Chapter 539 Jessica is Sick 2

Louie had just finished speaking when Francis rushed up like a madman.

Opening the door, he saw Jessica lying on the large bed, her tiny body curled up into a ball.

When he saw her face, pale and bloodless, his heart felt as if it had been fiercely gripped by something, causing him immense pain.

"Jessica!"

Francis approached her, gently calling out.

Perhaps hearing Gabriel's voice, Jessica seemed to have some reaction.

She furrowed her brows and began to shake her head vigorously.

"Jessica, it's Francis. I'm here to see you. You need to pull yourself together."

However, upon hearing this, Jessica suddenly quieted down.

Francis?

Such a familiar voice, but it wasn't Gabriel.

Francis was just Celia's fiancé, not Gabriel at all.

"What's wrong with her? How did it get this serious?" Francis asked Louie anxiously.

"A cold."

"Didn't you buy her medicine? Haven't you been taking good care of her? How did she get sick?"

Louie looked at him and said coldly. "Mr. Gutierrez, not all illnesses are caused by neglect. Some are due to a troubled heart."

Francis frowned. "What troubled heart? Explain it to me."

"Mr. Gutierrez, do you not understand, or are you pretending not to? I believe Mrs. Walton has told you more than once that you are Gabriel Walton. You just lost your memory and became Francis Gutierrez."

"After losing your memory, you not only completely forgot Mrs. Walton, you forgot your child, and all the beautiful moments between you two."

"Not only that, you even got a beautiful fiancée. Since you disappeared, Mrs. Walton has been unable to sleep day and night, crying every day, waiting and hoping for you."

"And this is the result she got. You saw it, and she is a pregnant woman."

"All these blows are fatal to Mrs. Walton. She set the three-day agreement hoping you would regain your memory and remember everything between you two, but you didn't. You left decisively and resolutely."

"Mrs. Walton didn't say it, but her heart was filled with sorrow, unable to bear it all, which is why this illness came so fiercely and knocked her down instantly."

After Louie finished speaking, Francis lowered his head, silent for a long time.

Francis's gaze fell on her pale, calm face, and his heart ached as if it were being cut by a knife.

Francis knew he had already fallen.

"Since it started because of me, I'll stay and take care of her until she recovers."

Louie, however, looked at him with a disdainful cold smile. "Mr. Gutierrez, aren't you worried about your fiancée at home being jealous?"

"I know my limits," he replied.

"Alright." Louie nodded. "Since you want to take care of Mrs. Walton, I hope you agree to one condition."

"What condition?"

"Mrs. Walton is longing for Gabriel, not Francis. So if you decide to stay, stay as Gabriel, as Mr. Walton."

"And you must fulfill all of Mrs. Walton's requests."

This time, Francis agreed almost without thinking.

"Alright."

"In that case, I'll leave Mrs. Walton in your care. I'll be right outside the door. If you need anything, you can find me."

After Louie left and closed the door, the room was instantly left with only Jessica and Francis.

Francis reached out and touched Jessica's head; it was still burning hot.

Francis found a basin and two towels, continuously applying them to Jessica's head.

After many applications, there was some effect.

Jessica's serene face looked particularly weak under the light.

Francis's heart suddenly ached.

Francis looked at her, his hand almost unconsciously falling on her slender eyebrows, and gently stroked them.

At the same time, Francis spoke softly, "Jessica, it's Gabriel. I'm here. Can you hear me?"

"I'm sorry for making you suffer."

"You need to be strong and get better soon. Once you're well, we'll go home together."

Sure enough, this time, Francis's words had an effect.

In a daze, Jessica seemed to hear him.

She shook her head while appearing to struggle intensely.

"Gabriel."

"Honey."

She murmured, her soft voice so light and tender, filling one with pity.

Her hands began to grasp aimlessly.

Francis immediately held her hand, pressing her palm against his cheek.

"Jessica, can you open your eyes and look at me?"

At that moment, Jessica's eyelids fluttered.

Then, she opened her eyes in a daze.

When she saw Francis, she immediately stretched out her arms and excitedly hugged his neck.

At the same time, she joyfully exclaimed, "Gabriel, is it you?"

"I didn't get it wrong, did I?"

She asked, eagerly wanting an answer.

Francis nodded, "Yes, Jessica, it's me. I'm Gabriel."

"Honey, you're not lying to me, right? You've come back to me and the baby."

Jessica, with tears in her eyes, looked up at Francis, her eyes filled with tears.

Francis lowered his head and kissed her forehead, offering her a sense of reassurance.

At the same time, he responded with utmost gentleness, "Silly, how could I bear to lie to you?"

Jessica's tears could no longer be held back and fell fiercely.

Seeing the tears on her cheeks, Francis seemed to go mad.

He reached out and gently wiped her tears with his slightly rough fingers.

As more tears flowed from Jessica's face, his hand couldn't seem to wipe them all away.

Suddenly, he leaned in and did something crazy.

His lips touched Jessica's face.

He treated her like a rare treasure, kissing away all her tears bit by bit, gently and carefully.

"Gabriel."

Suddenly, Jessica cried even harder.

She reached out, hugging Francis's waist, leaning her whole body into his arms.

Listening to his heartbeat, she was almost ecstatic.

"You didn't lie to me. You are Gabriel, my husband."

"Fool, of course, I am Gabriel." Francis affectionately pinched her cheek.

Jessica smiled gently, then hugged him tighter.

At the same time, she spoke dominantly, "Gabriel, from now on, you are not allowed to leave me again, and you have to promise you won't forget me."

"Otherwise, I will never want you anymore."

"Do you remember?" Jessica finished, looking at him seriously.
