Chapter 324 Gone Mad
She was floored, staring at Gabriel in disbelief. "Wait, did you really bring me here to order wedding dress?"
Gabriel nodded, then he added, "But it's not to order wedding dress, it's to pick it up."
"What?" Now, Jessica was even more puzzled. "You mean you already ordered it?"
"Come on, don't you remember? I brought you here last time to order it."
Jessica's eyes widened in realization. "You mean the wedding dress we picked out last time was for me?"
"Who else would it be for? Why do you think I insisted on bringing you along?"
"But you said it was for your future wife," Jessica said, feeling a bit hurt.
Gabriel was blunt as ever. "And aren't you my future wife?"
"You said it was for someone else," Jessica pouted.
Gabriel pinched her cheek and frowned. "You were always pushing me away back then. I just wanted to get a rise out of you."
He had already made up his mind that she was the one. No way was he marrying anyone else.
A few minutes later, they walked inside together, led by the staff, and Jessica's jaw dropped again when she saw the custom-made wedding dress. It was breathtaking.
The only word that came to mind was "beautiful." From the design to the final product, it was stunning. The embroidery was so detailed and lifelike, all done by hand.
Seeing Jessica's eyes light up with amazement and love, Gabriel felt it was all worth it.
"Do you like it?" he asked.
Jessica nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, I love it!"
He had given her so many surprises today. Standing on her tiptoes, she wrapped her arms around Gabriel's neck. "I know it's cheesy, but thank you, Mr. Walton!"
"Is a verbal thank you all I get?" Gabriel's eyes smoldered, clearly wanting more.
"There are people around!" Jessica said, blushing.
The staff nearby quickly turned away, but it was so obvious that Jessica felt even more embarrassed.
Gabriel knew she was shy and didn't expect her to make the first move. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her sweetly.
That night, Jessica had the sweetest dream. In it, she wore the wedding dress and married Gabriel with everyone cheering them on. Not long after the wedding, they had a baby girl and lived happily ever after.
But Jessica never saw the big twist coming.
It was the weekend, so Jessica slept in a bit. But just after nine, she got a bunch of video calls from Grace. Thinking it was urgent, she answered right away.
"Jessica, wake up. Look, do you know this woman?" Grace pointed her phone at a woman.
Jessica squinted at the screen and nodded. "Yeah, I know her. What's going on?"
The woman in the screen was none other than Patricia, who was holding a press conference in the hotel lobby.
"You really know her?" Grace was floored. "Get to Radiant Pearl Hotel right now. I just walked in from the lobby and heard her saying you're pregnant and engaged to her son. I was stunned."
"What?" Jessica was wide awake now. "Grace, are you sure you didn't mishear?"
Grace was adamant. "Absolutely sure. I even got a video. This woman said your wedding date is set and you're getting married soon. What a joke. How could I not know about your wedding? And why would some random woman hold a press conference to announce it?"
Jessica was fuming. "Grace, wait for me. I'm on my way."
"Okay."
After hanging up, Jessica checked her phone. There were already reports online saying she was pregnant with Jack's baby and that their wedding date was set.
"This is insane, total nonsense." Jessica was livid.
That Patricia was simply out of her mind.
No wonder Patricia's affection felt off when they first met. It all made sense now.
Patricia's affection was fake; she wanted to use Jessica to get back at Gabriel. It was terrifying.
On the way, Jessica called Jack. "Do you know what your mother said and did online? Jack, we agreed we had nothing to do with each other. How did your mother find out about my pregnancy?"
"I told her," Jack admitted.
"Are you out of your mind? Even if I'm pregnant, what does it have to do with you? Jack, have you lost it?" Jessica was shaking with anger.
"Jessica," Jack said seriously, "My baby is definitely related to me."
"Jack, are you delusional? How can you shamelessly claim this baby is yours? I'll say it again, this baby has nothing to do with you, and neither do I."
"Jessica, I know you're just in shock and don't want to admit it. I've thought about it seriously. The girl in the video is definitely you, so the baby in your womb is definitely mine." Jack continued confidently, "Since it's my baby, I will take responsibility."
"You're nuts. I'll say it again; the baby is Gabriel's and has nothing to do with you." Jessica shouted and hung up angrily.
She was still breathing heavily from the anger.
When she arrived, it was just in time. The press conference had just ended, and Patricia was answering reporters' questions and hadn't left yet.
Seeing her gentle and graceful demeanor, Jessica wanted to rip off her hypocritical mask.
But she held back and approached with good manners to question her.
"After telling so many lies, don't you feel any guilt?"
Seeing Jessica in front of her, Patricia smiled gently, still looking hypocritically kind. "Jessica, I already know about you and Jack. Since you're pregnant, don't worry. Jack will take responsibility. There are many rumors, so I took the initiative to announce the wedding plans."
"Patricia," Jessica couldn't hold back her roar, "Don't think you can force me. I'll tell you, even if I die, I won't marry Jack. Stop dreaming!"
