Chapter 838 The Wedding Day 3
Jessica's attitude was cold. "Since Quentin has already given up on Grace, why is he even here?"
"I think Kenneth is pretty good. Although Kenneth and Grace don't have true love, the wedding setup today was very thoughtful, and he treats Grace well."
"Quentin only makes Grace sad. He's given up on her twice already; no one can bear another one."
Hearing her words, Gabriel immediately took her hand.
"Honey, this time I want to make my stance clear. I'm on your side; Quentin is definitely in the wrong."
Seeing Jessica angry, Stella wrapped her fair arms around Gabriel's neck, her big, shiny eyes looking at Jessica, and spoke in a soft, sweet voice.
"Mommy, don't be mad, don't be mean to Daddy!"
Jessica thought for a moment and realized that Gilbert and Freddy were more adorable; no matter what happened, they always stood by her side.
In comparison, Stella was completely on Gabriel's side.
She had given birth to a little rival.
"Stella, give your mommy a kiss and tell her not to be mad."
Stella nodded, then hugged Gabriel and gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek.
"Kiss Daddy first!"
After kissing Gabriel, she leaned over and kissed Jessica on the cheek.
Gabriel took the opportunity to kiss Jessica on the cheek as well.
Not long after the phone call, Grace heard a knock on the door.
Thinking it was Kenneth, she immediately got up, turned around, and forced a smile. "Kenneth!"
However, before she could finish saying his name, she was stunned to see Quentin standing there.
"Quentin, why is it you?"
She couldn't believe her eyes.
Today was his wedding day with Caroline, so he shouldn't be here.
Quentin quickly closed the door with one hand and locked it.
Then, with his tall figure, he walked over step by step.
Grace retreated while coldly questioning, "What are you doing here?"
"Quentin, today is my wedding day with Kenneth."
Quentin sneered.
His eyes were bloodshot, and the look in them was filled with extreme pain.
"Grace, I always thought you were lying to me, just trying to scare me, make me feel heartbroken, and regretful."
"But I didn't expect you to actually want to marry Kenneth."
Grace looked at him seriously. "Quentin, I've always been serious. I've never joked with you. It's you who has been deceiving yourself."
"Or do you think that after you've married Caroline, I should cry my heart out and wait for you to come back and love me without any complaints?"
"Kenneth will be here soon, and our wedding is about to start. I don't want him to misunderstand."
Quentin stared at her intently. "Grace, do you think that now that I'm here, I'll just watch you marry Kenneth?"
"You can't stop me. My mind is made up."
"Is that so? But what if Kenneth can't make it to the wedding? Grace, tell me, how will you marry him then?"
As soon as Quentin said this, Grace immediately realized what was happening.
"Quentin, you're shameless. What right do you have to ruin my wedding?"
"Who are you? What right do you have?"
Grace clenched her fists and glared at him angrily.
She had decided to give up everything and start a new life, but he was cutting off all her paths and pushing her to the brink.
"Grace, come with me!" Quentin said firmly, looking at her.
"Impossible!" Grace looked at him coldly, "Quentin, from the moment you gave up on me, from the moment you agreed to marry Caroline, there was nothing between us anymore."
"Grace, I know you're angry, but this is not up to you. Today, you must come with me!"
As soon as Quentin finished speaking, he suddenly reached out and pressed the back of Grace's neck.
Suddenly, Grace fainted in his arms.
Quentin immediately made a phone call: "Is everything ready?"
Willie replied, "Mr. Taft, everything is ready. I'm waiting for you in the underground parking lot!"
After hanging up, Quentin carried Grace out of the hotel room.
On the other side, Caroline was frantically calling Quentin.
But no matter how many times Caroline called, no one answered.
Caroline was very anxious and called Ruby.
"Mrs. Taft." As soon as Caroline got through, she started crying.
"Caroline, why are you crying? Did something happen? Tell me quickly." Ruby became nervous, a very bad feeling flashing through her mind.
"Mom, Quentin hasn't arrived. I've been waiting for him for so long."
As soon as Caroline said this, Ruby realized the seriousness of the situation.
"Caroline, don't worry. I heard there was a car accident on the road today, and it's very congested. Maybe he's delayed. I'll call and check."
"I've called, but Quentin isn't answering. Mrs. Taft, do you think Quentin has changed his mind? Will he..."
Before she could finish, Ruby interrupted, "Absolutely not! Caroline, don't think about anything. Just wait for a moment. Quentin will definitely marry you!"
"Okay, Mrs. Taft, I'll wait for your call!"
The Taft family's inheritance, such a large family, such a huge temptation, Ruby didn't believe Quentin would give it up.
Quentin had grown up in the best environment, having everything top-notch, the best, and irreplaceable.
All of this was not just because of his abilities.
A more important reason was that he was Ruby's only son.
Without this identity, he might not have reached his current status and position on his own.
So, Ruby was certain that Quentin was just throwing a tantrum and wouldn't run away from the wedding.
She immediately called Quentin.
In the car, Quentin glanced at the phone coldly and hung up.
Ruby persistently kept calling.
She made several calls in a row, but no one answered.
Now, she was starting to panic.
Soon, she sent a message: [Quentin, don't be stubborn. The wedding is about to start, and all the guests have arrived. Do you want everyone to laugh at the Taft family and the Stewart family?]
[If you don't come, James won't spare the Taft family. The Taft family will face destruction.]
[Quentin, reply to my message. Remember, no matter what happens, you must marry Caroline today!]
Quentin glanced at the message coldly and then turned off his phone.
