Chapter 607 Stella's Banquet
Jessica's heart tightened immediately, and she quickly said, "Mr. Price, please go ahead!"
"I heard from Alfonso that tomorrow is Stella's banquet, and Alfonso will be attending, right?"
Jessica nodded, "Yes."
Isaac sighed deeply and said earnestly, "Jessica, I need to tell you the truth about some things from back then. Alfonso's car explosion wasn't an accident; it was meticulously planned by those criminals with the intent to take his life."
Jessica listened, her heart trembling.
Jessica grew even more anxious and filled with worry.
"Mr. Price, can you tell me more details?"
Isaac nodded, "Alright."
"Back then, during Alfonso's undercover period, he brought back a lot of valuable information, which helped us destroy many of their hideouts and caused them significant damage."
"Not only that, but we also captured their deputy leader on the spot. He was shot several times, leading to his death from excessive blood loss. Later, Alfonso's identity was exposed, and they found out he was the one who leaked the information, so they were determined to avenge their deputy leader and make Alfonso pay with his life."
"Since they already have suspicions about your identity, if Alfonso shows up, they will quickly trace back to his true identity, which would be extremely dangerous for him."
Jessica understood what Isaac meant.
"Mr. Price, thank you so much for telling me this. Don't worry, to protect my father's safety, I will temporarily hide any connection between us."
"Good, you are a sensible child," Isaac sighed.
After hanging up the phone, Jessica immediately called Alfonso.
When Alfonso heard he couldn't attend Stella's banquet, he got angry and insisted on going no matter what.
"Dad, I understand how you feel, but for your safety, you must listen to me this time."
"No way, how can I miss Stella's banquet? It's such an important event. I must attend it."
Isaac knew Alfonso's stubbornness well and knew he couldn't persuade him, so he told Jessica everything.
"Dad, have you thought about the fact that those people are looking for you? We just reunited, and if something happens to you, would you leave me alone in this world again?"
"I..."
Seeing Alfonso hesitate, Jessica continued, "Moreover, if your identity is exposed, have you thought about whether those people would spare me and my children?"
Jessica's questions left Alfonso in deep silence.
Although he was reluctant, he knew Jessica was right.
He could disregard his life, but he had to consider the children.
"Dad, it's just that you can't appear in public. After the banquet, I'll have someone bring you over."
"And if you want to see them, you can come anytime. Family happiness isn't confined to just one day."
In the end, Alfonso agreed.
On the day of Stella's banquet, the hotel's decorations were unusually cute.
Every detail was filled with a girlish charm, and the entire setup was pink and lovely.
Gabriel took Gilbert and Freddy to the hotel first.
Jessica arrived later, holding Stella.
Seeing the hotel's decorations, Jessica was stunned.
"Honey, it's so beautiful. Did you design all this?" Jessica asked excitedly, her eyes sparkling like little stars.
"Yes, do you like it?"
Jessica looked at Stella in her arms and playfully said, "Stella, your daddy is asking if you like it."
Gabriel suddenly leaned close to Jessica's ear, lowered his voice, and said tenderly, "Silly, she's too young to understand this, but your reaction is a bit slow."
"What?"
Jessica was momentarily confused.
By the time she realized, the hotel's screen was already displaying photos of the two of them.
One after another, all were records of their life together over the years.
Emotional music filled the hall, and everyone's eyes turned towards them.
Jessica stared blankly at the screen, which showed all the moments they had shared.
Happy, and sad, but no matter what, they were all real experiences they had gone through together.
Over the years, she had always felt that time flew by, that she had suddenly grown old and become the mother of three children.
But it turned out, she had walked step by step from her youthful days, and they had already been through so much together.
"When did you do all this? How come I had no idea?"
Jessica's eyes were moist, and Gabriel handed Stella to Jonah.
Then he looked at her and said, "I started planning this a long time ago. If I had told you, it wouldn't have been a surprise!"
The photos on the screen had finished playing, but Jessica was still immersed in all the memories of them.
At that moment, rose petals suddenly began to fall from the ceiling, creating a beautiful scene.
The guests suddenly stood up from their seats, each holding a rose and handing it to Jessica.
One after another.
By the time the last rose was given, she was holding a large bouquet, almost too big to carry.
Jessica's face, surrounded by the red roses, looked even more radiant and beautiful.
At that moment, Gabriel reached out and took Jessica's hand.
Instantly, all the roses in her arms fell to the ground.
And they stood in a sea of beautiful roses.
The music in the hall changed from emotional singing to soft background music.
Gabriel's voice was particularly clear, deep, and sexy, "Jessica, before preparing all this, I thought of many things to say. I even wrote a draft, fearing I wouldn't express it well."
"But just now, I realized I don't need any of that."
"I just want to tell you my truest thoughts. Over the years, we've been through so much together. You went from being a young, beautiful girl to marrying me, becoming my wife, and now the mother of our three children, giving me the warmest home."
"More than happiness, I feel contentment."
"And today, seeing you walk in holding Stella, the words I most wanted to say to you weren't 'I love you.'"
Jessica was already moved to tears.
Gabriel's voice grew even deeper, "Jessica, I want you to know that no matter what roles you take on in the future, you are, first and foremost, your person; then, my beloved wife; and finally, the mother of our child."
