Chapter 286 The Tragic End 1
Sarah's eyes went wide. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.
She thought once the truth was out, Diana would totally throw her under the bus.
But she never saw it coming that Diana could be this nasty and full of crap.
Diana started bawling, "Gabriel, you gotta back me up! I was all set to leave you and Jessica alone, but Sarah came to me, saying if I followed her plan, I could totally get back with you. I'm sorry. I was so messed up in the head."
Her acting? Oscar-worthy.
Sarah couldn't take it anymore and stormed up, slapping Diana right across the face.
Even she was shocked she did that.
Sure, the Walton Family spoiled her, but she never actually hit someone before.
Diana was fuming inside, but she played the victim, covering her face and crying, "Gabriel, look at this; you're right here, and she dares to bully me. Imagine what she would do when you're not around!"
Then she squatted down, sobbing like a baby.
Sarah's jaw almost hit the floor.
If she hadn't seen it herself, she wouldn't believe Diana could act this well.
"Diana, you..." Sarah was fuming, "Do you have any shame? This was all your plan. You called me, saying you were hurt and needed help. I've been taking care of you for half a month, and this is how you repay me? Do you even have a conscience? How can you be so evil?" She felt a bit better after yelling.
Diana said, "Sarah, I know you're mad, and I know you regret it. Yeah, you saved me, but you can't dump all the blame on me! I'm sorry, Sarah. I want to repay you, but I can't keep this secret anymore."
Sarah was shaking with rage.
She lost it, grabbed Diana's hair, and shouted, "I trusted you so much, but I've never seen anyone as shameless as you. Aren't you scared of karma?"
Sarah was out of her mind, yanking Diana's hair like she wanted to rip it all out.
"Sarah, let go; please let go! Gabriel, help me. It hurts; it hurts." Diana cried.
She didn't fight back, just curled up on the ground, sobbing.
But the more she acted like this, the angrier Sarah got.
She pulled harder, yanking out a big chunk of Diana's hair.
Diana's forehead now had a big bald spot.
Seeing that, Sarah felt a bit satisfied.
While they were tangled up, Jessica got bored.
It was just a catfight.
They were getting what they deserved.
"I'm kinda hungry. Wanna grab something to eat?" Jessica said.
"I'll come with you," Gabriel said.
Jessica looked at him, surprised, "Aren't you gonna stay and see who's right and wrong?"
"Don't need to," he said, ice-cold.
Then he grabbed Jessica's hand and walked off.
Seeing him leave, Diana wailed, "Gabriel, don't go. Save me."
But Gabriel just kept walking, holding Jessica's hand, not looking back, not even a little bit.
Any pity he had for Diana was long gone.
He'd given her too many chances; from now on, he was done being soft.
"Gabriel," Diana screamed, her voice breaking.
She knew if he left, it was game over for her.
"Gabriel, don't you remember I saved your..." life?
Before she could finish, Sarah yanked her hair again.
Then she dragged her to the bathroom like she was taking out the trash.
"Ah, it hurts; let go of me. Sarah, you psycho, let go of me."
Diana screamed, her scalp on fire.
But Sarah didn't care, her hatred only growing.
How much had she trusted her before?
Now, she hated her just as much.
Just thinking about how much she had defended and trusted her made her regret it even more.
"It hurts?" Sarah looked at her, eyes wild, shouting, "I hurt more than you, Diana. I treated you like a sister, but what did you do? You used me, never cared. Do you know? I wish I could tear you apart right now."
Kicking open the bathroom door, Sarah dragged Diana under the shower.
She turned on the showerhead, cranking it to the hottest setting, drenching Diana.
As she soaked Diana, Sarah screamed, "How dare you use me and slander me?"
The bathroom filled with steam from the hot water.
Diana screamed in pain, jumping around trying to escape.
But it was useless; Sarah held the showerhead, and no matter where Diana ran, she got drenched with hot water.
It was like being boiled alive.
The burning pain spread all over her body.
Diana felt like she was being cooked.
"Sarah, stop; stop now. Are you trying to kill me?" Diana shouted, but it was useless.
Seeing her soaking wet and burning, Sarah suddenly smirked.
She quickly turned the water from the hottest to the coldest.
Then she drenched Diana again.
The sudden switch from hot to cold made Diana scream, hugging her head and squatting in the corner like a lunatic.
The freezing water poured down on her.
She was dripping wet, looking utterly miserable.
Diana hugged herself, shivering.
Seeing her pale face and blue lips, Sarah finally threw down the showerhead and said coldly, "Diana, this is what you get for being evil. This is just my part. Wait until Gabriel gets his hands on you—he'll never forgive you."
With that, Sarah turned to leave.
At that moment, Diana saw the showerhead on the floor.
Suddenly, she got up, grabbed the showerhead, and like a madwoman, pulled Sarah back into the bathroom.
