Chapter 448 The Clever Battle with Patricia
"Jessica? Is that you? I thought you were dead!"
Patricia took off her sunglasses, staring at her in disbelief.
Seeing it was Patricia, Jessica instinctively pulled Freddy and Gilbert behind her, holding on tight.
Noticing her actions, Patricia immediately locked her gaze on Gilbert and Freddy.
Her eyes widened, and her ghostly face twisted with jealousy.
"I can't believe you had two kids with the Waltons! How old are they?"
"That's none of your business. Move aside."
Jessica pushed her away and led Gilbert and Freddy forward.
If she had known she would run into Patricia here, she would never have chosen the indoor playground at the mall; she would have gone to a large outdoor amusement park.
Patricia, in her high heels, frantically chased after them.
"Jessica, don't go. These kids look about four or five years old. A few years ago, you and Jack also..."
"Shut up."
Before Patricia could finish, Jessica angrily interrupted her.
"There was never anything between Jack and me. I won't let you insult me or my children."
Patricia, acting like a shrew, blocked her path unreasonably.
She wouldn't let Jessica move forward at all.
"I'll say it one more time, move!" Jessica warned coldly.
"Until I figure out the identity of these two kids, I won't move. Jessica, if they are my grandchildren, I will make sure Jack gets custody."
"Patricia, you are out of your mind!"
Jessica couldn't hold back any longer. "If you're crazy, go to a mental hospital. Don't come here to cause trouble."
"Gilbert, hold Freddy's hand. We're leaving."
Seeing them about to leave, Patricia, in a panic, grabbed Freddy's hand.
She moved quickly and forcefully, causing Freddy to frown. "Mommy, help me!"
Without a word, Jessica grabbed Patricia's shiny long hair.
Her voice was chillingly cold, "Patricia, I'll count to three. If you don't let go of Freddy, I won't hesitate to pull out all your hair."
"One, two..."
Just as she was about to say the third number, seeing Jessica's fierce determination, Patricia chickened out and released Freddy's wrist.
"Are you okay? Let me see."
Seeing the red mark on Freddy's wrist, Jessica was concerned about him.
She took out her phone and made a call.
Soon, several police officers arrived.
"Who is Ms. Morgan?"
Jessica raised her hand. "I am."
"Did you call the police, saying someone tried to forcibly take your children?" an officer asked.
Jessica looked at one of the officers. "Could you please take my two children to play nearby? What happens next is not suitable for them."
"Sure."
Watching Gilbert and Freddy being taken to a nearby building block store by the police, Jessica breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, she pointed at Patricia. "Excuse me, Officer, it's her. In broad daylight, she tried to forcibly take my children."
"You..." Patricia's face turned livid with anger as she looked at Jessica: "You little bitch, what nonsense are you spouting?"
Jessica calmly looked at the officer. "Officer, she is also verbally abusing me."
"Jessica, I underestimated you after all these years. If I had known, I would have killed you back then."
Jessica remained calm. "You heard that. Besides verbal abuse, she also threatened my life. Officer, if I get kidnapped or something happens to me, it's her doing."
At this point, Patricia was too angry to speak.
She pointed at Jessica, trembling with rage, her face looking even worse.
Finally, Patricia turned to the police, explaining earnestly, "You can't just listen to her. You must hear my explanation. She used to be with my son, and I suspect the two children she's with are my sons."
"If they are my grandchildren, of course, I want to take them home."
Jessica had never seen shameless people before, but Patricia's level of shamelessness was beyond her comprehension.
"You are wearing a police uniform. You must uphold justice and help me. I'm so old, and I just want a grandchild. But she won't let me see my grandchild."
"You just need to do a DNA test with my son and these two kids, and the truth will be clear. I have no other way. You must help me!"
Patricia's acting skills were so good that it was a pity she wasn't an actress.
Jessica was puzzled. Her father-in-law seemed like a smart and capable man. How did he get charmed by someone like Patricia?
It was simply baffling.
Patricia grabbed one of the police officers' hands, sobbing uncontrollably, with snot and tears streaming down her face.
Jessica didn't stop her.
She just crossed her arms and stood there, watching Patricia's performance.
Finally, Patricia felt she had acted enough and stopped, wiping her tears sadly.
Jessica coldly asked, "Are you done? Do you have anything else to say?"
Patricia, focused on her sad act, nodded immediately.
Realizing what Jessica had just asked, her face turned pale. "What act? Jessica, your words are too harsh. Everything I said is true."
Without looking at her, Jessica turned to the police.
"Nothing she said is true. First, I was never with her son, so I can't have children with him."
"My children have their parents and grandparents. She is crying and playing the victim to cover up the fact that she tried to forcibly take and harm my children."
"Jessica." Patricia still looked at her sadly. "Don't slander me."
"I have evidence."
As soon as she said that, Patricia's face turned pale.
Jessica looked towards the elevator.
Soon, a slightly overweight man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, in a suit, came running over.
Seeing him, Jessica immediately turned to the police. "This is the mall manager. He has brought the surveillance footage. From the footage, you can see her constantly pulling and trying to take my children, causing them harm."
"Along with the verbal abuse and threats, I am filing a report and requesting you take her to the police station."
