Chapter 697 A Satisfying Counterattack 2
Grace gently released her hand and looked at Beth.
This time, however, her expression was not cold at all.
Not only that, she also curled her lips into a nonchalant smile. "Beth, very good."
"What's very good?" Beth was puzzled.
The next moment, Beth was yanked to the table by Grace.
Immediately, the ashtray on the table fell into Grace's hand.
Then, before Beth could even think.
Suddenly, Beth felt a sharp pain in her head.
The ashtray in Grace's hand had smashed directly onto Beth's head.
Beth's entire head throbbed with intense pain.
She reached up to hold her head, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looked at Grace. "How dare you hit me?"
"Grace, do you know what you've done?"
Grace calmly put down the ashtray and looked at her coldly.
Her red lips parted slightly as she gave her answer. "I know."
"Grace, are you crazy? You know and you still dare?"
Beth was furious. "Fine, you hit me. I will definitely sue you."
"Want to sue me?" Grace sneered.
Beth held her head, gritting her teeth in anger. "Of course, Grace, I will definitely sue you. I will make you pay a heavy price."
"Fine, let's wait and see. But before that, I think I should help you treat the wound on your head."
"Who needs your fake concern?"
However, Beth misunderstood.
Grace dragged her to the bathroom.
She turned on the showerhead and started rinsing Beth's head.
Soon, the blood on Beth's forehead was washed away.
Upon closer inspection, apart from bruising and swelling, there was nothing else visible, no blood at all.
Beth finally realized what had happened. "Grace, you wicked woman, not only did you hit me, but you also tried to cover it up?"
"Cover it up?" Grace sneered.
Beth left only with hysterical shouting.
"Grace, you lunatic."
"I won't let you get away with this, definitely."
Holding the showerhead, Grace slowly rinsed her hands.
Then she turned off the water and walked step by step towards Beth.
Beth was so intimidated by Grace's powerful aura that she could only keep retreating.
In the end, Beth was backed up against the wall and had nowhere to retreat.
Grace lifted her cold eyelids. "Beth, I warn you, my patience and tolerance have limits."
"I'm no longer the Grace from a few years ago. These past few days, I haven't reacted, not because I'm afraid of you or because I'm weak, but because I disdain to."
"But if you insist on repeatedly challenging my bottom line, don't blame me for being ruthless."
"This time it was your head, next time it might not be." Grace's gaze deliberately fell on her nose.
Beth immediately covered her nose. "Why are you looking at my nose?"
Grace smiled. "If I remember correctly, your nose is surgically enhanced, right?"
"No, it's natural. Don't talk nonsense."
"Is that so?" Her eyes turned cold again. "I don't care if your nose is real or not, but remember, Beth, if there's a next time, it won't be an ashtray hitting your forehead, but your perfectly enhanced nose."
"Such a beautiful person, if the bridge of your nose gets broken, it might not be as satisfactory after reconstruction."
"Grace, stop trying to scare me."
"Scare you?" She sneered. "If you don't believe me, feel free to try."
"Let me remind you, I've already left the entertainment industry once, so I'm not afraid of anything. But you're different. Do you want to experience the taste of falling from heaven to hell, being despised by everyone?"
These words were indeed the most convincing.
Beth's eyes immediately dimmed, losing all their light.
And her always arrogant attitude gradually softened.
"Grace, I can promise not to bother you anymore, but I have one condition: you must not flirt with Marlon, and you must not go after him."
"Beth, I have no interest in your relationship with Marlon. A man like Marlon, I wouldn't look at him even if I were blind."
Beth, however, refused to believe it. "You say that now, but I don't believe you!"
"Believe it or not, a scumbag like Marlon is only a treasure to you. I wouldn't want him even if you gave him to me."
"Grace, make yourself clear. What do you mean by scumbag? What exactly do you mean?"
However, Beth's questioning was destined to get no answer.
Grace reached out, took a towel from the bathroom rack, and draped it over Beth.
For once, Grace even helped her put it on properly.
Before turning around, Grace spoke in an unusually good mood.
"Beth, for the sake of us both being women, and considering I hit you."
"I'll give you one last piece of advice: a man like Marlon is not suitable for you. Staying with him won't make you happy. Leaving him might help you find your happiness."
"Grace, what do you mean? Why are you always so vague? Make yourself clear!"
"No, you must make yourself clear."
"I'm going to rest now, leave!"
Beth finally left under Grace's intimidating gaze.
Linda came over just two minutes after Beth left.
Seeing Grace, Linda immediately checked her over several times, worriedly.
After confirming that Grace was not injured, Linda finally relaxed. "It's good you're not hurt, Grace, you nearly gave me a heart attack!"
"Hurt!" To her surprise, Grace suddenly spoke.
Linda immediately became very concerned. "Where are you hurt? Come here, let me see."
"It's not me, it's Beth." Grace continued.
"What?" Linda was stunned.
"Linda, you heard right, I hit her."
"Oh my God, you hit Beth? What did you use to hit Beth?"
Linda now felt her blood pressure rising.
Grace's gaze fell on the table as she spoke. "An ashtray."
Linda was silent.
"Grace, if something like this happens again, you can leave it to me to handle. Even if you want to deal with her, you don't have to do it so openly. I'll find a way to handle it privately. You hit her with an ashtray; given her ruthless nature, she will definitely retaliate against you. Aren't you afraid she'll call the police?"
Grace sat in the chair, her tone very calm.
"Linda, don't worry. She won't."
"Why? How can you be so sure? Don't you know Beth is vindictive?"
