Chapter 564 Settling Accounts with Celia 1
"Will he?"
"Can he remember?"
Jessica looked out the window calmly.
Vincent looked at her and answered firmly, "He will."
Jessica quietly watched the floating clouds, saying nothing more.
Her delicate cheeks were bathed in the orange-red sunset, making her look exceptionally gentle.
Perhaps she had been disappointed too many times, so she dared not hope anymore.
She didn't even dare to think about how Gabriel was doing now.
Did Gabriel think she had been in a car accident and was frantically looking for her?
Or had Gabriel already married Celia and was having sex with her?
Or maybe Gabriel didn't even know about the car accident.
At that moment, a blanket was draped over her, and Vincent's warm voice sounded in her ear, "Don't think too much. Get some sleep. We'll be there when you wake up."
"Okay!"
Jessica nodded and gently closed her eyes.
Gabriel had been frantically searching all day, looking everywhere he could, but he couldn't find any trace of Jessica.
"Jessica, what happened to you?"
Gabriel cried out in pain.
When he was heartbroken, Gabriel could only take out his phone, which had photos he had taken of her by the sea.
Each one made him miss her madly.
Suddenly, the phone rang again.
The call was from Alisha.
Undoubtedly, Alisha was calling about Celia's condition.
Gabriel didn't want to see them at all, but now it seemed that everything needed to be settled.
They had deceived him for an extended period, treating him as if he were a fool and leading him in circles.
Now, he had to seek justice.
Gabriel pushed the ward door. When Alisha saw him, she immediately rushed over and loudly accused him, "Francis, where have you been? Why didn't you get on the ambulance?"
"Do you know how badly Celia is hurt? She almost died just now."
"I called you dozens of times. Why didn't you answer? Luckily, you still have some conscience and came to see Celia."
Alisha continued to speak incessantly.
Seeing that Gabriel didn't say a word and showed no guilt on his face, Alisha became even angrier.
"Francis, what's wrong with you? Why aren't you talking?"
"The one who should be angry today is Celia. If it weren't for Jessica causing trouble, would Celia be hurt? Would Celia be in the emergency room?"
At that moment, Gabriel was extremely annoyed.
But he had to endure a little longer because he needed to reveal everything at the most dramatic moment.
Alish reached out and grabbed his arm.
"Come over here and sit next to Celia."
"Luckily, Celia hasn't woken up yet. You're not too late. If Celia woke up and didn't see you first, she would be heartbroken. Celia is so naive, always standing up for you despite the pain it brings her."
"If Celia didn't love you so deeply, I would never let her marry you."
Alisha spoke without interruption from start to finish.
Gabriel couldn't hold back any longer and snapped, "Be quiet. How can she rest with you talking like this?"
"Okay!" Alisha finally fell silent.
After about half an hour.
Suddenly, Celia's hand moved.
Alisha was the first to notice and immediately called out excitedly, "Celia, it's me. You're awake, right?"
"Celia, open your eyes."
Gabriel also called out from the side, "Celia, it's me. Don't sleep anymore. Wake up, okay?"
Under everyone's calls, Celia fluttered her eyelashes and slowly opened her eyes.
When Celia awoke, the first thing she saw was Gabriel, and she immediately hugged him excitedly.
"Oh my God, am I dreaming?"
"Francis, it's you, right?"
"You didn't leave. You didn't abandon me, right?"
Celia cried tears of joy, laughing and crying at the same time.
She hugged Gabriel tightly, her voice filled with joy, "I knew it. You can't bear to leave me. You love me."
"Francis, since Jessica is gone, can you give up on her? Let's live a good life together, understand each other, and be a happy couple in our marriage, okay?"
Seeing her expectant gaze, Gabriel realized he had to pretend for now.
"Okay." Gabriel nodded.
But Gabriel's hands didn't hug Celia; he just patted her gently.
The next two days passed quickly.
Gabriel acted very proactive and diligent every day.
He not only prepared Celia's favorite meals daily but also managed every detail with meticulous care.
Even Celia's mood was well taken care of by him.
With his attentive care, Celia made a swift recovery.
More importantly, she felt like she was dreaming, like a princess in a fairy tale, deeply loved by her prince, Gabriel.
After two days of sweetness, Celia found herself completely lost in love.
Even Alisha, witnessing Celia's remarkable recovery, finally set aside her grudge against Francis.
The next morning was the day of discharge.
That day, Gabriel, as usual, brought a lunchbox to the ward.
Seeing the lunchbox in his hand, Celia smiled sweetly and reached out to take it.
Yet, as she picked up the lunchbox and felt its unexpected lightness, Celia found herself puzzled.
"Francis, did you take the wrong one? There doesn't seem to be any soup in here."
At that moment, Gabriel suddenly stood up.
He formed a chilling, emotionless smile on his lips.
"No." He answered indifferently.
Celia's smile abruptly solidified into an expression of shock, "Francis, what's wrong? Your sudden smile feels strange to me."
"Strange?" He sneered disdainfully, his smile grew more pronounced as he cast a cold glance at Celia, "We're married. How can you feel strange?"
"But..." Celia hesitated and then chose to rephrase her words.
"Francis, have you been too tired taking care of me lately? I'm about to be discharged. Once I'm out, you should rest well and stop worrying about me."
At that moment, Theron and Alisha pushed the door open and came in.
Seeing them, Francis coldly said, "Alright, you're all here. We can start now."
"Start what?" Celia looked confused.
Instantly, she became anxious, "Francis, what are you talking about? You seem very unusual today."
