Chapter 326 Furious Slap to Patricia
Danielle said, "Dad made this will when he found out he didn't have much time left."
"After he passed, the person he worried about the most was you. He was scared that if you and Gabriel split up, you wouldn't be secure. He also worried that as a girl without any family, you'd be lonely."
"Dad always said that besides money, he didn't have much to leave you, so he wanted to make sure you had enough to live comfortably."
Jessica listened, her eyes welling up with tears.
She felt that Xavier was truly the best grandpa in the world. Whether he was alive or gone, he always thought about her.
"So, Patricia wanted Jack to marry me just for this 20% share, right?" Jessica asked.
Danielle nodded. "Yep, she and Jack aren't happy being second fiddle. Now they want to come back and grab the Walton Family's assets. No matter who it is, if they try to take what's ours, I won't just sit back. Don't worry; just focus on yourself. I'll handle Patricia."
"Okay, Mom, you be careful too!"
After making sure Jessica got home safely, Danielle headed straight to Patricia's place.
The red Maserati pulled up in front of a fancy villa. Danielle, rocking a red coat and high heels, stepped out of the car.
Her assistant followed her as they walked towards the villa.
But at the door, a bodyguard stopped them. "Ma'am, this is a private villa. You can't come in without an invite."
Danielle laughed coldly and looked at her assistant, who immediately made a phone call.
A few minutes later, two cars pulled up in front of the villa. A group of ten bodyguards in black suits and pants got out and lined up behind Danielle. The assistant looked at the villa's bodyguards and waved, saying, "Mrs. Walton wants to go in, but they won't let her."
Hearing this, the bodyguards took down the villa's guards and opened the door, standing respectfully on either side.
Danielle put on her sunglasses and walked in with an air of authority, her high heels clicking.
Patricia had just woken up and was still in her pajamas. "Get me a cup of coffee." As soon as she said that, she saw someone walk in, wearing sunglasses and high heels.
Patricia was instantly shocked and screamed, "What's going on? Where are the bodyguards? How did they let a stranger in? Get her out now."
With a smirk, Danielle took off her sunglasses and looked at Patricia with a cold smile, saying, "You've got a big mouth. I really underestimated you."
"It's you?" Patricia recognized her immediately.
Even though she'd been with Jonah all these years, she rarely saw Danielle. Jonah never let her near Danielle, warning her countless times not to provoke Danielle. And Danielle had her pride. She wouldn't stoop to fighting with a mistress or crying over Jonah.
Even though they hadn't seen each other in years, Patricia still felt a pang of jealousy seeing Danielle again. Danielle not only had a powerful background but was also drop-dead gorgeous.
It was crazy how time seemed to have no effect on her. She still looked stunning.
Meanwhile, Patricia had gray hair and wrinkles, and she was far from her prime. She was still in her loose pajamas, and her posture and presence were completely overshadowed by Danielle. This realization made her even angrier.
Honestly, Patricia had always been puzzled. Jonah, a man with such high standards, had married such a beautiful wife, so why did he like her? She still didn't get it. But it didn't matter anymore.
With a cold glance at Patricia, Danielle walked over to the sofa and sat down, looking at Patricia and asking, "Has it been so long since I last saw you that you've forgotten your place? Or have you been living comfortably for so long that you think causing trouble is fun?"
Patricia forced a smile, "Mrs. Walton, you're overreacting. I'm just fighting for some reasonable rights."
Danielle sneered, her sharp gaze cutting through, "Rights? I think it's shamelessly coveting things that don't belong to you."
Patricia retorted, "Mrs. Walton, that's harsh. Although I owe you an apology, Jack is innocent. All these years, to make you happy, I've been hiding abroad with Jack, suffering so much. I love Jonah, so I don't fight for anything. But Jack is his child, a part of the Walton Family. He has the right to inherit the Walton Family's assets."
Danielle slowly looked at her, saying, "Then you really lack self-awareness. Jack is nothing but a bastard child, never acknowledged by my dad or Jonah."
"As for you, you won't be acknowledged either."
"Patricia, remember this: the reason I haven't come after you all these years is that I see you as an ant, not worth my time. If you behave, I won't bother you. But if you covet things you shouldn't, don't blame me for being ruthless."
Patricia clenched her hand so hard that it almost bled. Biting her lip, she tried her best to endure. All these years, what she hated most was Danielle's self-righteous, all-controlling demeanor. If she could, she would rather Danielle fight her for Jonah. The more she acted like this, the angrier Patricia became.
Every time, Danielle was aloof and cold, as if she wanted to crush her into the ground, which was what Patricia hated the most and why she wanted to resist.
Clenching her fists, Patricia felt her heart twist with hatred, 'Danielle, one day, I'll make you pay for what you've done. I'll make you crawl at my feet like a dog, begging for mercy.'
Before leaving, Danielle stood in front of Patricia, looking down at her. Suddenly, she reached out and slapped her. "The first slap is for your shamelessness in being a mistress and stealing my husband."
Patricia covered her face, glaring at Danielle with hatred but not daring to speak.
Danielle raised her hand and slapped her again. "The second slap is for Gabriel and Jessica, for your unscrupulousness in trying to cause trouble."
