Chapter 317 Jessica is Pregnant 1

Jessica woke up in a hospital room.

The obstetrician grinned at her, "Dr. Morgan, congrats; you're pregnant!"

"What?" Jessica could barely believe her ears.

"Say that again; am I really pregnant?"

Jessica was so thrilled she almost danced with joy, a huge smile lighting up her face.

"Yes, absolutely. The baby is already a month old and has a heartbeat. Here's the ultrasound, take a look."

"Okay."

Jessica carefully took the paper.

When she saw the tiny dot on the ultrasound, she couldn't hold back her excitement, tears streaming down her face.

A baby, how amazing; she was going to have a baby again!

It must be that the baby in heaven couldn't bear to leave her, so it found a way to come back to her, letting her be its mom once more.

It had to be that way.

For so many nights, whenever she thought of the baby she lost, Jessica felt incredibly sad.

But now, this good news of her pregnancy washed away all the long-standing pain and guilt.

Jessica thought, 'Baby, thank you! Thank you for choosing me again and coming back to my womb. Don't worry; this time I will protect you, and I won't let anyone hurt you. Baby, you've come back to me, and I'm so happy.'

Seeing Jessica wiping her tears, the doctor thought she had said something wrong and asked anxiously, "Dr. Morgan, what's wrong? This is such a happy occasion; why are you crying?"

Jessica realized she was crying quite hard.

She quickly wiped her tears and smiled at the doctor, "No, I'm not crying. I'm happy. I'm so happy. You have no idea. Ever since I lost that baby, I've been dreaming of having another one. But I knew I couldn't force it. Now that the baby is back, I'm so happy and excited that I can't control myself."

Jessica got more and more excited, saying, "This baby is simply a gift from God, and I will cherish it."

The doctor looked at her, equally pleased, "That's perfect. I'm happy for you too."

Jessica said, "Thank you. Are there any precautions I need to take? Don't worry; I will follow every single one."

The doctor instructed, "In the early stages, the fetus is still unstable. Make sure to eat nutritious food, rest well, get plenty of sleep, and maintain a good mood."

"Okay, I will." Jessica nodded obediently.

Even hours after hearing the news, Jessica was still in a state of immense excitement and joy.

If she hadn't heard the doctor say she was pregnant and didn't have the ultrasound in her hand, she wouldn't have believed she was really pregnant.

She was actually pregnant?

She was carrying Gabriel's baby?

This was wonderful; she was going to be a mother, and Gabriel was going to be a father.

Thinking about this, Jessica felt incredibly happy all day.

She couldn't stop smiling.

As soon as Jessica came out, Tina ran over, out of breath, and asked anxiously, "Jessica, how are you?"

Jessica shook her head, a smile she couldn't hide on her lips, "I'm fine, really."

"You just fainted; how can you be fine? If anything happens, you must tell me. Don't try to tough it out!" Tina said, clearly worried.

Jessica grabbed her arm, "Tina, let's head back to the office and talk."

"Okay."

Five minutes later.

"What?" Tina was stunned, staring at Jessica's belly in disbelief, "You're really pregnant?"

"Yes, Tina, I'm so happy. I have a baby. In nine months, I'll be a mom, and I'll meet my baby."

Jessica was truly overjoyed.

Her eyes, her eyebrows, her whole face radiated excitement and happiness.

She had already decided that tonight, she would share this amazing news with Gabriel as soon as possible.

Soon, she dialed his number.

"Jessica." Gabriel's voice was as gentle as ever.

"Gabriel, do you have to work late today?"

"Probably not," Gabriel said, then lowered his voice, "Do you miss me? Want me to come home early?"

"Yes, come home early. I have something important to tell you."

"Okay."

That evening, from the moment she got off work, Jessica's heart wouldn't stop racing.

She took a deep breath and exhaled, still clenching her hands tightly.

Thinking about telling him she was pregnant, Jessica was very nervous.

After work, she went home alone, having also told Oscar not to pick her up today.

She wanted to come home alone to prepare and to give Gabriel this greatest joy as a surprise.

As the clock neared eight, suddenly, the door opened.

Knowing he was back, Jessica instantly became nervous again.

She stood there, feeling at a loss with both her hands and feet.

How should she tell him?

However, before Jessica could think of the right words, Gabriel had already embraced her and kissed her.

He pressed his head against hers, out of breath, saying, "Jessica, help me take off my clothes."

At that moment, Jessica forgot everything.

She reached out to unbutton his shirt, but when she got to the third button, revealing his smooth, strong, and sexy body, Jessica suddenly snapped back to reality, quickly buttoning his shirt back up.

Gabriel grabbed her hand and put it in his mouth, laughing softly, "So naughty, playing hard to get with me? Alright, since you're in such a playful mood today, I'll personally teach you a lesson."

With that, his lips fell on Jessica's neck again.

His hands were like they were on fire, filled with immense power.

Jessica, holding onto the last bit of her sanity, pulled away from him and said, with her eyes sparkling, "I'm sorry, Gabriel, not today. Maybe not for a while."

She continued, her eyes shyly falling on her belly, filled with excitement and joy, "Gabriel, I'm pregnant. I have a baby. The doctor said it's already a month old."

Gabriel was stunned.

She was pregnant?

But how could she be pregnant?

A month, for the past month, he had been restless, anxious.

Yet, the thing he feared most and felt most powerless against, had happened.

Why did she have to get pregnant now?

If it had been a month later, even two weeks later, he would have been overjoyed. But why now?

Gabriel stood there as if struck by lightning, unable to react for a long time.
