baby growing, she found herself becoming more prone to sleepiness.
She could sleep for nearly three hours in one nap.
When she woke up, the sun was just starting to set, and the light was much softer.
"Baby, the weather is great today. The sand on the beach is fine and comfortable. How about we go for a walk by the waves and enjoy the breeze?"
Wearing a sun hat, Jessica put on a floral dress that covered her belly and headed to the beach.
Louie was worried and had planned to follow, but Jessica said she wanted to walk alone.
"Mrs. Walton, please be careful and make sure to keep your phone with you. Call me immediately if anything happens."
Despite his words, Louie couldn't rest easy and kept a certain distance, quietly following Jessica.
Moreover, Oscar and Vincent had repeatedly instructed him: that no matter what, he must ensure Jessica's safety.
As soon as Jessica reached the beach, she saw Francis and Celia from a distance.
They were walking side by side on the beach, looking as loving and sweet as ever.
Although seeing them made Jessica's heartache, it was much better than the first time.
Jessica clenched her fists, trying hard to control her emotions.
This time, Jessica didn't approach them.
Instead, she started chatting with the girls on the island.
As they chatted, Katherine noticed Jessica's gaze on Francis and couldn't help but laugh.
"Do you also think Francis is handsome?"
"Francis? Do you know him?"
Katherine shook her head, "Not really, but Celia is a celebrity on this island. We all know that Francis is her fiancé. Plus, he's so handsome and charming; everyone is envious."
Jessica quickly caught the flaw in her words.
"So, you didn't know Francis before? Wasn't he raised on this island?"
Katherine looked puzzled, "Where did you hear that? You must be mistaken!"
"Francis didn't grow up on this island. I heard he was Celia's boyfriend from outside, whom she brought back after graduating from college. None of us had seen him before."
Jessica understood.
Just as she thought, Celia's words weren't worth trusting.
Everything Celia said was a lie.
"I heard they are already engaged. Do you know when the wedding is?"
"It seems to be set for August 8th. It's going to be so romantic."
After that, Katherine left.
Jessica sat on a bench on the beach, enjoying the breeze.
When she looked back in Francis's direction, Celia had already left, and he was alone on the beach.
Seeing him walking over, Jessica's heart began to race uncontrollably.
After a few months, of seeing him again, even though he had forgotten her, Jessica's heart still beat wildly for him.
A few minutes later, Jessica felt his footsteps getting closer.
Every step he took seemed to tread on her heart.
Jessica was both nervous and excited.
What excited her even more was that he seemed to be walking in her direction.
Just as Francis reached Jessica's bench, she clenched her fists and called out excitedly, "Gabriel, are you here to..."
However, before she could finish her sentence, Francis had already walked past the bench and headed straight for someone else.
They shook hands and chatted with smiles.
It turned out Francis had met an acquaintance, which was why he walked in her direction.
Jessica's heart sank.
She stared blankly at them.
After their conversation, the person left, and Francis seemed ready to leave as well.
Jessica hurriedly stood up, calling out as she walked, "Francis."
But she had barely called his name when suddenly, she let out a sharp scream and gasped in pain.
Despite the pain, she couldn't help but look at Francis's back.
"I twisted my ankle, and it hurts a lot. Can you help me?"
Francis still had his back to her and didn't turn around.
His figure was tall and straight.
Although he didn't turn around, he didn't leave immediately either.
Seeing a glimmer of hope, Jessica continued, "I'm new here and don't know anyone. Can you help me?"
He still didn't turn around, but his familiar voice came through clearly, "I remember you have a few friends. Where are they?"
"They went back this morning."
"Then you can call a doctor. They will help you."
"Really?" Jessica replied bitterly.
"Thank you for your kindness, but it's not necessary."
Then she watched as Francis walked away.
Francis walked farther and farther.
In the end, she couldn't bear to watch anymore.
Turning her head, Jessica struggled to sit back on the bench.
As the breeze blew, Jessica felt extremely comfortable, but she couldn't help shedding tears.
If it were before, how could he treat Jessica as a stranger?
As long as she acted a little spoiled, he would have already held her in his arms.
But now, he treated her as a stranger.
As Jessica silently wiped her tears, suddenly, a voice came to her ear, "You're about to be a mom, and you're still crying. This isn't good for the baby in your belly."
