Chapter 510 Gabriel, I Miss You So Much 1

"Vincent, what's going on?" Tina turned to look at him.

"Sorry, I couldn't bear to disappoint Gilbert and Freddy just now, so I agreed with them. I hope you don't take it to heart."

"Don't worry, in my mind, you're just a pure friend. I won't have any inappropriate thoughts about you."

Tina suddenly froze, and at that moment, her heart contracted forcefully.

Being rejected by the person you like;

Hearing the person you like to say they have no feelings for you;

What did that feel like?

It was probably like the sun shining brightly outside, warm as spring, but you felt like you were in an ice cellar, completely chilled.

After a while, Tina gently moved her fingers, but her body remained stiff.

"Sorry, I brought you trouble."

Seeing Tina not speaking, Vincent felt even more that he had caused her trouble, so he spoke again.

Tina blinked hard.

Tina forced herself to suppress all the emotions swirling in her heart, and she managed a slight smile. "No, Vincent, you're overthinking it."

"Good, as long as you didn't misunderstand."

"Don't worry, I know you have someone in your heart. I won't take it seriously."

Hearing Tina's firm assurance, Vincent felt much relieved.

"Vincent, do you have anything else?" Tina clenched her hands, trying to act nonchalant.

"No, you go ahead."

"Okay."

After a trip to the restroom, Tina came out splashing cold water on her face.

Maybe the water was too cold, or maybe her heart was cold, but it brought back some of her thoughts.

Tina reached out and patted her cheeks, looking at herself in the mirror and thinking. 'Tina, what are you doing? It was impossible, how could you have such extravagant hopes!'

'You knew it was just a dream, so why not stand by his side as a friend?'

'Why did you have to hold onto hope?'

'So Tina, you need to wake up. Even if he liked you, you two are from completely different worlds.'

Taking a deep breath, Tina wiped the water off her face.

Unable to face him immediately, Tina stood in the small garden outside for a while.

Tina only returned to the private room after her heart had calmed down a bit.

Seeing her come in, Jessica spoke up, "Tina, can you watch Freddy and Gilbert for me? I have something to discuss with Vincent."

"Sure, you guys go ahead."

In the next room, Jessica got straight to the point, "Vincent, if I'm not mistaken, I was able to get out because of Jack's help, right?"

Vincent was surprised.

But soon, Vincent's expression returned to calm. "I knew I couldn't hide it from you."

"When Jack came to me, I didn't see it that way. Even when he said goodbye, I thought it was fake. But now that I think about it, maybe his goodbye was genuine."

"Maybe he had already decided to get me out at that time."

"And to get me out in just three days, unless Carolyn changed her testimony, even if you found evidence, it wouldn't be so fast. So after thinking a bit, I quickly figured it out."

Vincent stepped forward to comfort her. "Don't think about it anymore. The most important thing is that you're out."

"So what about him? Has he left?"

Vincent nodded. "Yes, this morning's flight."

Jessica was stunned. "This morning? He didn't wait for Patricia's verdict?"

"He said he believes in the judgment of law and justice."

Jack's transformation deeply affected Jessica.

If it weren't for everything that happened, Jack would have been a pitiful person too.

But even though Jack helped her, some mistakes are unforgivable.

Like Gabriel's disappearance.

If it weren't for Jack, their family of five wouldn't be separated.

After dinner, Jessica took Freddy and Gilbert to the hospital to see Danielle.

Danielle was lying in bed, with almost no change.

But even so, Jessica saw Jonah busying around, washing Danielle's face and combing her hair.

Not only that, Jonah clumsily used his rough hands to put a pretty hair clip in Danielle's hair.

Next to the hair clip, a few bright flowers were adorning it.

On the way back, Jessica noticed the flowers downstairs and remembered that Jonah must have picked them himself.

Danielle was someone who lived very elegantly, with meticulous attention to her clothing and appearance.

Danielle especially loved flowers, so Jonah placed a bouquet in the ward every day.

In the car on the way back, Jessica felt very downhearted.

A perfectly good family was now almost broken.

But no matter how sad Jessica was, life had to go on.

By summer, Jessica's baby was already six or seven months along.

Jessica's belly was getting bigger and bigger;

Her movements were becoming more restricted.

She waited, day after day.

But Jessica hadn't heard any news about Gabriel.

Instead, her summer dresses were getting tight around her belly.

So, Jessica had Louie accompany her to the mall to buy some clothes.

As for the things needed for the baby's birth, she hadn't started buying them.

Because she always felt that Gabriel would come back.

She wanted to wait for him to come back and buy them together.

There were many styles of summer dresses, and even though Jessica was pregnant, it was easy to choose.

And she quickly found the styles she wanted.

At the checkout, she handed her card to Louie to pay and pack the clothes.

"Okay, Mrs. Walton, please wait on the sofa."

"Okay."

Jessica picked up a glass of water, about to drink, but then her eyes fell on the window outside.

Suddenly, she froze.

The man outside, Efren, looked exactly like Gabriel!

Not only that, but even the clothes he was wearing were the same ones Gabriel often wore.

It couldn't be, there couldn't be such a coincidence in this world.

Thinking of a certain possibility, Jessica immediately put down the glass and rushed out in a panic.

Her mind was almost blank, unable to think of much, just instinctively following Efren's figure.

Since Efren was walking fast, Jessica was afraid of losing him, so she hurried to keep up.

At this point, Jessica was already a bit out of breath.

The baby was also kicking her belly.

Her belly tightened with each kick, but Jessica chased after that figure, her eyes determined.

"Baby, hold on, that person looks like your dad. I have to catch up."

At this moment, Efren walked into a restaurant.

Jessica stopped at the door, touched her belly, and nervously said, "Baby, do you think the person inside could be your dad?"
