"You coming back today makes me so happy."
"Go see your mom and talk to her. If she knows you're back, she'll be overjoyed."

Gabriel reached out and patted his shoulder as well.
"Dad, I'm back."

Gabriel reached out, gently holding Danielle's hand against his face.

"Mom, Jessica is due to have the baby in a month. We had it checked; it's a girl. Didn't you always want a granddaughter? And Dad, he's aged a lot over the past six months, taking care of you and managing the company. He still loves you as always."

"She just went upstairs. Mr. Myles said Mommy shouldn't stay up late and persuaded her for a long time before she went up. But Freddy and I noticed that Mommy wasn't happy at all. She was very sad," Gilbert said.
Freddy nodded, "Alright, Daddy, Gilbert, and I are going to bed. You go cheer up Mommy!"
"Although we love Daddy, we love Mommy more. So, warning you, Mommy is pregnant, you absolutely can't make her angry."

Standing at the door, Gabriel hesitated to knock.
He took out a cigarette and smoked it quickly.
He took out a second one and finished it quickly too.
When he reached for a third, the pack was empty.

He knocked heavily on the door.
The person who opened the door was Louie.
"Mr. Walton!" Louie greeted respectfully.
Gabriel just glanced at Louie and walked straight in.
Then, Gabriel closed the door forcefully.
Louie was instantly shut out.
Jessica was standing by the window, a gentle breeze blowing in, lifting her dress and slightly tousling her hair.
Unable to hold back any longer, Gabriel walked over and hugged her from behind.
"Jessica."
His voice had a low, seductive quality, reminiscent of aged wine.
"Let go of me," Jessica said, trying to pull his arms from around her waist.
But Gabriel's arms were like steel, unmovable.
"Let go of me!" Jessica repeated, struggling.
"No."
"Jessica, from now on, I will never let go of your hand, ever."
Gabriel said firmly, holding Jessica's arms and pulling her into his embrace.
Jessica couldn't move at all and had to let him hold her.
Gabriel's voice came closer, his lips almost touching her ear.
"Jessica, do you know? I've only been back for two days, but each second feels like an eternity.
"Do you know how jealous I am? I'm your husband, but I can't be part of anything. It's all Louie. Your tastes, your habits, everything, only Louie is involved."
"And I, I'm like a transparent person."
