Chapter 344 Does She Like You?
"A family of four?" Jessica whispered, almost to herself.
Gabriel squeezed her hand tighter. "Yeah, a family of four: you, me, and two little ones."
Jessica spun around, tears welling up in her eyes. "You really believe me now?"
"I'm sorry, Jessica. I should've never doubted you." He pulled her into a tight hug.
Feeling his warmth, Jessica finally felt at peace. Their love had been through so much, and it was a miracle they were still together.
Jessica couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for the woman in the video. Curious about her, she asked, "By the way, how did you find her?"
"Tracking someone down with no info was tough, so it took a while. But luckily, it worked out."
"But going through something like that is awful for a girl. Why would she agree to testify?" Jessica was still confused.
Gabriel explained, "She comes from a single-parent family, and her brother has kidney failure. They're really struggling financially. Patricia bribed her with money. I doubled the offer and promised to find a kidney donor for her brother if she cooperated."
Jessica sighed deeply after hearing Gabriel's explanation. In such a situation, who could say no?
Thanks to the clarification, the Walton Group's stock had bounced back a bit. But things were still shaky.
Jack's identity had already caused a huge stir in the company, and before the announcement, he had secretly contacted many small shareholders and gathered a lot of shares. Plus, he had teamed up with several major shareholders.
The Walton Group was a massive corporation, and there had always been power struggles. No one would pass up such a golden opportunity. Moreover, Jack's arrival gave them the perfect chance.

Gabriel was back to working long hours. But it was better than before. At least he could come home every night to be with Jessica, no matter how late.

That day, Jessica was in a great mood. While having breakfast, she saw some eggs and remembered the cake Gabriel had been craving.
So, as soon as Gabriel left for work, she asked Charlotte to help her gather the ingredients to make a cake.
Charlotte was naturally worried, afraid Jessica would tire herself out. "Mrs. Walton, let me handle it. You should go rest, have some tea, or read a book."
"It's okay, Charlotte. I'm not that fragile, and the doctor said a little exercise is good for the baby. Gabriel's super picky about cakes. If it's too sweet, he thinks it's gross, and if it's too bland, he says it has no flavor."
Charlotte still looked worried.
Jessica just smiled and reassured her, "Charlotte, seriously, don't worry about me. I've been resting so much, I feel like I'm becoming part of the bed. I need to move around a bit."
After a lot of convincing, Charlotte finally agreed but insisted on having a servant stay in the kitchen to help Jessica.
After a few hours of hard work, Jessica finished the cake just before noon. She packed some food and decided to take it to Gabriel's office. Of course, she mainly wanted to surprise him.
As she carried everything into the elevator, Jessica's heart raced, and she felt a bit nervous. But thinking about seeing him soon, she felt excited and full of anticipation. A faint smile appeared on her lips.
Since the door was half-open, Jessica didn't think much and pushed it open. However, as soon as she opened the door, she saw a beautiful young woman holding Gabriel's arm.
Gabriel immediately pulled Chelsea Haugen's arm away and spoke sternly, "Chelsea, don't do that. I've already told you, I have..."
He sensed something was wrong before he could finish his sentence. Looking up, he saw Jessica standing at the door with something in her hands.
At that moment, Gabriel's heart pounded wildly. Then came a huge wave of panic. He quickly walked to Jessica's side, took the things from her hand with one hand, and held her hand with the other.
"Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" he asked, afraid Jessica might misunderstand the scene.
"I wanted to surprise you," Jessica said.
Gabriel led her towards Chelsea, his voice serious. "Let me formally introduce you to my fiancée, Jessica Morgan."
To his surprise, Chelsea covered her mouth in shock. "That Jessica? The one from the video..."
"Chelsea!" Gabriel interrupted her sharply before she could finish.
Chelsea raised her hands defensively. "Why so harsh? I won't say anything more."
"Mind yourself. Things have been clarified already, and I don't want to hear any more rumors."
Chelsea pouted unhappily. "Alright, since your beloved is here, I'll leave."
After she left, Gabriel immediately pulled Jessica close and looked at the box in his hand. "Did you bring me lunch?"
"And something else. Guess what?" Jessica replied.
"Now I'm even more curious."
When all the boxes were opened, Gabriel saw the small, delicate cake inside, and his heart instantly felt warm. "Why did you make me a cake?" he asked.
"I haven't made one for you in a long time. I had the time today. Try it, it's best when fresh."
But Gabriel didn't taste it right away. Instead, he looked at Jessica and asked, "Jessica, don't you have anything to ask me?"
"Of course I do." This time, Jessica didn't hide her feelings and answered frankly.
"Alright, I'll give you a quick Q&A session. You can ask anything."
"Anything?" Jessica emphasized. "Alright, who is she? What's your relationship with her?"
To be honest, since being brought to the Walton family by Xavier, she had lived there for quite some time, but she had no impression of this young lady.
"And does she like you?" she added, tilting her head inquisitively.
