Chapter 813 Stop Provoking
"Mr. Taft, Susan just called and said that Ms. Morgan has a high fever that won't go down. It's very serious!"
As soon as Willie finished speaking, Quentin got out of bed.
He spoke while getting dressed, "Get the car ready for me immediately."
"Mr. Taft, Ms. Morgan isn't here. She's on a business trip to Aurora City."
Quentin frowned. "What is she doing in Aurora City?"
"It seems she's filming this season's dating show. The location is in Aurora City."
"Then prepare the plane!" Quentin quickly said.
Willie was completely stunned. "Mr. Taft, you mean you're going there now?"
"Yes, immediately."
That night, Grace was in a daze.
When she woke up, she felt a pain on the back of her hand.
Looking closely, she saw a white room, and the bright light above her was blinding.
Grace spoke softly, immediately asking, "Susan, what's going on? Where am I now?"
Seeing Grace awake, Susan immediately walked over, "Grace, you're finally awake. You scared me, you know?"
"You had a high fever all night and didn't respond when I called you."
Grace then noticed the IV drip beside her.
However, her expression was calm, without any particular emotion.
"Grace, the medicine is only halfway through. Don't talk, just rest. I'll stay with you."
"Okay!" Grace nodded and closed her eyes.
She woke up again to the sound of voices in the room. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Linda and Mark standing beside her.
Seeing Grace awake, they immediately walked over and asked anxiously, "Grace, how do you feel? Any better?"
Grace nodded, "Much better. Why are you both here?"
Mark reached out to touch Grace's forehead and said, "The fever is gone now. Why are you talking nonsense? You're so sick, of course, we had to come."
"We've already talked to the show crew. Filming will be postponed for two days. The other guests can have two days of free time, so don't worry. Rest and get better before working."
Seeing their concerned eyes, Grace obediently nodded, "Okay, I'll listen to you."
Grace's body had been weak lately, and she needed to take care of herself, so they wouldn't worry about her.
"Don't worry, the fever is gone now. I feel much better. I'll eat well and rest for the next two days. I won't let myself get sick again."
With Grace's assurance, they both breathed a sigh of relief.
At that moment, Linda turned to Susan, "Grace was already feverish when you left yesterday. Why didn't you tell me then?"
"Linda," Grace immediately said, "It's not Susan's fault. She didn't know I had a fever at the time."
Linda looked over, "Then I have to say this to you. You knew you were sick but hid it. Do you think working while sick is very dedicated? What if something really happened to you? What would we, who care about you, do?"
"You don't take your health seriously at all, Grace. If you don't take care of it, no one else can."
Linda was very angry this time, so her tone was particularly strong.
But she had a point.
Like a wake-up call, Grace suddenly felt much clearer.
"Linda, you're right. I won't do this again."
Linda nodded.
When she turned around, her eyes were red.
Linda knew that Grace was not over Quentin.
Grace still thought about Quentin, loved Quentin, and had a bit of hope for him, which made her sink deeper and get more hurt.
Linda saw it all and felt the pain, but the more she saw it, the more she had to wake Grace up.
Only then could Grace truly move on from Quentin and start a new life.
Breakfast was eaten together, and with Mark there, the table was filled with laughter and joy.
After breakfast, Susan suddenly looked at Linda, worried.
"What's wrong? What happened?" Linda's professional instinct immediately sensed something was wrong.
Susan handed over her phone. Linda took one look and immediately instructed, "Keep an eye on her phone. Try not to let Grace see it today."
But as soon as she finished speaking, Grace's voice came through, "Susan, where's my phone? Can you get it for me?"
Susan immediately looked to Linda for help.
"Just say that when you rushed her to the hospital, the phone was left at the hotel," Linda suggested.
Susan said this, but Grace was persistent, "Why don't you go get it for me? Otherwise, I'll be bored here all day!"
Linda walked over, "There's a TV in the hospital. You can watch TV. Take this opportunity to break your habit of always looking at your phone and rest. You just promised me."
"Okay!" Grace had to nod obediently.
Mark had to leave after breakfast due to work.
After settling Grace, Linda left to handle work matters.
But as soon as she stepped out, she saw a familiar figure in the hallway.
Quentin!
How dare he come here?
In the past, Linda would have greeted him respectfully.
But this time, she walked past him in her high heels, completely ignoring him.
"How is she?"
Quentin stepped forward to block Linda's path and spoke first.
Linda looked up coldly, "Mr. Taft, since you already have a fiancée and are about to get married, you should stay away from Grace!"
"Since you've made your choice, don't keep bothering her."
"Her career is finally picking up. If she gets involved with you again, it will be disastrous."
"Mr. Taft, please, for Grace's sake, leave her with some dignity. I will be forever grateful!"
Linda's words were distant.
"You're right. I won't have any negative impact on her. I won't go near her or enter that door. I just want to know how she's doing. Is she better?"
"If that's what you want to know, I can tell you that Grace is fine now. You don't need to worry."
"Good, then I'm relieved."
After speaking, Quentin turned and left.
Linda was about to leave when she got a call from Susan, "Linda, Grace has seen the news on her phone."
