Chapter 837 The Wedding Day 2
Grace only told a few close friends about her wedding.
As for her parents, ever since they divorced and left her a few years ago, she felt she no longer had a mom and dad.
After she entered the entertainment industry, they never cared about her life, only about how much money she could give them.
To them, she was just a money-making machine, with no other purpose.
Grace did her makeup and changed into her wedding dress, sitting in a luxurious hotel, waiting for Kenneth come to pick her up.
Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door and thought he had arrived, smiling lightly.
"Grace, it's me!"
Hearing Jessica's voice, she immediately opened the door.
Jessica immediately hugged her. "Grace, you look so beautiful today!"
"Thank you, Jessica. I'm so happy you could come today. I thought you wouldn't make it."
Grace had only called Jessica last night to tell her about her wedding to Kenneth.
Jessica was shocked, but as a good friend, she supported her decision.
"Grace, today is your wedding day. Of course, I had to come."
She said this while holding Grace's hand tightly. "Grace, although I don't know what happened between you and Quentin, or why you decided to marry Kenneth."
"But as long as you've decided, I will support you without hesitation, just like you supported me before."
Grace nodded vigorously, her eyes filled with tears.
"Grace, today is your wedding day, don't cry!"
Jessica wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and touched up her makeup.
"By the way, where are your kids? I haven't seen them in a long time!" Grace asked.
"Gabriel has them. If you want to see them, I'll have him bring them over."
"Sure!"
"Wait here, I'll make a call."
Gabriel received the call and quickly brought the three kids over.
Gilbert and Freddy burst through the hotel door like a gust of wind, running happily.
They ran while shouting, "Ms. Morgan!"
Grace hugged them. Although Gilbert and Freddy had grown up, she held them both because she hadn't seen them in a long time.
"Ms. Morgan, you look so beautiful in your wedding dress, like a real beauty!"
Grace smiled and pinched Freddy's little cheek. "It's been so long, and Freddy's still such a sweet talker. Let me see, what have you been eating every day?"
Compared to Freddy, Gilbert seemed much more composed.
Gilbert sat properly, his little mouth moving seriously. "Ms. Morgan has always been beautiful, but in a wedding dress, you're even more beautiful, like a fairy."
Suddenly, Freddy sighed.
Jessica and Grace both laughed and asked him, "Why are you sighing?"
"I wish I could marry a wife as beautiful as Ms. Morgan when I grow up. I'm so jealous of Mr. Taft!"
As soon as he said this, the atmosphere became tense.
Jessica immediately picked Freddy up from Grace and handed him to Gabriel. "Give me Stella, and you take Gilbert and Freddy to the wedding venue."
"Okay."
Gabriel listened to Jessica.
He said goodbye to Grace and turned to leave.
In the hallway, Freddy looked at Gabriel and asked sadly, "Dad, did I say something wrong? Mom seemed really angry just now."
Gabriel squatted down and answered seriously, "Ms. Morgan isn't marrying Mr. Taft today, but you didn't know, so it's not your fault."
"Mom isn't mad at you. She's just very worried about Ms. Morgan and doesn't want her to be sad."
Gilbert asked, "Dad, but isn't Mr. Taft Ms. Morgan's boyfriend? Why isn't Ms. Morgan marrying Mr. Taft? Does that mean Ms. Morgan is marrying someone else?"
Gabriel patted his head and patiently explained, "I can only tell you that the adult world is very complicated. It's not just about liking someone; there are many other factors."
"But remember this: if you like a girl when you grow up, you must cherish her and not hurt her, or you'll regret it."
Gilbert and Freddy nodded seriously.
Then Freddy looked up and asked, "Dad, does that mean Mr. Taft regrets it?"
Only Quentin could answer that question, and Gabriel couldn't answer for him.
In the room, Grace was holding Stella affectionately.
Stella was over a year old and had just learned to walk.
She had inherited their perfect features, with eyes and a nose that were unbelievably beautiful.
Seeing Grace and Stella playing happily, Jessica spoke with some concern, "Grace, don't take Freddy's words to heart."
Grace smiled at her. "Look at you frowning. I thought it was something serious. I haven't taken it to heart for a long time. Besides, Freddy is right. I'm not marrying Quentin today, so there's nothing to avoid. No need to be so tense."
"Is Kenneth good to you?" Jessica asked.
Grace nodded without hesitation. "He's very good to me."
"He respects me a lot and gives me a lot of freedom. For that, I'm really grateful to him."
Hearing this, Jessica finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She told herself that Grace marrying Kenneth might be a new beginning.
It was already ten in the morning, but Kenneth hadn't arrived to pick Grace up.
At first, Grace was calm.
She thought Kenneth might be too busy or delayed by something.
After all, he had always been very punctual in her mind.
But on such an important day, it was unusual for him to be late.
"I'll call him!"
Grace said as she dialed the phone.
"Hello, Grace!" Kenneth quickly answered and explained, "There was an accident on the road, and I'm stuck in traffic. I might be a bit late. Don't worry, just wait for me."
"Okay, be safe."
Stella was very close to Gabriel, and after being apart for a while, she was a bit upset and throwing a tantrum.
"Daddy."
"I want Daddy."
Her cute little voice kept calling for Gabriel, so Jessica had to take her to find him.
When Stella saw Gabriel, she immediately stretched out her arms and happily called for Daddy.
Jessica felt a bit jealous watching this.
After handing Stella to Gabriel, Jessica said she was going to accompany Grace, but Gabriel stopped her. "Honey, don't go yet!"
"Why?"
Gabriel's eyes deepened as he spoke. "I heard Kenneth is stuck in traffic."
"Yes, that's why I want to stay with Grace and wait."
After hesitating, Gabriel finally spoke, "From what I know about Quentin, he won't let Grace marry Kenneth. I think he is already on his way. He will definitely come for Grace!"
