Chapter 603 Reunite
Gabriel remembered Vincent and Tina at the operating room entrance.
Honestly, Vincent and Tina were in terrible shape.
Both Vincent and Tina had injuries, with bruises and bloodstains all over them.
Tina had been bullied, but he wasn't sure to what extent.
Seeing Gabriel's silence, Jessica's heart sank even further.
"Honey, don't scare me!" Jessica was extremely frightened.
Gabriel hugged her, "Honey, don't worry. I'm just not sure, so I didn't want to speak hastily."
"I'll bring Vincent here, and you can ask him yourself, okay?"
Jessica nodded eagerly, "Okay."
Vincent arrived quickly. When he saw that Jessica was awake and recovering well, he finally felt relieved.
"How are you feeling?" Vincent asked proactively.
"The wound hurts a bit, but everything else is fine."
"That's good."
Taking a deep breath, Jessica asked, "Vincent, how is Tina? Please tell me the truth, okay?"
"Jessica," Vincent looked at her sincerely, "I can't lie to you. She did suffer some harm. When I found her, her clothes were torn, and she was curled up in a corner, trembling with fear."
"But I want to tell you that Tina was not violated, and she is stronger and more optimistic than we thought."
"So, I believe Tina will overcome the shadow of this incident."
Although worried, Vincent's words reassured Jessica and made her feel much better.
Jessica stayed in the hospital for a few days until her wounds had mostly healed, and only then did Gabriel agree to her discharge.
When Jessica was discharged, Gabriel learned that new moms should avoid the wind.
So he somehow found an oversized coat and wrapped Jessica up tightly.
Jessica looked at him helplessly, "You don't have to be so exaggerated."
But Gabriel was very insistent.
Besides her body, Jessica's head and feet were also wrapped up tightly.
Before leaving the hospital, Gabriel, holding Stella, and Jessica went to Danielle's room together.
"Mom, Dad should have already told you, Jessica gave birth to a daughter."
"The baby's name is Stella, chosen by Jessica. If you were awake, you would think it's a great name too."
"I'm sorry it took me until today to bring Stella to see you."
Gabriel said a lot, while Jessica chimed in with a few words.
And Stella opened her eyes, glancing around with curiosity.
But Danielle still lay in the bed, unresponsive.
After visiting Danielle, Gabriel and Jessica went back home.
As soon as they got home and handed Stella to the nanny, Gabriel took Jessica's hand and led her outside.
"Honey, where are you taking me?"
"There's something you need to know right away."
Gabriel led Jessica to the study door and then said, "Honey, someone you've always wanted to meet is waiting for you inside. I'll leave you to it."
"Who?"
Jessica hesitated and then pushed the door open and walked in.
The person inside was turned away, merely a silhouette.
She looked closely and found it somewhat familiar.
Just as Jessica was guessing who it might be, suddenly, Alfonso turned around.
Seeing him, Jessica was stunned, "Mr. Harvey, are you looking for me?"
Alfonso could no longer suppress his excitement and walked over with big strides.
"Jessica," he choked up with emotion, "I'm your father!"
Hearing this, Jessica was stunned.
For a while, her mind went blank.
Alfonso said he was her father.
How could that be?
This must be a mistake.
Taking a few deep breaths, Jessica tried to calm her turbulent emotions and cautiously asked, "Mr. Harvey, are you sure you're not mistaken?"
Alfonso spoke with certainty, "Yes."
"Jessica, I am your father. My real name is Ulysses Lucas, the person you've been looking for."
When he said this, Jessica was completely shocked, standing there like a statue.
Her mind couldn't process it.
Even her fingers were stiff.
After a while, she took a deep breath and opened her eyes. Seeing Alfonso still standing in front of her, Jessica spoke again, "Can you repeat what you just said?"
"I am Ulysses, your father!"
To prove it, Alfonso took out his phone, showed a photo of him and Giselle, and explained, "This is me in the photo."
"But after that explosion, I was disfigured and became like this."
"I've changed a lot, but I am your father!"
After saying all this, Alfonso was already in tears.
He was so emotional that he couldn't control himself.
Tears also welled up in Jessica's eyes.
In an instant, she was sobbing uncontrollably.
She finally believed that the person in front of her was indeed her father.
"Dad,"
She shouted and walked over excitedly.
Alfonso hugged her tightly.
After over twenty years apart, they were finally having the most beautiful reunion.
"Dad, is it you?"
"Dad, I've been looking for you all these years. I thought you were dead. It's so wonderful that God brought you back to me alive."
Overwhelmed with joy, Jessica's words came out in a jumble.
When she was little, she envied others for having dads who lifted them high and bought them princess dresses, feeling their love.
But at that moment, she no longer envied others.
Although it was twenty years late, she was still very happy.
"I'm sorry, Jessica, I missed your growing up."
"I've let both you and your mom down. I didn't know about your existence until now."
Alfonso stroked her head, his voice choked with emotion.
But Jessica no longer cared about these things.
Her father's warm embrace was the best answer.
When she let go, Alfonso, like every father, wiped Jessica's tears.
Jessica felt warm and very comforted.
She should have been laughing out loud.
But she unknowingly started crying again.
"What's wrong?" Alfonso asked, heartbroken.
Jessica rubbed her eyes, "Nothing, I'm just too happy. For over twenty years, I never experienced a father's true love. This moment feels like a dream. It feels so good to have a father's love!"
"It's my fault. I will make up for everything you've lost."
Jessica smiled brightly.
If it weren't for the reality in front of her, she would have thought she was dreaming.
"Dad, you haven't held Stella yet!" Jessica said, stopping her tears.
